Hi guys,
Since I've skinned my Vodafone branded Diamond with the HTC Black skin using TF3D Config, my top and bottom bars (where it says start and the manila softkeys) are some kind of shiny metallic grey. Is there an easy way that I can make these plain black again? It would look a lot better with the theme.
I have attached a screenshot to illustrate my problem.

search for 'Glossy Black Bars'
im pretty sure hes not searching for glossy black bars. but more like "classicblack.tsk"
assuming what youre asking for is the flat black bars.

oh.. ok .. maybe I didn't read it close enough
then just search for 'black.tsk' or 'HTC black.tsk'
This is the default Windows Mobile 6 look. UI Tweaker will bring back your black bars.

does the above do the keyboard button on the bottom bar? As ive used UITweaker to set black bars but when i have the keyboard up its button is greyish...

search for RC Mod on the forums...you can then change the top and bottom bars to your liking...

Ok.. we all know how to change the color of the glossy bars on top and bottom.
Is it possible to change the color to white? I didnt find something only about changing to all the colors of the rainbow, but not white.

its really not possible unless you change the battery graphics and stuff because they are all white...

mmhh.. yes i know that. but just basically, is it possible to change the color by - for example - another dword entry in the registry's basehue.
i know you can change it to silver or something..
I don't know what values are changed, but the installer name is "base hue fix". If you don't find it, you could always create a theme with the white bars. Spb has a free theme generator.
And this is kind of off topic but it has to do with theming, how do i get the 6.1 themes with the matte taskbar and the glossy bottom bars?

xml. actualy, there is a .provxml that changes the top bar to green for 6.1 I am trying to figure out how to change the color of that to black instead of green. I would use the ,provxml from diamond, however that also changes the bottom bar, and some of my programs rely on the botom bar (where the softkeys are) to remain uncovered. anybody?

Excelent themes, they gave me a idea for a new M2D skin....
Unfortunely Im having a bit of trouble making it work.
I tried it first with the top black-bottom white tsk and it showed me just the default grey 3d.
Then with the top orange-bottom white tsk and that one worked ok, I changed the skin colors from black to orange and it got even better.
BUT there is still a small black line, see:

Is there are way to remove the lines?

i installed the orange/white manila theme by twolf (the one you can see in the previous post), but i have a problem: in my rom the keyboard icon is white, so i can't see it on the white bottom bar.
can you tell me how change the color of the bottom bar? i want it in grey, like the color of the manila theme. i tried with themegence, but i wasn't able to do this

Im not using AM/PM. My clock format is HH:MM
Is it possible to edit the Manila files somehow to prevent the screen from dimming when you use the slider to switch screens?

I have not tried it, but it should work on the HD. If anyone knows differently, please say so.

Yep. Works. Very confusing visually for me, though. For future reference, the manila edits over on the Diamond forums tend to work on the HD, so you can search there, or a general search of the entire site.

That's great thanks. I see what you mean about it being confusing. It is hard to read if you have a light-colored wallpaper.
The reason I wanted this was I had installed the NoCurtains cab which removed the grey bars at the top and bottom of the TF3D screen, but then when I slide through the screens the middle bit of the screen goes grey but at the bottom and top where the "curtains" used to be you can see through to the wallpaper.

Cool. I think you can probably come up with a color scheme that works with this. I was messing around a bit, and found that it was really the white stock manila clock that made it hard to see, as I generally start to flip through the tabs from there. If the clock is black or smaller, etc. it works pretty nicely.

I like everything on it, except ughy leatherish-style theme. Question goes; how i change my upper and lower bars on homescreen completely black so they would match my new black wallpaper.

Change the settings /appearance to use the Rock and Republic Black, and manually select the background picture. This will set the top and bottom to black, if I recall correctly.
But in any case the answer is to get a theme that has black taskbars.
