Help for download wm6.1 sea version

Anyone can help to download and share somewhere? I want this ROM but couldn't download it as s/n problem. Thanks!!

to get the number to update u gotta take the battery out of your phone. it is under the battery

There is no upgrade for SEA.
HTC's fantastic support...
Use the cooked ROMs available. So many good designer ROMs available in the forum. Way better than HTC's.

Just dl the file from the link given. You have to sw off ur device and remove ur battery to see ur s/n. Thank you for the link.

why is it only for south east Asian countries?I'm in Iran and I couldn't access the file because of my serial number.I used direct link to download the stuff but is there any particular reason or any problem with it?the original windows mobile 6.1 from htc was a crap.it's slooooow! I wanted to ask if this upgrade can help.thanx buddies, keep up the good work!

i dunno why i have been upgrade to this bt have been comes out some prob ..
then curser dint work proberly .. once u turn off un activities then cannot be turn it back on .. sometimes the conectivities also have some problem .. mostly after install for the frist few day is ok bt after the next few day's the problem come out quickly .. usually this rom update is for htc p3651 is not for htc p3650.. pls note this .. once install the rom the most likely prob is the scroll prob and hang about 2 second once u open a new program .. anyone who have the same prob ?? anyone who can help ?? i was installing the 1 which b4 this rom was update .. any comment on that rom pls let me know or u may sent me private msg this would help me much coz i'm new to tis forum so thanks alot

Upgrade of ROM for Magic from official HTC website

Hello. I've bought HTC Magic recently. It is version 32a, as it has 288 MB of RAM.
Currently the build version is 2.16.*
So I wanted to download and upgrade to latest rom version 2.20.401.2 from HTC.
After putting my S/N HT97******** it shows me Sorry, this software download is not suitable for your device..
Is here anyone who could help me please?

If you **** around too much on the htc home pages you do not get to download any update. I do not know why it is so but so it was with me,
So turn off your browser to try again. or get a new IP address
Or **** in the slow updates and root your phone it takes five minutes. Then your phone will be double as fast .???????????

OK, I've tried changing the browser, deleting browser's cache, reconnecting to the other wifi (so other IP), but all without success.. Thanks anyway Any other suggestions please?

Kk, but I don't think it's the reason because it didn't work already when I visited HTC website for the very first time and as I wrote, I tried it with different IPs, browsers etc.. but anyway, I'll give it a try

Actually I thought the same firstly.. but I'm from Czech Republic and on the box of phone is written that it's for sales in CZ (Czech Republic) (and some other european countries), so it shouldn't be problem there

Mine is from czech also and the update didnt work either, from memory(but thats not real good either) the rom version the update is for was diferent

And did you manage to update your HTC Magic somehow or not in the end? (I mean like some official update).. sorry if dumb questions but my skills in this area are on quite low level yet

What for..? It's not about that I can't install the update.. It's about I can't download one from HTC web site..

Nope, its wasnt a major upgrade like sense or anything so I didnt bother. Got sick of waiting for htc to give the sense update so rooted and running MYHERO now, should have done it long ago

Thank you for your information. The device you bought is for Czech market Vodafone branded. The ROM upgrade on the HTC webpage is for unbranded devices only. The upgrades for branded devices are released by mobile network operators themselves.

Just a quick question about the new Rom Update.
I'm currently waiting for T-Mobile to release there version of the Rom update from version 1.43 to 1.66.
I can get a copy of the 1.66 official Rom Update from the HTC website (my mate has a HTC HD2 which is unbranded).
Could i update my Rom using the download? Would it cause any problems to the phone?

surely I don't have to wait the O2 customised rom?
Does this at all stop the sluggishness and freezing from time to time

O2 and VF both run locked ROMs - the S/Ns need to be cleared by O2/VF/HTC to allow download...

any workarounds? ;-D

For future reference, it tells you the max ROM version that you need the hotfixes for, on the page where you download them.
In this instance, there haven't been any that have had a ROM version higher than 1.66, so no - you don't need them

i have updated my rom early this morning as link was already posted in forum ...
and htc has updated their site latter in day ...
well i believe updates already included in this new rom ...
system is smooth
in messaging # of texts by a person is shown after his name
key board seems ok now ...
camera still have some brightness issues with led ...
lagness seems to be disappeared from messaging (currently after restoring my sms phone is still smooth)
task manager short cut is present in start menu
....
the above are some changes i have noted for now

I haven't found anything noticeable except a lower screen sensitivity and some value added applications.

Before I update my ROM, I read this
"The update will take up to 30 minutes, DO NOT interrupt the update process, make/receive phone calls, disconnect the device from the PC, or press any buttons until the process has been completed."
And wondered how I can stop any incoming calls, messages, mails etc. Should I just put it into airplane mode or something?

New Dutch ROM 1.72.172.0 on HTC website...

... but I can't download it. After I enter my serial number, it says the software is not fit for my device. I highly doubt that, since it's a regular Dutch HD2 and I could download the previous update (1.66) just fine.
Could it be that they don't have the ROM file fully online yet?
I guess I'll try again later. If anyone has more success, please let me know.

I found out about it through the RSS feed for Dutch HD2 upgrades, but I just noticed it hasn't even shown up in their support news section yet. I guess I'll just have to wait.

I just saw another post here that referred to it as the 'Vodafone 1.72 ROM' but I always figured HTC wouldn't put it on their own website then.
I guess they do.

I experienced the same, I don't understand why they never post a decent description with their updates. That would probably relieve their own help desk too!

That is with rom 1.43. not with rom 1.66.

this new rom and the new fixes have been removed from the HTC site

I can't download the new rom either, though I have vodafone.

If you want to send the device for support, go look for the "HTC RUU" (google it, or search for it on HTC's website). Basically it is an windows executable which returns your whole device to default (ROM, recovery and bootloader).
I guess this is what you want?

Guys, I am after the same thing as well but a WWE release. I restored it to version - RUU_Hero_HTC_WWE_2.73.405.66_WWE_test_signed_NoDri ver.exe and the phone has gone to 1.5. How do I get the phone to get Android 2.1 ?

Looked around in settings...there's nothing like this....Saw Security - > Firmware Download but no option of 'Check update' :S
Isn't there a 2.1 RUU that I can go to ?
