I Heard some things about spbplus, ilauncher and others. Now you as experinced users please advise me about which one I must install.
Thank you
I would go with:
Pocket Breeze & iLauncher
They are from SBSH and my favorite Today Plugins. Spb Tools are great too - but slow down the Wizard much more compared to the SBSH Tools.

Bingo !
Fully agree on this, specially the support at sbsh is fantastic
Cheers

I installed SBSH PocketBreeze & iLauncher yesterday & think they're great, definitely recommend them
Don't forget Resco Explorer today plug-in, i couldn't live without it.
Another nice thing with PocketBreeze is that it uses the D-Pad; I'm into the no-stylus mode. Also it allows tabs-- I run PocketWeather (very nice), Backup, and ContactBreeze. Although ContactBreeze is merely "OK" in my book.
Separately, I run LVM time, which gives a narrow Date/Time strip on today and also puts the time in the taskbar, screening out the battery. It's free!

I have the Rescoe Explorer today plugin. How does it compare to PocketBreeze? Is one better or faster than the other, or should they be used together?
I am a big fan of SPB PocketPlus. Its not free but imo its the best one around. Its got a battery indicator, the requisit today screen tweaks like icons, indicators and tons more.
Pocket Weather
Is SBSH Pocket Weather transferable between devices i.e. if I pay $10 now & install on my Wizard will I be able to transfer it to a Prophet later?
Rather broad question...

It's a rather broad question, isn't it? What is the best Today Plugin for what? Launching applications? Showing the weather? Showing your agenda? Controlling a media player?
I am using WisBar Desktop, You can make as much as You want windows
with shortcuts of programs like desktop version.

They do totally different things, so can be used together.
I use spb pocket plus and pocket breeze. Pocket breeze is a must have,IMO
Hi guys...
I'm looking for a good today plugin for use in the TyTN in order to see calendar and task events... like Pocket Breezer or SPB Diary.
The thing here is that I would like to know if have had some experience with this apps in the TyTN; I really wont want to have problems with the stability/operation of the device.
In My old WM2003SE the Pocket Breeze was just perfect, but when I first try it on the TyTN I had some issues...
I just would like to know, in your experience...wich app would you recomend for have a good view of the calendar in the today screen.
Thanks in advace for sharing!!
Try Today Agenda - free & works well.
What issues did you have with Pocket Breeze? Have you tried the latest 5.2 version? You could post a question on the SBSH forum, they can usually resolve problems with you.
I have Breeze on my T-Mobile MDA Vario II and it works flawlessly.
I have use the V 5.001 trial version (cause I wanted to check if worked before buying it)... The main problem was that TyTN crashed too many times and i need to soft reset a lot; even after a soft reset sometimes still doesn work and had to aply a new soft reset.
I will give a try to the latest version as you said and also will use it without any other today plugin...I use to have Spb weather, skype, and the lock device in my today screen.
thanks for the comments...!!
any one else with another app that can try...??
thanks
I use spb Diary and really like it. As you have spb weather, you can integrate that into the diary as an additional feature too.
As baxter says try today agenda a very good plugin and its free. Many have even switched from PB to this.
see here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=270288
I'm using the pack of sbsh apps, pocketbreeze, pocketweather, ilauncher, and contactbreeze on my 8525 without issue...

As for me I would advice SPB Diary. It works stable on my HTC TyTN for 3 months. I also apreciated its "completeness" - it presents almost all PIM information in one place - calendar, tasks, e-mails, contacts.
Re stability - I understand it often depends on the app collection you install. The more install - the less stable system become , of cause it;s always possible to try different combintaions and find a good balance, but...
Good luck in search and try!
p.s. I also tried Pocket Breeze + Contacts and found these combination working a bit slower and giving me less features than SPB Pocket Plus + SPB Diary, IMHO.
I am also a fan of today agenda
I am using Pocket Breeze, iLauncher and Pocket Weather all together on a Tytn....works perfectly.
Be sure to install in system memory, not the storage card.
I have found the TyTn will occassionally freeze when these were installed on the storage card. Since moving to main memory I have been very stable.

as a rule of thumb, anything that access's the today screen or is constantly in use should be installed to the main memory and not the card.. some will work just fine installed to the card, but if you find you are having issues with it then you might want to move it to the phone
I use Calendar+ from http://mohairsofa.com/Default.aspx/document/10
and it's FREE

Thank you all...
I think this was the problem; the trial period I used pocket breezer and SPB Diary I installed them in Storage card... so, now I will install in main memory; as some members have said, both app works just fine without problems so, now the point is just decide the one that looks better and gives the more info..
Also will give a try to the Today Agenda... always nice try the free ones.. ;-)
Regards!
Same here... calendar + rocks! Free, simple, small... can't beat that!
Cal+ works perfect for me too!
I used calendar+ and tasks+ for over a year. Switched to Today Agenda. Free and much better. Check it out.

Anyone know a program that sits on the today screen that has updated weather AND currency built in?
Or otherwise a great weather program and a great currency program that I could install together?
I've been using Worldmate 2005 for a long time which worked really well. I'm just having problems with it in Windows Mobile 6 and I think the new Worldmate is too clunky and slow.

FIZZ Traveller...AWESOME. I used it when I travel internationally and it is great!
Great program, thanks! I hadn't seen this one before. I like the features and Today screen plugin. Wish it had currency changer on the today screen too but otherwise it's awesome.
Hi there!
I have decided that I need something more business oriented for my diamond's today screen, so I am using Manilla control to work with pocket breeze (in order to get best of both worlds). Now what I need is a plugin which works well on my diamond, pocket breeze and manilla control and gives you time, missed calls and smss. I have tried to install the HTC Home plugin but i had to hard reset the phone ... since it did not want to get past startup! Thats why I decided to ask this time...
I m sure you have plenty of options and ideas ... maybe you could post a screenshot too of the application you propose...
Thanks,
Franklin
I'm in the same situation as you, I don't think you'll find a solution to directly integrate PB into TF3D. You'll have to change to another user interface that supports 3rd party plugins eg. Wisbar AD and a few others.
It's a shame HTC didn't include 3rd party plugin support in the new TF3D 2.
Yeah
Yesss... I know that you can't use both ... what I am asking is what plugin (3rd part) is compatible with manilla controller (used to switch between touchflo and today screen) and pocket breeze to add some phone info!
You mentioned on program there ..are there anyother ones worth mentioning? I wanted a HTC Home Plugin sort of effect (missed calls, sms and a clock)
Thanks for any replys.
Well for notifications, missed calls, SMS, Emails etc I use PhoneAlarm by PocketMAX, the latest version has many different types of skins etc and itself is a fairly powerful program.

And this is an alternative one:

Hello, I'm wondering if pocket plus will work on the HD2.
The main question for me is to be able to add my own doc's and maps to the home screen (made in the windows explorer)
Does the tap-menu's on the home screen work? (to change icons and names etc)
I think it will not be compatible with IE but thats not a problem to me.
(I'm really not a HTCsense-fan.. Pocket Plus is the only (simple enough) home schreen application witch is most simular to a pc/laptop
spb usually gives you a 2week free trial to use their products. Do you not have an hd2 to test on?

Yes, it's working fine here! (even the close button is working with and without sense enabled)
Ranney
Well, I don't have the HD2 yet, just an offer from my provider.
Now I use an Acer M900 (WM6.1) with pocket plus (4.1 legal registry) but I'm very charmed with the large HD2 screen
Actually I have the same doubts about:
-pocket informant 2007 and
-WK tasks

WKtasks works fine here.
I would suggest adding these programs to it's exceptions list though:
\Windows\shell32.exe
\Windows\services.exe
Otherwise the Start Menu won't work properly (due to the way 6.5 runs it)
OK,
How do you mean "adding to it's exeptions list"

There is an Exclusions list in the preferences of WKTask
OK, so you mean adding progs like pocket informant and pocket plus into the expetions from WK-tasks?
