touch: rss insted of weather

hi every one.
I am new In this forum, and I realy think it is great!!!
I am not a big fan of weather forcast but I like having my news/rss/podcat.. with me.
I they a tweek to change the weatherforcast tab on the touch homepage and have rss news (some thing like newsBreak or Spb Insight).

That's a great idea but I doubt it's easy to accomplish. There probably a bunch of .dll's in the HTC Home screen that would have to get edited and some kind of a RSS engine would have to get implemented. But I think HTC should consider this in their next renditions of their now famous plug-in.

is there anything new/different compared to the Touch version of HTC Home?

Yeah, screen caps and a description of changes would be nice before I install this on my Vogue. I tried installing it in the WM6 emulator, but it didn't show up

Who is going to be the crazy one to install and give us screenies + details of what has changed?
Welp, I guess I will.

Well, I can't tell a difference other then it changes to Celsius from Fahrenheit. Also it does not work with the HHC Customizer.
From what i see on the forums they made a few fixes for VGA devices, but nothing us Touch users can live without.

Update to HTC Home Plugin?

I saw in the Kaiser fourm they have 2.08 something for the HTC home plugin and I was wondering if it's safe to update my 1.50 (stock Sprint) on the Vogue (touch whatever) or will this cause issues because it's in the Kaiser forum?

I'm using it right now and am having no problems.

I've looked on the Kaiser forum but couldn't find it, there is a page with a bunch of HTC cab files but most don't work on the Touch, could you give a link to that plugin?

Whats different regarding the plugin? Any new features?

anyone have any info on this? I didnt see the udpate over there and havent heard anything about what it does.

I think it's called Schen's 6 Tab home plugin. The big advantage (for me at least) is that you can pick which tabs and what order they're in.
The weather tab is useless for me since I don't live near a city on the official list or the Accuweather site by modding it, so I could finally get rid of it and replace it.

HTC Touch Cruise Footprints

Hi guys,
I was just looking at the HTC website and saw the new HTC Touch Cruise. It seems to have a new tab on manila called footprint which I think is something like Apple announced on the iPhone... the Geotaggin
Anyone knows if this is possible on Jade? If we install this new malina version do we get that to work?

if i'm not wrong, new touch cruise uses TF3D so we couldn't use that manila version. however, someone could add this tab to TF2D, i guess.

I have to say your wrong, the new Cruise uses TF2D, but i also would like to have the new Footprint app on my Jade (with TF2D)
Dunno if it's possible, would be great though!

Do you know where I can find the original one from HTC ?

I know of a good tf2d editor but have yet to find a 3d one that works with the tp2. Will continue looking and let you know.
