Attached is the Sprint PictureMail Cab I found on another site. Currently it is not working on my Touch but I was hoping some of the geniuses here can figure out why. I will help test in any capacity. Thanks!
Couldn't attach so here is the direct link for it:

NOTE: I have not found a way to uninstall this so if anyone knows, please post.
ya know I was thinkin' about this cuz it doesn't ask for the password to be set up. I will look into it if that is the same problem u r having too.
Mms Program For Touch
Called Smms Picture Mail Composer By Someguy Mms Works Perfectly On My Htc Touch Changed My Life On The Touch
no2chem ripped these and its working on the titan, you could try it for the touch. it should work. http://www.nuerom.com
I tried the cab on my Touch and so far no luck. When I attach a picture that message disappears and seems to be gone. I'll play around with it and report back if I get it to work. If you get it going let us know.
I read that the requirements for this to work is that you'd have to call Sprint tech support, and have them reset your picturemail account.
I use sMMS and it does work great. Was just hoping for an OEM solution. I couldn't get it to work on my touch. When I access the picture mail account it does some kind of setup and gives me an error.
It's now working intermittently for me.
I went into the setup and reviewed what was there and made some minor settings adjustments and it now works about 1 out of 5 tries. When it works it's very nice. Easy to send and what the recipient receives is very good.
I don't think that the problem is in the default server settings as no matter what's changed there's no change in the problem.
Computerjunkie, I didn't experience any problem with my install on my Touch as you've had. It's just the attaching pic thingy for me which I think others are also seeing.
I originally had the same issue as the OP, however I simply reinstalled to the device and it appears to be working just fine! Also, if its any difference I am running Juicy8

Hi peeps.
After reading through various posts on this board, I thought I would hard resst my exec and install the cabs manually as suggested to get the features I want without the bloatware.
So far so good, installed everything I wanted and the connections only cab that is availble but, my MMS doesn't seem to work.
There is no MMS account in poutlook and there's noway that I can see of composing new MMS messages.
How does everyone else go on with this because when I've looked through some of the posts, everyone says thier SMS is working OK.
It's probably something stupid...
Cheers,
Smiff.
See? That's what happens when you don't proof-read your posts - there's loads of spelling mistooks and typos; and then no-one responds.
But seriously, someone else must have seen this as I'm not the only one to do a minimal install. Any ideas?
Cheers,
Smiff.
Answers in this thread for the cab file to install.

I've read that one multiple times but still have no working MMS in this situation...
I THINK
I beleive you have to create new account. It appears to be setting up email just continue through and at some point you can select type and set to mms. Then highlight account click on settings and put in your providers mms setting and bingo...
must say I havent had this problem on the exec but did on xdaiis and that solved it..
hope that helps
stay happy

Hi
Thanks for the tip but unfortunately, it didn't work that way
However, I have managed to get it working now - i did a hard reset again and a clean install and then installed 5 cabs - voicemail one, bt patch, both "shortcut" ones and the uaprof one.
The only thing I did differently this time from all the others is that I switched it off with the power button and on again before soft resetting it - i'm pretty sure that this did the trick
Cheers,
Smiff.
I wasn't sure if there was something covering a fix for this issue...
If you install the 5 tab HTC Home and you have the MMS app installed, the email button on the Home sends you the MMS regardless of what you do.
If you have the 3 tab version however, it will bring you to the selection screen of messaging (if you have it set to Display account picker).
If anyone knows of a fix or has a fix for this issue, I would love to find out I would like to use the 5 tab version, but this annoys me too much to keep it. I have looked around in the HTC Home section of the registry and didn't see anything that stood out for that option.
Does anyone know where I can get ArcSoft's MMS Composer v. 4.0 cab file? It is really much improved. I've tried it on my TyTN. It combines SMS and MMS in one and checks one's address book for the appropriate phone numbers when MMSing.
I check ArcSoft's site and could not find it.
At one point it was floating around at ppcgeeks, but it would not work. It was sending additional information when trying to send a message. The Sprint server was rejecting everything that was coming from the v.4 app. None of the registry settings that were modified seemed to of fixed it.
I've just seen that the 6 tab is finally out, so we'll have to throw that one in as well.
I haven't tried the 6-tab version... does it have the same results as the 5-tab?

I'd sure like to try it anyway. I have tried a v 3.0+ which was made for the Apache. It worked well but it wasn't perfect. It would give you the option of sending some kind of pic message that Verizon uses but Sprint doesn't. When the MMS option was chosen, it worked great. I tried to post this .cab file, but this site wouldn't let me.
Adding another email account worked for me
I just added my yahoo email account, and when I tap on the mail icon, it now brings me to the screen giving me the choice to choose Text Message, MMS, Outlook Email, & now my Yahoo email (not exactly in that order).
Thanks for the fix as this was killing me.
Still a problem?
I have the 6-tab version and have this same issue. One icon opens text messages and the other MMS messages. Is there any way to change these to open the email? MMS is useless to me.

I have the same problem. Anyone know what is causing this? It used to work fine until I flashed to 6.1 not long ago and had to reinstall
I can't for the life of me get my mms to work. I've got the ppcgeeks cab with the sprint server already set up, i've reset multiple times and i've also tried adding a new sprintpcs server with all the correct info but nothing..all i get is a "Message delivery failed Retry now or Retry Later"
Anyone know how to fix this? I've been at this for a few hours now and can't find anything!
I found with the ppcgeeks mms program that you don't have to set up any servers, just use the [email protected] or whatever and it seems to work. I'd say uninstall it and reinstall then just try to send something with all the default settings and see if that works. Are you with sprint?
Yes i'm with sprint. I've uninstalled, reset and reinstalled a few times and still getting the same error. I've also tried the version of the cab that has the verizon server set up on it and adjusted settings from there..also i've done it without messing with the settings..nothing. Agh! I just want to be able to send pictures!!!
I know what you mean, I had trouble with the ppcgeeks mms program when I first tried to get it to work right after I got the phone, I ended up giving up on it figuring i'd just have to email pics. Then like a month later I downloaded a different version figured I'd give it another shot. I uploaded the version I have that works on my phone. When i install it I don't have to set up any servers or anything it just says [email protected] but it works. Once installed i just go into my pictures album find the picture i want to send highlight it, hit the menu softkey, select send, click on "New Pix Miessage(MMS)" that'll bring up the app then just put the phone number at the top and off it goes. Let me know if you have any luck.
for some reason it wouldn't let me upload in my last post, but here unzip this file, then put the cab on your phone and let me know if it works, good luck
Where can I get the version you have that you say works?
it wouldn't let me upload it in the first post so i reposted it, its at the bottom of my last post. ArcsoftMMS.zip
That cab file seems to work for me. Thanks alot..4 hours later and it works..not to mention this isn't the first day i've messed with it. Thanks!! I'll have to hold onto that file.
glad it works for you, the only problem i ever ran into was once i kept getting a message "could not send, your file of xkb is over the limit of 0kb" which i couldn't get rid of no matter what i did, then i simply uninstalled and reinstalled and it started working again. I've read about other people getting the same problem, so if it ever happens just un/reinstall and you should be good. My friends got pissed cause right after I finally got it to work after like months of trying I had to make it worth it so I kept sending them pictures nonstop lol
Yeah it'll work for me at times, then it'll stop and I'll have to resinstall it.
what rom are u guys using?
im using dcds at the moment and no luck with mms...
it worked with the colonels but no luck since..i kinda miss it =(
I have been trying to get my Touch to send and receive MMS but I can't get it to work. I have tried every hack and regedit on PPCgeeks but have had no luck. Does anyone here know of a way to get MMS working on the Touch?
Thanks in advance guys.
PS, here is a list of all of the software I have installed on my Touch. Maybe it will help someone know what is causing my problem here:
HTC Streaming Media
HTC Action Screen
PocketCM Keyboard 0.12
Happy Tapping Keyboard
thisguyinoc CubeConfig
OZ Instant Messaging
Weatherpanel
Resco Keyboard Pro
Resco Explorer
Resco Registry Add-in
WM6 Palm Threaded SMS
Schaps Advanced Configuration Tool
HTC Audio Manager
HTC Home Customizer
HTC Home Plugin Kaizer 6 Tab
Hope that helps and I hope someone here can help me.
Using the built in SMS app and also trying Palm threaded SMS, I am not able to send or receive MMS at all unless it has been sent to my yahoo account and automatically downloads the attachments. Anybody have any idea how to bypass this?
I have tried this hack here: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=621
But with no luck.
Does noone here care enough about MMS to try to get it working on our Touch's?

I already tried that but with no luck. Thanks for the suggestion though. I have it downloaded 2 times on my computer for 2 different versions, the new one and the old one.
Unfortunately neither of them worked for me. I think for now I can live without MMS but I think this is a valid topic for discussion and something that needs to be remedied more effectively. A custom ROM with ArcSoft MMS 4.2.8.1 would probably do it. I used to have a T-Mobile MDA-AKA-HTC Wizard and I would flash custom ROMs every so often and all of them had working MMS built right into ROM.
I would like to have MMS because my fiance has MMS on her Sprint Upstage and being able to send and receive MMS from her would be nice.
I think it is a project that should be looked at a little more.
did your wizard allow you to send mms from text before?
i use email to phone email to send pics and such from the touch..

Yes my Wizard had Arcsoft composer 4.2.8.1 with MMS and SMS together in one application but separated and it did allow me to send MMS without having to use e-mail at all.
I did manage to get my Touch sending MMS without using e-mail though. I just performed a hard-reset and then installed the MMS quick fix from PPCGeeks and it works now but MMS won't go directly to the phone they're being sent to, they have to download the MMS to their phone through a link in their SMS.
I think that if someone can cook a ROM with ArcSoft Composer 4.2.8.1 the same way it was cooked into the Wizard ROM I was using, we would have no problems with MMS. I just don't have any knowledge of building ROMs and I have tried to learn before but I just can't seem to pick it up.

I think you mis-understood me. I have Palm Threaded SMS installed on my Touch as well as ArcSoft so I have my threaded SMS but it uses a different app for MMS.

hey, i know this doesnt sound like the best method to solve your issue... when i first got my touch (sprint) i tried the arcsoft from ppcgeeks and i kept getting an error. wouldnt send. problems connetions or sumthin. i dd a hard rest, went back to original unboxed settings (no apps what so ever) and i installed arcsoft... did a soft reset, still had a problem, waited about an hour, and boom it worked... idk what it did but i installed everything else that i had and it still works perfectly... good luck!

Yes I hard reset and then reinstalled the arcsoft MMS app from PPCGeeks and then I was able to send MMS. The recipient I sent them to only received a link to the file I sent that she could download from the internet but I was able to send the image to the sprint server for her to download.
Once I had that installed, I then reinstalled Palm Threaded SMS and my MMS still worked fine.

It works reasonably well. There are a few things I would change about it if I knew how. For example: The panel where you see what you are typing is covered by the onscreen keyboard and the the text messages display in a linear fashion with the newest at the bottom, also covered by the onscreen keyboard. Also the installation wipes out the outlook SMS app and the registry is kinda glitchy. It will sometimes not show the notification icon or will not show the counter on the home plugin and sometimes none at all.
If it was up to me and I knew how to modify the code, I would invert the application with the text input panel at the top and newest text messages displaying in a linear fashion from top to bottom. I would also fix the registry so that it is more stable.
Personally, I do not have these skills as I think that it would make a great addition to our Vogues.
You can find a link to the download for the WM6 version under one of my posts in the Vogue Upgrading thread.
For me
Sprint ONLY allows the receiving mms from others VIA a sprint website link...
Its not up to an app, thats just how sprint does it...
Is there any way to get MMS on the Bell Mobility version of the Touch? My plan includes unlimited picture and text messaging and would like to use it with my wife who is using a "regular" phone.
im with bell in canada as well, and have been dying to try out mms, but i just cant seem to get it, i have the unlimited data plan so i dont mind using a "threaded" service, but im kind of a noob at the whole "threaded" thing....but yes, if someone could possibly help me out with installing mms on a bell touch that would b great... i tried a few months ago with arcsoft, and unlocked the registry and added new bell settings, but i dont know why, they just didnt work either because the settings were wrong or something else...any advice/input would be greatly appreciated
i have the arcsoft mms app installed on my touch and it sends the pictures... but no one ever receives them... any ideas?
i had the same thing on my mogul and it worked fine... but now...
pleaseeeeee!
I have a working CAB install of Arcsoft 3.0.26.12C that I pulled from the Alltel Touch. It has been confirmed to work on the Sprint Mogul, and the Sprint Touch. You can find it on my site by clicking here.

Edit: NM For some reason my internet wouldn't load that page but it works now. Thanks!
Has anyone successfully got phonealarm working on a Titan or under WM6.1?
I have a new work VX6800 and dont want to get woken up for status emails at 3am, but do want to know if there is a problem. So I set up phonealarm to sound only for specified email addresses.
So far the different profiles have only got me a phone that alerts for every mail or no mails! not quite what I was after.
I can go in to more detail of my config if anyone can help. I also have a test case open with phonealarm, and will update if I get a reply if anyone has the same issues.
Thanks
Yes, I have it working
I have it working and my trial just expired so I need to go buy it. It seems to be the best app to accomplish the goal, I'm in the same boat and use it as you described.
I was hoping it would also work with Pocket Informatn but it looks like the other app they sell will do that so I think I need to buy both.
If you get me more details on what you setup I can tell you what I did. My alerts are based on different subject messages / priorities on my inbound txt (SMS). I've not yet worked on different times (can't recall if it does that) but do notice that different profiles do in fact impact the sounds played.
-Scott
Thanks for the reply, at least I know that there is not a hardware issue now. PocketMAX support also replied and said it was something to do with the repeating alarms that I set to "no alert".
I will test this later and see how I get on.
PA
I have been using phone alarm since it was in its 1.0 state.
I have my phone updated to 6.1 and it works fine.
