Hi
im sure u guys figured it out already - but i can't find the post in which there are instructions how to use adb and my samsung galaxy , cause i get an "device not found" error, and this is because i dont have the f***ing usb driver for my galaxy.
im running win xp sp2, the phone is NOT in storage mode, it IS in debug mode, and nps is installed.
I CANT FIND THE DRIVER FOR THAT "Other Devices -> Unknown device" hardware!!
please help or at least redirect to the post that solves this issue...
thanks!
You need to point it to the USB driver directory in the SDK folder for 1.5, you'll either need to force it or modify the inf file.
It doesnt work properly with the 1.6 driver. I posted a modified driver on the other forum, you can search there:

I'm having trouble getting the proper usb drivers loaded so i can root my new Nexus 7. I downloaded the Android SDK, unzipped and expanded the google drivers, but my Vista computer keeps giving me an error like "windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it". It shows the driver as Android Composite ADB Interface. Please help!!
You need to disable your computer's driver signature enforcement.
1)by the way - delete your device from Laptop`s device manager and unplug and plug again cable to you Nexus
2)download last version of ADB and Fastboot
3)check at storage menu - preference - camera (not mtp)
4)enter in developer item in settings menu and check USB debug - Android `ll show your alert message with mac adress of you Laptop - you must accept it
!!! Do not try to use some other sofware for rooting (this is bad idea)- you must doing it in fastboot by myself!!!
Please upload drivers for Elephone S7 4G 64GB/4GB . I need drivres for Windows XP SP3. Search in Google, but not find.
no drivers
I had the same problem on windows 10
What you need to do is change or update the driver that Windows is currently using whenever your plug your Android device into the computer via USB. To do this, open the Device Manager by clicking the Start menu and searching for “Device Manager.”
Look for a device that has the “ADB” designation. .” Expand the group by clicking the little arrow on the left, then right-click on the device and select “Update Driver Software” from the context menu.
right click on phone and pick ' let me pick from a list of device drivers on this computer
If you don’t see anything with “ADB” in the name, you may have to look elsewhere. I found it under “Portable Devices,” and it had the yellow exclamation mark that notes there’s a driver issue. Regardless of where you find the device, the required actions should be about the same.
The “Update Driver Software” window will ask you if you search or browse for driver software. You want to choose the browse option, which will advance you to the next step.
On the next screen, select “Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer” to advance to the next step.
This will present a long list of potential hardware types–select “Android Device” or “Android Phone.”
Finally, on the last screen you want to select the “MTP USB Device” NOT MTP device and then “Next.”
The device driver will then install over the old one, and your Android device will be recognized as a multimedia device as seen now in the File Manager.
It helped me to install the S7
i have same problem, windows 8.1, please send drivers to conect to pc

Hi
I am a new user for nexus 6p, For the first time I connected my device to Computer running windows 10 updated. My laptop didn't detect the usb and the driver is not installed properly, I tried downloading the latest usb driver but it didnt help , While searching for the driver folder it throws
Windows was unable to install your unkown drive
You can get the USB drivers straight from Google and try to uninstall/reinstall or download Wugfresh's NRT. There is very good driver installation tool and test to confirm you get both USB and fastboot drivers installed properly. Just follow the "Full Driver Installation Guide"

Hi... Do you have ADB enabled in developer options? If you don't have developer options enabled, go in: settings>about phone and type 7 times on the build number, then go back in settings > developer options and enable "android debugging".
Plug your N6 on your computer, check your phone screen and allow press ok when it asks to "allow USB debugging".
Does it change something? Is your N6 recognized in device manager? Does the driver updates?
...
So My puter recognizes my phone fine....
Pop opened the configuration and General tab says:
This device is not configured correctly. (Code 1)
A service installation section in this INF is invalid.
To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver.
I try and update the driver using the "Let the puter search" feature and it finds one and tells me:
Windows encountered a problem installing the driver software for your device.
Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it.
MPE Device
A service installation section in this INF is invalid.
If you know the manufacturer of your device, you can visit its website and check the support section for driver software.
This is all AFTER I downloaded the latest Google USB drivers and unzipped them.
Phone is set to MTP mode and debugging mode is unlocked and usb debugging is on.
No Go.
