Connection notification - Windows Mobile Development and Hacking General

I'm sorry to ask, but I've searched on threads and I can't find it.. I just got a replacement tilt and on my old one there was a cab file to get rid of the pop up connection notification up top when you connect to data. Can someone help?

CAB file ?? In Start | Settings | Sounds & Notifications | Notifications tab, find the "Connection Established" and "Connection Disconnected" options in the drop-down list and un-check the "Display message on screen" box.
Job done
Mark.

Problem with message sound

I have a problem with the sound for when I get a new message. It just won't play. I go into Start>>Settings>>Sounds & Notifications on the Notification tab I scroll down to "Messaging: New text message" and choose some sound... When I press play nothing happens, and neither when I get a message.
Has anyone had this problem or has anyone got any ideas of how to fix it?
Best regards - Oskar
I suggest you do a hard-rest after a fully backup...
It's ok now, I found what was wrong...
I had unchecked the box that says: "Enable sounds for Programs -> Notifications"
My bad, thanks for the tip though.

Old topic, but here ya go anyhow...

This gets rid of all GPRS connection status popups! (It worked perfect for me and others atleast)

Stupid "Trying to Connect" bubble

The stupid "Trying to Connect" bubble keeps coming up when I am in remote areas, which blocks my view of the screen so I can't see my GPS. Well, I'm glad it's trying to connect and will be glad if it can. But I really don't need to know about it. Any help?
Go to Start --> Settings --> Sounds & Notifications
Choose Notifications tab
From the Event drop down box choose "Connection established"
Take the tick out of "Display Message on screen"
Press OK
That should do it.

OK, that was a little too obvious. Thanks!

Youtube problem in TF3D

I have installed the TF3D in my x1 but the youtube.exe shortcut under internet is not working, popping up an error meassage-The file youtube can't be opened.Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate or one of its components cannot be found. If problem persists try reinstalling or restoring the file.
Why is that ? Please help
And one more issue..The TF3D isn't working in landscape mode? Is that common or any chance to fix it?
I think the youtube problem is about the language id at the end of youtube.exe (for example an english phone has youtube.exe.0409, and my swedish phone has youtube.exe.041d) in your windows folder. Check here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2931376&postcount=456
And about landscape mode, it just doesn't work with TF3D.
Thanks. Another issue i found that the sms notification is disabled. How to Enable that?
You mean a notification that the message was delivered?
If so, check here:
Start > Message function (or something like that), SMS \ MMS is selected right away, so click Menu > Options > click SMS \ MMS > and check the notification box.

No buddy, not that. I want the incoming text message notification at the left bottom of the x1 screen which stays there untill you read the message. Is there any option to enable that?
As far as I know, that notification only stays there for 10 seconds.
Don't know if there is an option to keep it there until you read the message.

Disable the tf3d,back to ur x1 home screen, send a message from ur other cell,u'll find for how long the notification stays there...
I don't have TF3D enabled. Just using the first ordinary panel, and the message stays there for 10 seconds..

New message notification - additional window

Hi,
when I receive new sms, it appears in tab at the bottom. That's OK. But it appears also in small window, which pops up when new message received. I have to click Menu and Dismiss (lower right corner) to get rid of it. Please, help me, how to get rid of this small window showing up permanently.
Thanx
Labus
Go to Settings - Sounds & Notifications - Notifications - Message: new message, uncheck display message on screen.
It is unchecked. Maybe this option is ignored, because I am using RingTone manager to set up ring tone for new message notify.
