Hey guys,
I tried updating to the latest TouchFlo 2D and it asked me to uninstall the previous version and I can't. I tried removing it completely and it failed. What can I do to get this back working?!
Get Sktools to uninstall it
i heard using sktools works.
i uninstalled manually(deleted ALL files first)
EDIT: damn beat me to it.
NO reason to create an entire thread on just how to uninstall a program.
Thread closed.

Well after applying a couple tweaks to my KJAM. I have a problem now, I cant uninstall any program. I go to add remove and select remove it then says cant remove, do i want to delete from program list. I also cant reinstall the same app...unless i delete the old directory manually. It seems to me that it is some form of read only protection. any ideas ??
I'm getting the same error as well. I used to have an app on my Jam that would uninstall files and its better then the built in uninstaller. Right now i'm lookin for it but can't remember its name..
i got the same problem
Same here
I have had that problem as well. I have found that if I soft reset the device, then run the uninstall, the program is conmpletely removed without issue. I believe that this error is caused by something related to the program still running in the background.

Tried using ActiveSync to add/remove programs?
I too have the same problem and i soft reset to properly uninstall anything.
You can use SKtools 2.3.30 at http://s-k-tools.com/ to uninstall any program you wish to
works well? thanks for the suggestion
Hi, I cannot seem to install the HTCPhone.cab app, it tells me that it is already installed, asks me to uninstall, then tells me it can't uninstall, and at the end of the installation tells me that it is unsuccessful... How do I clean up the registry / remove files in order to install the APP.
Thanks
Joel
Take a look in the registry at HKLM\Security\AppInstall, you should find it there if it's installed. maybe try renaming the key from there, since you're reinstalling it you might be ok. Or Try using something like memmaid to uninstall it, I think it can clear it up better. Thomas
I tried to install Bandswitch except for some reason it didn't work so I tried to uninstall it, it said that it was not completely removed and if I want to remove it from the list of installed programs, but the app still shows up in the uninstall list and I try to install the latest version it says it can't since there is a version already installed, it also tries to replace it but gives me an installation unsuccessful message.
Is there any way of completely getting rid of this and then being able to install the latest version.
sounds like you might need to hard reset unless you speak to the developer of the app you are having problems with.
unless... try installing the same version again?

Hi. You can use SK Tools to uninstall the app, and also use Memmaid to delete the shortcut(icon).
No hard reset needed
Windows Mobile can be a ***** for uninstalling apps. Usually if there is a process still running for the app when you try to uninstall it you will run into trouble.
Soft Reset between using an app and trying to remove it. Of course if the app loads itself on Start-up this will be futile
In this case it may be a Hard-Reset to fix the isue. Sorry.

Agreed, if you are using the "remove programs" option that comes with the phone, its not good.
I use Memmaid and it always removes it completely for me so as mentioned give that a go first before a hard reset.

Are you trying to uninstall via ActineSync/WinMODeviceCenter?
Do it from the phone and install by copying your cabs to the mem card and ruuning the installer from there.
Then you won't have a history of installed apps that builds up with AS/WMDC.
windows keep popping up @ startuptrying to launch these programs after ive already uninstalled them. do i need a reg esitor to clean em out? if so which peogram works with this phone? thanks
As the title says. Installed the latest version of CHT and now I want to uninstall it. It hangs the phone on both the program uninstall screen and also when it asks me to uninstall "older" version if i try to install CHT again. How do I completely remove it manually? I deleted all CHT files in the windows dir as well as all registry settings matching co0kie and it still detects it and won't uninstall. Please help!
I ran into the exact same problem. Does anyone know how to solve this problem? Thanks.
