Themes on 1.93 ROMS... - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV Themes and Apps

Am I right in thinking there are no themes for 1.93 ROMS? If so, why is this? I would hate to think I can never update my theme now I have a 1.93 based ROM!

I have updated my TF3D theme just fine with TF3D Config and I am using 1.93

Excellent, thanks for the reply! Do you need to use tf3d config to change themes then? Swift v.6.2 didn't include it as adv.config was bundled in instead.
Now I just have to find a theme that I like - I hate all the gold/sci-fi stuff. Just want clean, interesting looking icons myself...

TF3d themes installation for a 1.93 rom

Hey guys i have a diamond running the 1.93 official rom. Can someone please guide me how to change the TF3D themes on that. I have searched the forum many times but the answers i got weren't able to make it work. Some of them could successfully install some themes on their device, But i am not able to do it and i am seriously tired of the blue tab.
PS: i tried installing the call history, it didnt work also
the only mods that worked are the one for removing the curtains and background for all tabs, all the rest dont work
So someone PLEASE HWLP ME!!!!!
and what about the tf3d config 0.6.7?
i've also rom 1.93 an successfully installed it (despite the warning in the first post). on my diamond runs now the "dirtypaper" theme and i've no problems or bugs so far...

Stock ROM customizability

I recently got my Touch Pro 2, and love the device. However I'm still on T-Mobile 6.1 ROM, and waiting for their 6.5 update.
There are many custom tabs/screens for Manila on this forum. Is it possible to use them on this stock ROM? Or I must switch to a cooked one?
U going to have to swith to a custom rom. its best if you get your roms from thewingster.com
I guess flashing custom roms invalidates my warranty.
Thanks anyways, I might try it when I have a little more courage.
Don't listen to him, you don't need a custom ROM to customize TF3D. I use the stock ROM and I have switched wallpapers, clocks, taskbar icons, slider icons, lock screen and more. Tons of stuff you can do with stock ROM!
Here's an example:

EDIT: Just search a bit here and places like PPCGeeks etc, you can find tons of stuff. Most of the CABs from this forum (Rhodium > Rhodium themes, applications and software) work with the stock ROM. Just be sure to check which Manila / WM version they are made for. There are also many to be found in other categories here at XDA, and also you can google them.

Thanks a lot. That link looks very promising, I'll try it as soon as possible.
Ditto, I was going to say the same thing. It's not like your manila files are locked in stock ROMs. So you can manipulate them as you see fit.
You don't need to resort to flashing your ROM unless you want a complete different version of Manila.

Question for Themes....

Hey,
I was just wondering about themes for the HTC Legend. I have a stock Froyo ROM currently installed in my Legend. What is the difference between a Rom and a theme? Is a theme practically a Rom that we have to flash through recovery? If I install a theme in my Legend, does it replace my Rom I currently have installed? I was planning to get a Rom/Theme for my legend that has a nice style to it. (Transparent notification bar for example.).
PS: Can someone give me a good working nice style Rom? I wanna take a break from the current Rom I have to see what's out there. Thanks for the help. Sorry if this was a stupid question.
A theme is just that, a theme (try changing windows theme, you're still on windows!).
Cyanogen (the rom) has the theme chooser installed, which allows you to change the theme easily (no flashing, just install apk like normal apps). Make sure you pick an MDPI theme.
You mention you're on stock froyo, check out the guides on how to downgrade and install custom roms. Like this.
Thanks! Oh and I am rooted and just have a Froyo Rom installed is what I meant. Sorry for the confusion, the Rom I'm using is just an average HTC Sense Rom Froyo.
Check this thread for a comprehensive list of ThemeChoser themes. Make sure to pick mdpi ones.
