Have you been getting frustrated with some of the dialers that after you install, either the screen will look funny (see first picture) or smartdial menu is not appearing?
Well, after many testing, I have managed to find the solution to make it work. The skins I used for this 3G combo dialer comes from bluemetalaxe and sakajati. Special thanks to both of them for their skins.
I only have a Kaiser, so not too sure if it will work for other phones. Do let me know if it works for other phones. Note that the new skins is only for portrait, not landscape. For landscape, it is the default from HTC. Hopefully, I can get some skins for landscape to add into the cabs.

Steps to make it work:
1. SR your device.
2. Use a registry editor to delete the following registry. Note that some of the registry keys cannot be deleted the first time round, so after you have finished the list, do a SR and repeat the deleting of registry keys.
3. Do another SR and install the smartdial cab. Next install the 3G dialer cab.
4. Copy the white background video buttons from this link (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3486541&postcount=36) to \Windows. (New screen capture had been added).
5. SR and you should have a working 3G dialer.

I didn't have 3g connection right now, so I don't know it's work or not.
I didn't edit any registry because it's say cannot access.
so, I try to install smartdialer first and then 3G dialer.
It's have a some error on installing 3G dialer. It's say you have to remove SmartDialer version first.
I accept and again error tell me that cannot remove SmartDialer version.
Anyway, after that error it can continue install 3G dialer and finish. SR again.
Now, It's work fine and look nice.

it ALMOST works perfectly on my polaris. has a few tiny visual bugs.. including one with which i can't see the smart dialing numbers. but everything works.. in general.

great dialer! works perfect on my hermes with WM6.1 V24 from Dvha79_ddt! i had only to install the two cab, no problems for now, i can do videocall and using smart dialing.... i'm glad to have found your dialer, is one of the best i've ever seen on my device thanks again!

I tryed it but video call dont work on my Trinity with French Rom (Netdrg 3.5L)
Apprearence is OK except in the "menu" which shows some trouble. I think it's due to smartdialling.dll.0409.mui and phcanrc.dll.0409.mui that are in english (0409) and not in French (040C).
Any Idea ?

Sorry, not too sure but if you think it is due to the two files, and if you have the right French files, pm me and let me know. I can change the two files for you and make a new cab.

i did install your dialer in my rom - no troubles .. but now everytime i switch it on, the dialer starts itself. if i switch the phone on from standby and also when i do a softreset
any ideas? i didn't cook it in yet, but i will do so tomorrow or so..

Did you follow the steps I mentioned to delete those registries in between SR?
I've not experienced what you had mentioned. Tried on many Kaiser roms and works all the time without the problems you highlighted.

yes i did ... i actually did remove the entries from my rgus from rom kitchen and did then cook it in, but still the same issue
i guess it has something to do with that reg-key HKLM\SOFTWARE\HTC\PHONE\NikeOptionOnOff .. i did set this to 0 and the phone did actually not dial after softreset - but still "auto-dial" when switching on from standby
I installed Smartdial and 3G dialer and everything works perfect without any problems.
The only thing that changed and didn't wanted it to, is that the icons on the taskbar have changed, even the battery icon.

Hi, I've created this dialer, it is tested on HTC Wizard, but it should work on other devices too. It includes my edited greenbatteryfix6 ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=267321&page=5&highlight=greenbatteryfix6 ) too... Just unzip and install attached cab file...
New version: some bugs fixed, removed greenbatteryfix, so it should work on all devices now...

Thanks for the dialer skin!! Mucho appreciated. I like the fact that it picks up my finger taps much better than the stock skin, and the whole design is very cool looking.
The only thing I noticed that was missing is the headset or 'handsfree' icon that showed up in the stock skin if your headset was connected. Is it possible to add that?

What you could do is search for the xPad Reflex Dialer it looks great! To bad it doesn't work on WM5.0.

I can create a version without this fix, but this fix isn't here only for changing batteryicon, but it is for changing images in call history, instead of the blue pictures, there are grey vista icons...

I've made it by editing files from the rom and changing some values in registry. These files are not being written by me....
After installing molski rom update my dailer screen does not work properly at all. Cant see who im calling or how long i have been talking to them. Alot of my options are spoted and hard to see. Alot of them are missing. How do i go about correcting this?

Indeed, that's the solution. But I'm wondering what causes this behaviour...normally, the Molski-Roms don't cause this kind of problems.
You should try install another dialer skin. I remember read about this problem of Molski recent ROM

Having recently installed XBmod Manila Rhodium VGA Port (here) i was annoyed that my comm manager skin was still the stock O2 blue skin
I search for ages to try and find someone how had made a black one, the closest i came was this which isnt black and this which had render issues and had the white left buttons, so it might not be perfect but i made one.
If anyone has any suggestions or the original Manila Rhodium VGA background on its own please send it and your suggestions over and i will see what i can do.
Also ive design this so it will just replace your existing skin and not change the existing options on your comm manager page like add the 3g button if you dont already have it.
PS ignore the background looking so crap in the screen shot, this is largely because of soti pocket controllers preview mode being a lower colour base.

Issue: after installing this onto my device the background of the Comm Manager is still white, along with white font color and dark icons as in your screenshot.

As far as i can see from looking at other skin cabs the background files are always called P_BG.png and L_BG.png and are not set by a reg key and called by comm manger program directly.

"CommManagerUIStyle" was set to 4 instead of 2 as in your provided fix.reg. I'm waiting for my device to startup as I type.
Btw, can you recommend a good register editor for VGA devices? Used PHM, but wasn't able to import your reg file.
EDIT: yepp, by changing that value from 4 to 2 I'm able to view the black background. Thank you =)!

No worries umm personally i use soti pocket controller however i think the reg files for that and phm are incompatible, oh well ive included the fix into the cab file and re-uploaded to the first thread

Sure if you can find me any other comm manager cab thats wvga i will strip it apart and rebuild it to support the Rhodium skin, i looked and havnt found one yet.
Alternativly if you can extract me the following files from your windows folder:
Function_Bluetooth.png
L_BG.png
P_BG.png
and give me a registry export of :
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\CommManager
and all sub keys zip/rar them and send them over, i can then rebuild back into a cab, i need the registry key as ive not got a blackstone and need to double check the reg values

My phone : Raphael unbranded Netherlands
ROM: ROMeOS 1.90.1
Radio 1.12.25.19
Only thing that I could imagine is my other commanager from nadavi that adds the 3 g is corrupted with this version.

I would make sure your comm manager isnt running in memory when you install, ive actually made the pack so it has a 3g and ir option if you have already modded to get 3g or ir to appear on the comm manager.
However if you want to uninstall nadavi version, ive made a 3g version especially for you see the main thread for download.
I'm sorry, but I can't seem to actually use my Comm-Manager since I installed yours. The style is awesome for sure, but it's not very usable at the moment:
Clicking on an item highlights the current item, but does nothing; no toggling of Bluetooth or WiFi...
Clicking on the ON/OFF button for a function doesn't function either... same as above
In Rhodium Manila when I press the title for WiFi or Bluetooth the device vibrates and I'm taken to scanning mode (scan for AP's or BT devices)... this functionality is also gone.
EDIT: and I can't seem to uninstall it either. Typical

udK's ROM (see sign)... Yeah, must be XBmod's Manila... can't seem to uninstall any other app I've installed either. Damn, but oh well =)
So you're using XBmod's Manila and are able to use all the functionality within the CommManger? I suppose the regkeys are within the CAB file? Otherwise, is the values in fix.reg those you're using?

Yeah its working fine on my rom and the cab now includes whats in fix.reg which basically sets the comm manager mode to the right them to use a background wallpaper.
If you try and re-install over the top, it will say you have to remove before it can reinstall, allow i to remove, then cancel the new installation. soft reset and your old comm manager skin is back.
if you can then give me an export of :
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\CommManager
i can look into it and see what the problem is, potentially i can rebuild you your own cab if theres something particular with your rom.

New Developments
I think your getting the green bars more than once is because your rom must use more than one colour for transparency on my dev phone only #000000 (true black) is used for transpency, so the comm manager is slightly off black to work around this, work fine on mine and for others aparently. So i can only assume the people having problems with their roms is due to the above.. not sure how to fix it but will look into it.

Well after the black calculator ive started and nearly completed a black dialer skin to match the calculator... ive got a small bug on landscape but might post it later this week if i cant figure out how to get around it.

In landscape mode some buttons got little graphic issues, but don't use lanscape my self..
Download cab and transfer to your device, run and softreset.

No, it's made for the original wm dialer in wm6.1.
I have not tested on 6.5 but WH33LSONFIRE did, so it seems to work on both..

I am a new Touch HD owner. The original ROM is good enough for me, but...
I bought this PDA because I'm driving often, so I am using navigation too. Of course in landscape mode. When I become a phone call, it would be great this in landscape mode too.
First I tried with enabling the landscape mode in the registry, then switching it into landscape manually. But then I became a phonecall after this procedure, it was again in portait mode.
I tried it solving with any gsensor apps, but without any success...
Then I searched and reed and reed and reed...
Then I found that the Rhodium is a "landscapable" Blackstone pda. So I searched and I found any Rhodium dialer cabs. I installed they, but finally the dialer was always the standard windows dialer. It looked like so, as the registry settings by HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Phone\Skin\Enabled = 0 but it isn't!!!
It was always 1!!!
Of course I installed always first the sdkcerts.cab.
So, what's wrong, why cannot I installing a rhodium dialer on my stock ROM?
Or, is it possible installing it? Then how?

First I tried with enabling the landscape mode in the registry, then switching it into landscape manually. But then I became a phonecall after this procedure, it was again in portait mode.
I tried it solving with any gsensor apps, but without any success...
Then I searched and reed and reed and reed...
Then I found that the Rhodium is a "landscapable" Blackstone pda. So I searched and I found any Rhodium dialer cabs. I installed they, but finally the dialer was always the standard windows dialer. It looked like so, as the registry settings by HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Phone\Skin\Enabled = 0 but it isn't!!!
It was always 1!!!
Of course I installed always first the sdkcerts.cab.
So, what's wrong, why cannot I installing a rhodium dialer on my stock ROM?
Or, is it possible installing it? Then how?

i hav an touch hd and i use the blk dialer by rhodium it was a cab file and u just install it

Hm, are you using a stock or a cooked ROM?
I tried to install the black rhodium dialer cab too, from here by the second optional download: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=521815
But the result is the attached first pic. As you see it is the windows standard dialer. The second is what should I see...
Same in my side. Just installed that cab and also get the Microsoft standard dialer... and some tasskbar icon changed.
Do you know another landscape enabled dialer, please?
yes, i tried 2-3 different cabs. all of them from rhodium, but always the same results...

did you solved this issue? I have the same results as you had....
Unfortunatelly no!
I think we must searching a cooked ROM wich has an integrated Rhodium dialer.
