hi can anyone pls help, when I select any of the vibrate options on my incoming call alerts the unit completely powers down when I receive an incoming call, is there any way to stop this as I work on building sites and miss a lot of calls due to this. also is there any way to make tha alphabet bar at the top of the contacts page bigger as the scroll function sucks! thanks in advance.
Besides cutting off sound after a while it indeed also powers down
regulary (and sometimes it even makes a fresh restart by itself).
This is so strange, I like the architecture and the technology,
but I think I will give away this phone and buy myself something else.
Even if its software related this is all a pain in the neck,
there must be something better on the market.
Sometimes my phone turns on, displays call ID, and even rings via bluetooth, but it won't make an audible ring. I know that all volume settings are correct because afterwards my missed call sound plays.
Any ideas what is going on or how to fix it?
Hi, I get this too occasionally - all of a sudden I will get a voicemail message and the phone did not ring. then a few mins later I may get another call and it rings as normal...
I am running ringo, so if you are as well that might be the problem.
when i get an incoming call it takes a long time for it to come up..
the screen will come on ..and it will say call status on the left bottom corner..but wehen i click on call status nothing happens..i have to wait for the actual incoming call notification to pop up...
the person on the other end said it rang about 5 times..before it ever even rang once on my end...
does any1 know the problem..is anyone else having this problem..is there a fix?

I had a similar problem, 4 or 5 rings before my own phone (XV6700 Verizon) would ring. I uninstalled and reinstalled a dialer (Mogul Big Button from ppcgeeks) and it now answers after 1.5 - 2 rings. You might try re-installing your dialer or installing another one.
I have observed one thing..whenever there is a short missed call and my phone is in locked state..it wakes up in 3-4 sec..if this call happens to be a missed call (only 1-2 rings heard on the caller's end), my phone doesnt recognize that number (even if it is present in my contacts) neither it shows which number i missed...so frustrating..any body else experienced this?
any workaround? i tried many registry tweaks posted on internet, nothing helped..hard reset my phone..but problem still there..
Same problem here, I suppose it's a bug on Phone part of the ROM, maybe it will be fixed in future versions. I try all the CPU performances and the problem persist.
It takes a little bit of time before the caller ID number comes through and get matched to your contact list. Depending on how many contacts you have on your list, it may also take a bit longer to find a match in a long list. So if your caller calls and ends call shortly, then the match may not be completed. It's not a bug.
But when my screen is on..i dont see this issue at all, i have checked many times giving as short call as i could..
i issue comes when the device is locked..so i think while waking the device up it takes long and there somehow it doesnt activate the callerid service, so the unknonw caller issue occurs..
When your screen is locked, your phone is in sleep mode. So it takes longer time to wake up first, then receive the call.
Hello all,
i have what appears to be a weird bug when I receive a phone call. The phone rings and pops up with the Incoming call screen with the three options to accept, ignore and ignore with text. When I choose ignore with text, it goes away just fine, but it doesn't seem to disconnect and pops up two more times. On the other end (the caller) it just keeps ringing until the third time (they don't know the difference) and then finally goes to voicemail.
I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this or found a fix for this. Not really a huge deal, seeing i use all of 20 min a month of actual voice, but annoying none the less.
Thanks for any help and insight!
