Just flashed it...it's not bad...few little things I don't like...the clock on the top bar gets cut off by the task manager arrow..."Getting Started" doesn't work..brings up an error...
No little click sound when opening start menu etc...
Will keep it until xplode realeses his latest work!

Is there a version with ramdisk? Any links?
I report tham I'm havin issues** in Wifi that were solved with ROM WM6.1 CE OS 5.2.19716 (Build 19716.1.1.0 PV DVH) and the WIFI Driver v2.CAB.
Tried to install the WIFI Driver v2.CAB in this rom and it was worse...
Anyone with this issue or do I have any software problem?
** The issues are not to able to connecto to WPA network infrastructure. Detects it, but does not connect... also the GPRS is giving me errors, conencts but doesn't give me internet acess.
I've already tried to clean hive and format storage and no good... again problems with Wifi...
Anybody else with this issue?

first you should update the radio rom, or you will have trouble by flashing a new rom. (watch the wiki)
i would suggest xplodes WM 6.1, because it´s verry stable and clean.

my point of view :
i have tryed alot roms so ill tell few words for best of them ...
pdaviet roms...they are fast, stabile, got nice enhansments like bether sound some nice programs( low support on this site and for their site i cant understand nothing on their lang) but so far they are nice for me...
and i have also tryed xplodes roms too they are stabile, fast and clean too (got bether support on this site) and i think ppl should chose what they want into their roms, its small sume of speed if u ask me...roms are near with speed and its little hard to chose which 1 is bether and faster...my great respect for xplode and dvha ...

Why do people bother whether it is genuine or fake? If the fake does exactly what the genuine ones do, then the question is moot. I think what we should really ask is what improvements over previous builds. If there are no changes/improvements, then it boils down to an academic exercise.

I think it is a fair question . Although, it means more for the developer, cause then they would want to know what has been changed from prev build, and go on from there.
For me however, as user, I dont really give a ****... I am using this rom, reason being, this is the latest rom posted by DVHA, and I have used his rom a few times (all were and is v good ). So it is a trusted source.
I also noticed that .net 3.5 here is built into the rom, so I can safe some precious rom space - all the other roms have .net 2.nand i think it is v fast, plus it has included in goodies like gsfinder, flightmode, task manager, PHM registry, and other useful stuff.
Safe some installation time for me .
Anyway, try it, and if you like it then use it. If you dont, then change back.

And I agree with IMatrix, that for eg, if the real build for a rom is, say 1.23... and someone change and make improvement, they shouldnt have changed the build number to 1.3 or something like that....
But then again, maybe this is a genuine built that was shipped to asian countries only (or maybe not .. to be honest, I dont know myself, and cant be bothered finding out, ahahhaha).
As I said, if you try and like it, then use it. If not, then change back. I am just grateful that there are still developers out there care enuf still making improvements to our beloved old BA .

the 16MB_RAM version has ramdisk. Apparently it is slower than the version without it. I myself never had the need for ramdisk. For full ramdisk explanation, please search yourself . Maybe wiki.. i forgot...

WiFi WPA does not work on this ROM for me (do not connect)... Tested on D-Link DI-624 router. WEP works ok. On xplode's ROM all work ok.
Anyone have this issue?

Thanks! I installed the rom and it isn't bad. So far (after a full day of use ), I have not had the need to SR. I am not a big fan of iContacts, I like PocketCM a lot more and I wish there was some way to remove it, but since it is built into the rom I doubt that it can be done... aw well, it is a good rom nevertheless...
WPA2 Issue
Indeed this ROM still doesn't support the WPA2 connection, no matter which router you use...
I've got 3 different patches which ussualy resolve the WPA2 issue on WM6.1 ROM's but none of those work on PDAViet's latest roms, I've tested on all of them, all the 701's and even on the 401's...
A pity, because they all look and feel nice besides this... So I'll stick with the XPlode ROM as well...
Although I would like one where the iPhone 'look' is kinda integrated so I don't have to spend 10mb's of cab's to have it look kinda nice...

I have 2 questions :
Is this ROM "ROM WM6.1 CE OS 5.2.19965 (Build 19965.1.2.3 PV DVH) - V12" newer than "ROM WM6.1 CE OS 5.2.20226 (Build 20226.1.3.0 PV DVH)" ? I looked at the screenshot from pdaviet website and I think so but the build number confuse me.
Have I only to put the Cabs directory at the root of the Storage card or have I other things to do to make extrom cabs installed with the hard reset ?

make folder named "extrom" then put it those cab, you can add/remove software as u wish with editing file cfg.txt
