Emulate mouse Touchpad using the Touch Sensitive area under screen - Possible? - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV Themes and Apps

Any developers or Moderator Developers have any idea of whether this is being developed?
Just thought it would be very useful for controlling the Mouse in RDP on Diamond and Touch Pro Devices!
It would basically function in the same way as a Laptop TrackPad!!
Any takers!
Off Topic!

Am still totally blown away by the Guy at MicroPC Talk that modded his Sony UX from a core 2 solo 1500 to a CORE2DUO!!!!!!!! (u7600)
Wish I had the balls to try something like that on mine!

I've been looking for this too. I used to have this app for my palm years ago but cant find anything like it anywhere these days :s

I use to have it in my samsung i780 (blackjack II). Is near recent so maybe it's possible to extract the driver. This function is controled with the optical black square pad in top of the keyb.

I don't have it now because I changed it for the Diamond, but maybe you can find some one who have it and gives you the diver for investigation.
Hope was usefull.

alberto

it would be nice if somebody who ows theo 700w get the necessery files for rest of us
Treo700w users come on!
I guess not many Treo700 users will be reading this forum.
However, if you find this Today plug-in, let us know: I'd love to try it.
yes! it sounds like a great idea.. even for people developing soft for pocket PC devices..
I've been googleling for this kind of plugin as a part of a software to buy/download, but nothing similar..

Though if you start using the 0 - 9 buttons you can dial the number that way from the Today screen, if that's any help.
Though also, with that AND the Contacts software/hardware key, I don't honestly see what the point of such an app is?!?
Cheers

Maybe for those few who uses the phone in portait mode..
But again, that would require them to open a SIP.
Would be easier to just press green button and dial..
I dunno..
And also, contactbreeze, from SBSH, properly configured, is very simmilar and more simply for searchs.
Have Fun
but noone have buyed Treo700w? possible?
That'd be ace if there were a version for the Exec.
SPB Diary has a contacts plugin that does almost that. You'll get a contact list wich you can dial from.

Bigger Keys for Dialer

Hello does anyone know how to make the keys on the dialer bigge or get a diffrent dialer with bigger keys ?
search the forum for some skins
Hi can I see a screen shot please ?

The skin is great, but smart dialing doesn't work..
Any thoughts?
Thanks
Henry
Yeah thanks for the skin the keys are huge which is great, but smartdiling doesnt work which is a trade off....... I guess you cant have everything
The reason SmartDialer doesn't work is because this is not just a skin. It is a replacement dialer program. You can't just use larger images for buttons and get bigger buttons, you need a program which looks at larger portions of the touch screen as buttons.
SmartDialer also replaces the dialing program (a dll in your windows directory). SInce you can't have two dialing programs working at once you have to choose between the bigger buttons or SmartDialer.
Personally I use MS Voice Command so much that I never had a need for SmartDialer (or larger buttons for that matter) but I do much prefer the look of this dialer.
I would like something like this.
I wish I knew how to whip up CE apps...
That is an awesome idea, W00T.
I can't do it, plus I think there needs to be a backspace and um a little more room @ the top for call info but great idea.
Later; Lew

I want it to look just like the WM5 phone pad skin...just black.
Try this, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=295951 WM6 but it might give you an idea.

I used to like the Jim98y dialer also except that it scrunches the numbers when inputing and my users (and myself) noticed that it wouldn't show DTMF (such as dialing an extension).
I switched back to the PaulyA skins at http://www.paulya.com/dialerskins.htm
I personally like the Grey in the Black Glass with out smartdialer series. (I dispise the WM6 smartdialer so I use the Grey with the old smartskey.ini so I can get to my Contacts, history and Speed Dial with the D-Pad, but that's me)
thanks guys! Ya I found paulya website yesterday. they are very very nice phone pad skins. I'm using the vista black one. I'd still like to find a black version of the WM5 default one. call me stupid lol. i just want to see how it looks in my skin. i think the vista one looks too good to go with my skin.
I think you will like this.
Jimm98y_vista_dialer.CAB for wm5

HTC Shadow Neo interface

After checking out the HTC Shadow it looks like the Neo interface is portable to other devices.

1) VOX
2) More interested in the Homescreen. I've seen the touch interface used on non touch devices so why not just the opposite (It's a plug-in dlls, xmls, graphics, etc.).
Think outside the VOX! Couldn't resist!
let's wait for the WM6 upgrade.
I tried to use Imgfs tools to dump this and I couldn't... any pointers here?
I have dumped the rom now I'm trying to separate the apps
any luck with the extraction?
Any luck with this?
We waiting!
We waiting, my friend
Any screenshots of the interface?

I have a friend with the shadow, i love the interface, will be nice if we can port it to touchscreen devices,
i dont know much of how the whole stuff works so i cant really contribute in any other way but in inspiration
Is mismatch with Excalibur (HTC S620) with WM 6.1 ?

Noob Ozone Question

I'm looking for an app launcher to put on my home screen, and I was wondering if anyone could weigh in on what the favorite/best one is? Also, if there's a good one I was hoping someone might be able to enlighten me on where/how to get it....
Thanks In Advance,

Celetask seems to be a good program. Search the forums for a d/l link.
There seem to be 2 potential issues with this program. First it seems to be a task manager as opposed to a home screen launcher panel, and second, version 2.0 says compatible with WM5 but I'm running WM 6.5 so I don't know whether it would still work or not... Is there something I'm missing?

If you have Windows Mobile 6.5 then the obvious choice is to create your own custom panel with the apps you would like to be able to launch from your home screen. Search this forum for CHome Configure. For example:
