An appeal to all the senior members of this forum :(

Hello Everybody,
As we all know that GENE (P3400 and P3400i) are the cheapest Windows mobile phones available in the market and most of the people, who wanted to try this wonderful platform for so many years but didn't have the budget to buy the devices, have finally got their chance to try it. And one of the most luring upgrade for these phones is the Windows Mobile 6.1 ROMs, which are said to be faster and a little more feature rich than the Windows Mobile 6, which ships by default on the newer GENE devices, the Post March 2008 P3400 and P3400i phones.
Now all the ROMS that are currently on this forum, do not apply to these phones due to changes in the SPL and other parts of ROM. The version no of SPL, ONBL and OS for these apps varies between 1.10.0000 to 1.17.0000.
I can understand that it must be tough to crack these roms, but you are the heros who have done it in the past, and the reason for not being a single rom available for these phones is not this, according to what i feel. It may be ignorance, lack of time etc.
So on behalf of all the owners of these device, i brought up this appeal to all you that please take out some of your precious time and please try building a solid solution to this problem. Please try to port at least one Windows mobile 6.1 ROM (possibly with Manila 2D of Opal ) for these devices. I am sure many of us will feel greatful of you all.

Great News Guys! Ankit360 has found the ultimate working solution for upgrading newer P3400i phones to Windows Mobile 6.1.
Please find the method here:

It will first make your mobile dead and then recover using the Orekflov's Unbricker and then you'll be able to flash it to the rom of your choice.
Currently, only one rom is available for the P3400i, that is LomLom's Fusion 9. Find a link to it on the same URL.

Its very odd that there are hardly any cooked ROMs available in this forum! I joined xda vox forum and there are atleast 10 developers (No GREAT PEOPLE) who literally cook ROMs day in and day out. And most of their products are great, actually you will never want to use the Official ROM ever again , be it fh, fireburned or Dr. G (minus the Rose ROM ), sk.
I hope we will soon find some come cooked ROMs in this forum without the useless stuffs of official ROM.

Just bought my first windows mobile, htc touch hd, and I want to flash WM 6.5 on it

Just bought my first windows mobile, htc touch hd, and I want to flash WM 6.5 on it.... I have several questions:
Is it safe to do that? or should I be worried about some complications?
what kind of knowlege I should have to do that? or does it as simple as having a new windows operating system on my laptop?
where can I find a step by step clear, simple english, instructions how to do that?
Is it different from the upcoming official windows mobile 6.5? am I going to be able to download applicatons from the upcoming offical windows mobile marketplace?

hello Ayad! and welcome to the HD forum. flashing is safe as long as you know and follow all the steps to prepare your device for flashing and then flash a ROM of your choice . click the links in my signature to get more info on flashing your HD with a WM 6.5 rom (especially the Dummies guide). next read the first post in the WM 6.5 ROM threads (in the ROM Development forum) to understand what each ROM includes, and finally, scan the recent posts in the ROM threads to get a feel for user experiences. it will take some time on your part, but you will be better prepared to flash your device now and in the future. take your time, be patient and you'll be successful! fyi, you will continue to get advice like mine because your questions have already been asked and answered. good luck and have fun!

I'm new to this and need held about updates

I have a t mobile wing that is running wm 6.0. And i want to download 6.1 or 6.5 but i can not figure how to do this can anybody out there help me ( I wood greatly app it). I was refered to this fourm they said this would help me.

I am using htc universal. I had a lot of similar phones ( allways HTC ! ), but this phone had all before long 5 years!
So, I have bought HTC universal again after so many years.
PROBLEM IS NEXT:
My ROM is very old and it is on Italian language.
Yes I know, probably You all are going to say that there is plenty of toppics on site and to do some research, BUT I DID THAT before opening this topic.
There really is a lot of coocked ROM's, but links are to old and files are not existing anymore... I would like to upgrade my universal on wm 6.5, or 6.1...
Althought, I have found some coocked ROM's on other sites, but allways the same: CONNECTION ERROR, COUNTRY ID ERROR, THIS ROM IS NOT FOR YOUR DEVICE, etc...
Yes, I have tried with ManUpgrade tools, but the resolt is the same.
Also I have made SUPERCID. And I have tried to coock my own ROM, but with no success...
Please HELP ME ! Italian language is going to kill me !!
I know that this problem is old as snow before 2 years, but please, I am passionate user of Universal...

[Q] Update P3650 to W6.5 - Help me

I have a Touch Cruise P3650. I have upgrade from W6.0 to W6.1 downloading the zip from the Windows mobile website. I have seen that my phone can be updated to W6.5. Can anyone show me how to do this in clear and short way because I'm not so familiar with terms and abbreviations used in forum. I'm a junior member of the forum.

Download ur preferred rom in this forum..... the best roms for touch cruise will be Megan rom, Pcarvalho, 3LITE and kostas244.... download any of tat roms and upgrade ur touch cruise...
before upgrading anything in ur w6.5... pls do hard-spl before u upgrade.... hard-spl is needed in order for u to upgrade to 6.5..... hard-spl is also available in this same touch cruise forum...

Check the threads of every ROM and see for yourself
pcarvalho eXtreme is the ROM of my choice and it still has support as he has just released an update for it, but again, it would be best for you to just see what features every ROM has and choose the most suitable one
