SPB Moble Shell 2.1-Meets good design-calling all designers

What the aim of this thread is to possibly develop the diamond theme/Point ui theme into a cool,sleek uncluttered new design.
If You have a good idea for changes and are not able to actually create it, then you could produce an image of your idea and post it on here, then perhaps one of us could then create it.
Probably the end result maybe something completely different to what We started with.
So calling all designers and creatives - Post your ideas and hopefully the skinners amongst us will be able to make your ideas into themes.

Gsmart variations
Gsmart burnt orange added - possibly more user friendly
Gsmart darker burnt orange - is alot easier on the eye than the other.

A request from Nightcookie was to remove the button labels on the launch screen. Thanks to Agamemmnons help, Here it is.
Just unzip the file and overwrite the original spb file.
This with work with all My 'Our Theme' and 'gsmart' themes. Download Here​ ​

Our Theme and variations
This is a new theme made from the best bits of Diamond 1.2 & Gsmart with a few tweaks of My own. I think we have created a really sleek, simple & usable design.
1.All fonts changes to Candara
2.The highlight button along the bottom run of buttons removed - You should know where You are without the button having to tell You! This also minimises the clutter on the theme.
3.The greyish coloured background is removes from behind the date etc - I think its just not necessary and again helps remove clutter.
4. Currently only supporting QVGA Portrait, although it does work on landscape - just looks abit crap.
'Our Theme' version 1.01
Fixed the contact page. The icons are now the same as gsmart ones.

Image is abit decieving as the theme itself is a bit bluer on the Phone.

Two more variations on the 'Our Theme' skin. All I have done is changed the clocks. Again QVGA Portrait support only.​ ​

As you might have noticed I changed the font on the diamond 1.2 themes. For the people who like this font change, I have done the same for my gsmart themes - see photo.
This is only for My gsmart themes GSmarted pointui red, GSmart burnt orange, GSmart dark burnt orange & GSmarted mellow blue
In the file:-
qa_layouts.dat - just use this to overwrite the original file in spb ms
Fonts - copy them to windows/fonts
soft reset.

I also included the new Big Samurai weather icons with fixing text issues and it also has 3 contact pages.

these are beautiful. thank you for your awesome work. i was wondering if you could make and additional version with the HTC Diamond's default background. also, you should contact chriscsh about his weather graphics, because it looks like he either ported them over from the diamond, or made very good replicas.

I presume you already have spb mobile shell 2.1
1. put fonts into windows/fonts
2. using total commander copy the dat files into your spb ms folder overwritting the originals.
3. soft reset
done.

you need a screencapture program of sorts. spb has a freeware one that is simple to use.. And its free.

Please use the above thread when dealing with bugs or problemas, this is just a skinning thread.
The below skins are in ZIP, CAB or M2DCT format, if its a ZIP just copy its contents to the Windows folder, CABs are simply installed and M2DCT need Manilla 2D Customizer by mpenguin14 , its a theme manager with preview and much more!
Some of these skins were made for previous versions of M2D so, for maximum compatibility use the M2DC.
If you want to go back to the original theme, there is a original blue default skin at the end of the 4th post.

To new skinners:
Original blue default skin uploaded by robertus3d | M2DC Theme
Most of these skins were made by just changing the original files to a diferent color and adding a diferent background.
It is fairly easy, but took me a lot longer to understand that some pngs can be transparent, other need masks and others just cant be transparent, take that in mind when creating your own skins. Also, as explained below, some files have special limitations. You can grab the original files below...

Its just the color-modded original files, I didnt changed the sizes, if it ran fine on your VGA it will continue to do so.

I tried it and liked it a lot, but wasnt able to apply the black font, and after a reset it always goes back to the default white font again...

Yeah same thing happened for me. Without a black font it looks terrible.

Awesome i was gonna ask if any one planned on making white and blue theme like the one for throttle.

I've seen some great backgrounds already, here is my contribute.
Just rename to hh_fw_background.png (if its not already) and overwrite this PNG in \Windows and reload the plugin.

they are png images you create and use an app "png to jif" from pointui to change the format.

how do you add a theme to your android phone.. im new to this, can someone help me?

Do you mean that you have android running over you WM or do you have the HTC android phone? b/c if you have the android phone, these themes would not work as far as i know. BUT, if you have a Touch Diamond and are running the android app over top of WM then the themes would only show up on the WM/TFlo3D parts

thanks for hooking up all TF3D stuff to one post.
However, I haven't found the one last thing i'm looking for.
I want to make my windows Taskbars transparent (both top & bottom), and extend background wallpaper under them so as to cover the entire screen area.
I've searched a lot of threads but havn't found any simple way of implementing this.
Hope you can point me in the right direction

go to the following link (post #6) and find NisseDILLIGAF's no curtains. that should work and as for the wallpaper thing, you need one that is 640x480

This is the original one ... Dusk Theme from grzegorz10 and this is what you can downloading here.
Also i have done many changings in the theme, but the most is and will all the time the original one.
This is one part in the cooperation with grzegorz10. That will never be changed because i love
that theme and i can say i am slaved in this stuff
This thread is also started in cooperation with grzegorz10. His black DUSK theme for Evolution up to
version 4.0 is done and actually supported for many windows mobile phones with the default
and some 3rd party ROM's. Many different files are available but not all are working for the Touch Pro 2.
Because that and some new and original (HTC) roms for Sense 2.5 in the last few weeks it's time
to start a new thread specially for the Touch Pro 2..

Here now some shots from my changings...
This all will be possible with different mod's and tweaks. All changings are done in cabs, so you can
uninstall the changings all the time, if you have some problems.

busy with all chaning and the whole is not finiseh yet, but i will give you the chance to use what

Dialer information:
The dialer is ready now and the last i have todo is test it one or two times on my main phone.
Then i will publish the download and some screenshots here. Because the vfhanings in the original
HTC rom there are two dll files noe for the dialer. The phcanImages.dll and the new one, the
phcanImages2.dll. The second one is not supported by default from Dusk Evolution, but now
everyone can use it.

Before you download any file... i can't give support to 3rd party roms because i don't use roms
like that. So if you have problems with Dusk, please un-install the files and use your default theme.
I will help so far as i can and have you ported your phone to dusk with a 3rd party rom, please
post this information and i will add this here in the 1st posting. Before you ask for help, please
write down your phone type, windows build, radio version and the manila version. So please give
me the needed information without any question about that from me. Otherwise there will be
no answer on your question.

More cab files will be posted over the easter weekend. Not all because it is my hobby. But my
greatest hobby are our childs and this will be fun this year with the easter rabbit.

Start Menu Icons
And this is the mod for the Start Menu Icons. Grzegorz10 has done here a very good job. For
the Touch Pro 2 i had some grafic issues, but these are solved with the cab file. I have tested
this on two TP2 phones. The first pictures shows the original tweak for the Dusk theme. The
second one shows the tweak for 4 columns for the start menu icons.

This comes from isangelous thread, he have given the name StartMenuGrid for the cab files.
He has done also a very good job. It was original for the HD2. But it is working very well on
the TP2 with the original HTC Sense 2.5. For this mod i have used the 4 column grid from
this post. With this tweak you can set 3, 4, 5 or 6 columns for the start menu.

The Dialer

And here it is .. the dialer for the original THC Sense 2.5 Rom. This is the version with the two dll files in the windows directory.
It was a very hard work to put all the grafics in the both dll's. Also i had to re-arange the most grafics. The original cab file do
not work on the new and original Touch Pro 2 Roms from HTC. But this is solved now.

Please give me some response after installing this cab file. It is tested (installation and functions) on two TP2's. I hope there
are no more grafic issues, but when you found one, please post it here in the thread. Not so much PM's please. My inbox is full
now and i have to read so many messages.

After the installation you have to soft reset (restart) your phone. Also it is possible that windows gives two messages because
the both new dll's have to be register for the system. You have to answer with yes. Otherwise the dll's are not working and the
dailer will not working anymore. Windows (for which one is that a wonder) reacts sometimes really strange. On my both test
phones only one gives this message. And that was after the second test the same message.

Because two little grafics issues in the 5th screenshot i have updated the dialer cab file. Also the version number is updated.

i am busy but the twins needs also her time to play and stressing me . And yes different fonts are possible. Here (Major_Sarcasm - posting #2) you find for what you are searching for. And please leave there a posting for thank you. It is hard work to solve problems with that. And a notice that you are using dusk .

Is there somewhere that I can download the slider theme? I'm using a custom ROM and that slider is pretty slick!
