I've posted before that my phone is stuck in bootloader.
I've just gotten a miniSD card 2.0gb in size and I was wondering if I could format it and put on the necessary file(s) to fix the bootloader using mtty while the card is in the phone?

I have problem with upgrading windows via SD card. I found out that if I make a test of SD card in Wallaby Bootloader 5.15, everytime I get "TEST ERROR". I tried many times with different cards.
Could you try the test, and let me know if it is "normal", when SD card test fail.
How to do that: powerbuttotn + softreset -> wallaby bootloader -> hit (main) cursor key -> choose SD card TEST.
Maybe this is why I cannot upgrade with SD card. Maybe SD slot is bad....

but it appears to be your device/card, just tried with my O2 XDA, v5.15 bootloader and a 256MB MMC card and the test came up OK... - just to check the blatently obvious but if using an SD card is it unlocked?

i bought a new trascend 4gb sd card for my xda exec. The problem is
-i copy a full season of simpsons(512MB)
-i can see it is copied to the storage card
-after i can only see the folder,but all the episodes are not there,but the memory manager says that 512 mb is used.
tell me what i can do.

i first used the card,then i wanted to format it(with pocket mechanic),after that no device could recognize the sd card(xda exec,laptop,digital cameras),i then inserted it in a sd card reader,i formated it and then it was only 1GB (Fat or fat32)! i dowloaded then "sdfix" from trascend,and then it was 4gb again. mabey this is the problem?

Got a 4gb sd card that got messed up trying to install bttf..
hypothetiically speaking,if i got mango working on another 8gb sd card and stick the 4gb in the phone will it recognise it? For me to activate storage unlock and will this recover my card?

In my experience every time something is wrong with the card, the Mango will not boot beyond 'your card is not recognised' screen. So if you will install Mango with a different card and try to unlock the 4Gb one, you will not be able to. You need a card with original install on it in order to proceed, hence you will be able to unlock only the 8Gb card. I had the original install card gone off, so had it formatted in Nokia, but the phone refused to boot, even after the reset it requested. So my advise would be to format your 4Gb in a Nokia phone. I keep N95 just for that purpose.
I have a samsung 256GB Evo card, and i just installed a new rom this rom: https://forum.xda-developers.com/v20/development/rom-natf-1-00-test-5-debloated-stock-t3509750
So i seen the little sd icon and i tap on it and it said my sd card is corrupted and needs to be formated. so i put into my computer and copied all the data before i wiped. I formated the SD on windows for extfat and put the card into my v20 and boot it up and i got the same error message. so i went ahead and formatted it using the phone. Plugged the card back into my computer and it shows it was formatted in fat32 format. which is strange. anyway i reformatted it again in windows and put the card back in the phone and got the same thing.
Anyone using this card or phone can verify if your v20 formats the card in fat32 format and let me know. if not anyway to fix it?
