rubberized case... - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III Accessories

Whats the difference between the Seidio cases.... and the cheaper multiple colored ebay cases that cost maybe 10$ shipped?
and exactly how rubberized are these?.... same texture as the battery cover?... or is it so grippy that i will have a hard time inserting it in my jeans pocket?
or should i just go for a hard plastic case?... will it be thicker than the rubberized ones?

As Seidio doesn't ship to Switzerland, I bought two of the cheap ones on ebay, and they are OK, fit perfectly, just need to be careful when fixing the upper part around the screen and buttons. The rubberized feel is similar to the battery cover, so probably better and less slippery than the hard plastic, thickness should be similar.

Seidio Innocase vs Generic rubberized plastic case?

Hello to all,
I was wondering if the Seidio Innocase was really any different from those cheapy $6 rubberized plastic cases? I tried one of the cheapy ones on at the mall but it made the phone even bulkier so I decided to skip it, is the innocase really much thinner?
I had the cheap one, and once it failed I decided to stop dicking around - Got the Innocase.
Differences:
-Cheap case is thicker
-Cheap case doesn't hold on as well. After awhile, mine kept sort of falling off
-Innocase has a nice soft felt-lined bottom cover that protects the phone
-The BIGGEST difference... The cheap case touches the screen, and the only way to make it work was to dremel it and modify it so I could actually use the phone

Thin snap-on case?

What is the thinnest snap-on case? I saw a few "hard cover" cases on ebay but I am skeptical if they are junk. I don't wanna spend $30 on a case, but just want something thin that will protect it from scratches and some bumps.
The sticker protectors are ok, but they don't look the best.
I find that the bodyguardz sticker protectors work wornders. Personally I've used it since 2 months after I purchased my fuze and i don't get any scratches at all and they actually get inconspicuous. No one can tell that I have the stickers on it and it feels really good.
I got a great deal on amazon on a clear plastic case, a solid black case and 2 more screen protectors. Came out to around 8 bucks (including shipping). Check out around there and maybe you can find something nice.
got me a pdair aluminium case for the raphael/touch pro, works great!
I'm a truck mechanic, so I can't use anything else!
Regards,
Emile
damn. that aluminum case sounded so cool! Then it turned out to be hinged.
The aluminum case sucks!!! every time you drop the phone it comes flying out of the case. you have to keep bending back the latch for it to stay closed. the screw in clip in the back striped out in a week.
I'm in concrete, so I wouldn't use this if it was FREE!!!

Best Evo Cover

Hey guys I just got the Evo and want to get one of those Skin covers that sticks to the whole phone without having a ton bulk. You guys have any preference on what works well and protects stuff well?
Edit:
Sorry but I see tons of posts on this so I am going to look through those, also see lots of posts about the camera lens cracking, is there a back that will protect my camera when I set it down.

Ringke is a new case... $17 free shipping.
I am currently trying it out.. and I have to say.. it is really great. worth it.
NOT same as the other soft covers that feel like crap and sticky and grab lint from your pockets.
the gray transparent cover does seem a little tight, so go with the other colors.
Seidio Innocase surface. Very little bulk and protects the camera when set down.
Sent from my EVO 3G!
meh, i got a silicone case, a car mount, and a car charger all for less than 16 bucks delivered from amazon.
my case cost somewhere between 1 penny and 3 pennies. it has a good grip to it, protects it from falls, and doesn't add much bulk. i actually like it because it's silicone, rather than plastic, and therefore slippage is minimal. handy if the phone is on a slick surface.
This FTMFW!

It doesnt have the rubbery feeling, so it goes in/out of your pocket like if it didnt have a cover.

that looks pretty good.
I highly recommend the Seidio Innocase II. It's rubberize plastic, thick enough to endure those brutal drops but thin and slick enough to slip into your pocket. Seidio also sells a belt clip that goes with its Innocase II. Highly recommend if you're carrying it with you to work.
As for one of those clear covers, I highly recommend Phantomskinz. I did a ton of research before committing myself to phantomskinz and found out that their protective screens are slightly thicker than most of the competition and they provide you with two sheets -just in case you mess up.
If you're interested in utilizing both (Sedio Innocase doesn't come with sheets), then I'd get the innocase and a front screen cover from phantomskinz. You don't want to buy the whole body cover from phantomskinz because the innocase II has pretty low tolerances when you try putting it on and realize that it wont fit.
I just bought the case mate barely there from newegg for $9.99 plus free shipping. It protects the back and sides but not the top or bottom. This case with my screen protector should hopefullly be enough protection for me without adding too much bulk.

that is crazy!!! big...
like a tank... ugly in my opinion.
great to have, if you think you are going to be in a rough area.. this is great. but not an every day cover.
I hate to add all that heft to my sexy thin device.
As a compliment to a good case, I ordered Stealthguards for all my phones. Work great and the screen protector is smooth.
Also....they are free. Just pay the $2.?? for s/h. Pretty darn good deal if you ask me. And, I took the cutout for the camera and put it over the lens so it doesn't ever get scratched.

I'm a minimalist, so I went with the smallest possible case: Case Mate's Barely There
This is a very high quality case. Truly a skin tight fit. I've dropped the phone a few times and no damage.
Comes with a screen protector I gave to my buddy and he says it's great.
I paid retail (~$25 incl. shipping) but NewEgg has it for $10 shipped: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16875998756
Says OOS til Monday.
i used to think the body glove was the best and it was for the hero but for the evo it sucks. broke on me in 3 weeks time. i got fed up and went to my local mall and bought a matte black standard case and it looks and feels great. only $20 too. seems to even keep the dust out more.

[Q] Cases

Diference between http://cgi.ebay.com/Silicone-skin-c...405332?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item2c5c0531d4
and this http://cgi.ebay.com/TPU-skin-cover-...413375?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item2c5cbc6c3f
Also any opionions on which 1 is better to get?
From what I have seen the TPU case is more 'plasticky' if you know what I mean? It's harder and less stretchy than a traditional silicon case. I just ordered a blue TPU case from your second link. I personnallly don't really like the squishy silicon cases because dirt and pocket fluff and crap gets under them easily and can scratch your device worse than if it was naked. The TPU should be a tight fit and prevent crap getting in it.
Check this out. Tells you about TPU cases and why they are better than Soft Silicone:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iOYcxdBuu7E&feature=related
I have the first one and it's great. Soft silicone, good & hard stuff.
The case arived today(tpu) almost 3 weeks to reach greece, well its a nice case with the only problem so far that it dont fits well with the oem neoprone pouch(needs some pushing to get it in and some pulling to get it out),but what i noticed visiting sikai's site using google translator is that this case costs 25 yiouan(if i spell it corect) which is 2,5 euros so we pay it 3-4 times the original price in ebay.
Just noticed it slips too.
I ordered the Item number: 270828497862 in ebay
its like your first but more cheaper and includes 6 screen protector
Im waiting to see the quality of that
I believe the TPU has more quality..
I am using this sikai TPU case. It's very very good. Phone looks like without case. It's perfectly fit and have strong protection. They send me with screen protector but i don't used yet, because i have another screen protector.

My thoughts on the otterbox pursuit

Just purchased the Pursuit for the s9+ and I've used it for about a day. I tried both the defender and the pursuit before going with the pursuit.
The reasons on why I chose the pursuit are the size, durabilty and tempered glass fitment.
The pursuit is slightly thinner thickness wise and width wise but slightly taller height wise. Thickness we're talking a couple(2-3) millimeters. Width wise it was much more noticeable because I had an easier time holding the phone with one hand.
I've used the defender series before for my s4, s5 and s7 edge. The defender comes in 3 separate pieces(excluding holster) and the pursuit is 2 pieces but no holster. The two pieces for the pursuit are a back piece with the 4 walls and a thin plastic "outer" piece that holds the phone around the outer edges to the bottom piece. The back piece is made of hard plastic on the back with the 4 walls(top bottom sides) made of hard rubber. The rubber is the slippery kind of rubber and the plastic is extra slippery.
The defender is slightly different. It has 2 inner plastic pieces that secure the phone and a thick rubber outer shell that goes around the plastic shell. The defenders I've used for previous galaxies the rubber would always start loosening up after you put on/remove the case several times. You won't have that issue with the pursuit.
Both cases have similar coverage over the edges so size wise any glass screen protector that fits either one should fit the other. But I feel the pursuit will be able to fit larger glass screen protectors by tucking them under the plastic outer cover. The defender has small latches on the the plastic inner shell that needs to be latched.
I'll be buying a glass screen protector this week for my s9+ this week so I'll know for sure if it fits on the pursuit.
I'll upload pics of the pursuit when I get home.
You can Google galaxy s9 pursuit and there should be a 1 min video from otterbox themselves to get the jist of the case.
The defender is $60 and the pursuit is $80.

I just upgraded from the Galaxy S6 Active to the S9+. I found your post right after I received my new phone and have been waiting for your update. I'm trying to decide on a screen protector that is compatible with the pursuit. I'm very particular on screen protectors and don't want to waste money on one I'm not happy with.
My only concern with the pursuit is the compatibility of screen protectors. Otterbox advertises the alpha glass as it is made to work with their cases and with some research I've done reading in other forums it seems that some screen protectors will break when putting the pursuit case on. I'm not sure if I want the alpha glass because it has been reviewed poorly and there is no mention that alpha glass has an oleophobic coating.
Just curious on what screen protector you go with and how it fits with your pursuit case.
Also thanks for your first post! It helped me decide on getting the pursuit myself. I was worried it wasn't worth the steep price but I'm very happy with it.

I'm waiting for a $20 generic whitestone clone to come in the mail. As of right now I just have a plastic screen protector i bought from Ebay for $10 for a pack of 4.
I was hoping for a full coverage glass screen protector so i can tuck it under the plastic lip since I can fit my finger nail under around the whole phone.
I wish otterbox made the defender with the plastic screen. I took out the plastic screen protector on the s7 edge defender and was able to fit a full coverage glass protector under it without any issue.

I just swapped my defender out for the clear pursuit. Defender was too bulky. It was annoying.
$80 case seems just a bit to steep for me.
Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
I too bought the clear pursuit case.
Pros:
works with Whitestone dome.
The clear back allows your skin to show.
great protection, not too bulky, good grip.
The bottom speaker is directed forward with the built in Port.
The flaps that cover the charging port are not stiff like my past experience with these types of cases.
Cons:
Price, it's too steep imo but it's a quality case.
Tough to put on and take off very often.
neither con or pro:
buttons are stiffer than I like but there won't be any accidental presses.
With this case and the whitestone dome I really feel like I can drop this phone and not worry. Piece of mind is worth the price of the screen protector and case as I don't carry insurance on my phone's.
My 70 year old mom just got this case for her S9+. LOL.
