This link is to a little review I did a few days ago comparing the speed of the m600 to the jamin. The speed improvement with no ext rom is signficant. I believe the big difference seen is the mms....but I'm still not sure. Anyway, by not installing the extended rom....I saved about 4-5mb of ram and lots of rom.....and my device got a loooootttttt faster.
Hope this helps
Note that with kta's help, you can use this little tool to view the ext rom and extract what you want.

A very nice review you did there! Well done
Extended rom
are there any importent stuff there?
like fixes ?
No fixes that I know of....just some settings, some progs and the mms. I haven't figured all of them out....but most.
@kta...thanks

mikewchandler, long time.
Remember me from the days before you bought your eten, when you bought and tried the Magician?
Long time. Yeah, eten filled the gap for well over a year. But, the jamin is a really good device if you can get and keep it running smoothly. In fact, it is working flawlessly for me....the phone, gprs, battery, camera. It all works very well!
Good to hear from you again.
Is there any way to download both videos because I have problems to see them

Well, each one is around 15-20mb. I uploaded them as a stream so that it would be easy to view them without having to download them. What kinds of problems are you having?

If you are asking "is the jamin slower than the jam", then yes it is (with some things).
I have a Atom Exec and upgraded my ROM to 6.1 after I upgraded my unit, I noticed that the contrast becomes a little bit brighter and a wavey light scrolling upward.Has anyone worked out a way to reduce the screen contrast?

Hmm that's odd. coz I had that same problem if ever I use an ATOM EXEC ROM on my ATOM PURE hehehe. If I remove the battery or battery runs out, I will have a wavy screen going up and screen is much brigther.
lets see if other members have inputs/suggestion regarding your concern. for me i'll just redownload the ROM then reflash it quickly just my 2 cents hehehe.

Can anyone recommend a good calculator for the HD? I need one that can do more than just add, subtract, multily and divide. One that can graph equations, do integration, trig functions etc.
Thanks,
Johannes.
Cambridge, UK.
Nice request!
Same needs are present for me! Hope there is a program like this out there.
Thanks

All of the calculator software I have tried does not work at all (Lygea) or has troubles with the display (MxCalc).
Any suggestions?
I like HiCalc. It has everything you could want, and is very user friendly.
I used HiCalc on my older diamond, it is not working on the HD, am I wrong??

This is my beloved calculator. I hope you're wrong here. But I did'nt see that on the wiki but I'll test that the moment my unit arrive.
If you've already got your unit, why not go ahead to test and update the wiki. Cheers.
HiCalc is my favorite one, but it occupies like 1/4 of the screen on my HD, so it's unuseable.

That's a disappointment.
How much problem is this? Does it just leave a blank space at the bottom or does it not run at all?

Did you install the vga or qvga version?
I had one version which worked on my previous VGA device. Guess this means it was a VGA one, although it wasn't the latest.

You're right. In the case of HiCalc they use the same cab both type of devices.
I hope that they come up with a version for HD soon.
I would be happy with a calculator that just fits the whole screen and is not as terribly ugly as the WM one.
Panoramic Calc Pro.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=447195
This one:
http://www.panoramicsoft.com/mobileapps/calcpro/Calcpro.php
is supposed to work fine on the HD. Very similar to HiCalc.
Regards!
I like this even more than HiCalc. It takes so little resources and is really fast too.
You can skin the windows one to fit in on the touch http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=413583
I just installed it and I like it so far. I turned off the touch vibrate for everything except the keyboard for typing.
Now I need a better keyboard? Anyone have one?
http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-touchresponse.html
been using it for a while now.
I really like the touch feedback.
I downloaded it after seeing this post. i have to say i really like this app, does anyone know the impact on battery life?

No it doesn't. I use it. It has no extra impact on battery life.
don't think I noticed anything drastic with the battery either. however, anyone know why I unplug my phone from the charger, and its at like 90 percent?
i use it on my touch pro, and love it the haptic feedback.
been using it a while and i love it and cant wait to see how far the app goes
I have been using it for a while, and I also really like the response!
I love it - it works great on my Ignito

Ah, that's what I was looking for!
I loved the touch feedback on the Samsung's F480 and was a litle disapointed when didn't see this on Diamond.
This Touchpal is a touch feedback drive with a whole new keybord, right?
Nah... want just the feedback.

I checked on the O2 XDA IIS so perhaps it is the software for Motosuft A3100/3000 when installed on other PDA will take a lack of functions

Tested on my TG01 : every 5s or so back to 1st photo and no way to use functions...

This was made only for the moto surf a3000. will work for the a3100 but not fully. so other devices may not work for.

It would be awesome if the feat to get it working on other phones proved possible cause it's def. very nice looking but I dont know if that'll come true
