Wireless/PC connection bar icon - Windows Mobile Development and Hacking General

I know its possible to show the battery and the signal strenth (and carrier name) as seperate icons on the now screen, but is it possible to to just have the connection icon as well? I want to add a seperate icon for wireless connectios/pc connections in the middle of my now screen without having the battery/carrier info there.

Flickering icons

Anyone know if it's normal that some icons on the top bar flicker when they are active. For example Wi-Fi icon as it searches and you see arrows moving around in the icon. At that moment the icon starts flickering.
Any solution for that?
Nobody knows?
I guess it's just normal behaviour for that. It's probably connected to the update interval of the icon. You can see the same in some windows programs which updates icons frequently.

Signal strength icon - changing

Hello!
I am curious if it is possible to change signal strength icon on the task bar in WM6.1. I would like to add that I don't want to simply change the look of the icon, most important for me is to increase the number of indicator's bars to make it more accurate.

How to show ongoing notification without an icon in the status bar?

I've been searching for a way to show an ongoing notification in the notification tray without showing a corresponding icon in the status bar. Anyone know how?
I can make it show an empty icon by using:
Code:
Notification notification = new Notification(-1, text,System.currentTimeMillis());
(-1 as the first parameter), which APPEARS to not show an icon, but in reality it shows a "blank" icon that uses up an icon slot in the status bar. I don't want it to show an icon or use a slot up.
Hopefully someone's figured this out. I've seen other apps do it, but my google-fu is failing horribly.

When QuickSettings does this, it looks to me like it displays a blank icon, and pushes it to the right-most position. Don't know how the code works, but a couple times I've managed to get my phone running slowly enough to see it happen.

Alter my signal bar

Could any show me how to alter the signal bar in the s4? I want the H+ to be above the actual icons not next to it.....is this possible?
