since im sick of MS Vista on the Shift I've installed the ultimate OS Ubuntu but got a problem with the resolution I've tried almost everything but cant get any higher resolution than 800x600.
Anyone managed to configure X to display 1024x768?
If so can u please post your xorg.conf file?

i am using ozvga on ameo and WM6 Remote Desktop. Is there a way to increse the resolution of the terminal server screen. It is set at 640 x 480.

yeah i would really want to know how to do this as well. im guessing theres custom settings for desktop there should be one for windows mobile as well. it aint that hard right ? hehe

I have the HTC SHIFT with Windows Vista installed.
Today i succesfully install Windows XP with all drivers.
Affter rebooting screen resolution is 800x600 (not 800x480) and present screen scrolling.
At the Vista screen is interpolated and present abillity to change resolution to 1024x768 without scrolling.
Question: I someone can help me settingup normal resolution with interpolation enabled.

Answer to your question: Use the correct emulator. WVGA.
You can change the Video Resolution in the Config of the Emulator.
It is also possible to run most .net applications under winxp.
The only thing is that you will have to fix, if you read out the path per code the path in WinXP will have a starting "file:\\" just remove it and resize the form like you want it

MS emulators for WinMo 6.1.4 have a 240x400 and 480x800 devices the difference between WinMo 5 and 6 is trivial. Compile it under the 5.0 SDK and test the exe on the 6.0 emulator, or compile it under the 6.0 SDK and see if it runs on 5.0. (Both methods will probably work.)

on my htc i have sometimes (i think after standby) the problem, when the resolution is 1024x600 i saw only colourful lines(and mouse cousor), when i click back to 800x600 all okay, but the higher resolution dont work before i restart

I've managed to install Windows XP on the HTC Shift, but now that I installed everything, it is all working. Except the VGA driver, this gives me some problems. When the screen resolution is 800 x 480, nothings wrong. When I change it to 1024 x 768, I see a "part" of the screen and need to point the mouse to the bottom to move the whole screen. Is this normal? Cause I don't like this mode. I just want it as in Windows Vista/7. Anybody can help me out?
