Connect Hermes to external LCD - e.g. in car satnav

Can anyone advise if the mini USB out port could be used to connect the Hermes to an external touchscreen LCD monitor, e.g. as included in a built in car satnav system. I have a built in touchscreen satnav in my car (Subaru Legacy) and would love to hook my PDA up to it and use Tom Tom, WM and all my other PDA functions via this large touchscreen whilst on the move. I alraedy have a parrot MK6000 to handle the sound side of things.

hermes dont have usb host

But you will have problem with memory for maps .
I found solutions it's WL-HDD by Asus
It's easy to connect storage on WiFi Hard Disk. Working perfect BTW.

Benefits:

- Uses the external car antenna
- Info and Service buttons available & working
- Easy to fit and use
- Easy to use the built-in nav
Option things you could do (but I didn't)
- Connect headset audio to stereo Aux-In and use HTC Tytn II as MP3 player through car stereo
- Or fit an external speaker with built-in amp to get louder nav voice (I might do this)

Your adaptation looks great. Could you post a few details as to Bury model number (the US seems to carry blackberry styles only), where you found antenna lead and any tricks you encountered.

Is it possible to use our favorite td2 as an external usb speaker for my office PC ?
Cause... I can't put some speakers here ..

a) I doubt it, because to be recognised by windows it would need a new USB profile (USB Audio device, or whatever the exact name is) in addition to the mass storage, activesync and internet sharing profiles it already has. It would also need the hardware to accept a digital audio feed via USB.
b) Would you really want to listen to the weedy, tinny sound of the Topaz speaker for more than a minute or two?

a) perharps... but there is a software to use the td2 as a webcam (with a little soft in the td2 an other in the pc)... then... perharps, lol ...
b) that's true !!! But... what's the badest... a shiny sound or... no sound at all ...
When someone call me at home, and put a vocal message on my answering machine, my phone provider send me a mail, with the message attached... So, if that's possible to use as a speaker, I'd ear my messages ...

[Q] HTC Touch Pro doesn't recognise headphone set

I started having a problem with my phone this morning. I tried connecting my headphone set to it, but it doesn't recognise it anymore. I restarted the phone but to no avail. Anyone know how to solve it? Thank you very much in advance.

I don't really use headphones because I have a BT headset. Is this what you are referring to? If so, can it connect or see anything else? Have you installed anything or changed any settings recently that would cause a malfunction with BT?

No no, I don't mean a BT headset, I mean the actual headphones that came with the phone.

Your TP came with headphones?!? Interesting... Well considering at&t and their reputation, I suppose no headphones is par for the course!
So, no idea as I've never used wired headphones with my TP/at&t Fuze, sorry!

You should have the right connector to your head unit, mostly provided with ISO connectors for Power and speaker.
There you need an adapter from ISO to Quadlock. Search for your car... BTW: for VW you also need a CAN adapter to get clamp 15 and SWC working.
If you don´t have anything... Get in contact with the seller, ask for the right adapter cable or send this thing back.
