is there anything out here that people use for their ps3s?
i imagine with bluetooth and being able to install linux the possibilities are endless and work as a great media player through my phone
I would like to know if there's a program that I can install to make my phone a Controller for my PS3....
the bluetooth that the PS3 uses is propriatary to SONY, it's not the common protocol, so there isn't much hope for other devices to control the PS3 system.

Blueput Droid in the market has some cool features that you can do to your Sony, using your Android. You need to have CM7 though if your phone is not on the list of supported devices.
Also if youre interested, You can pair your DualShock3 Controller with your Android and play games on your phone via local, roms, emulators etc. all over Bluetooth from what I read.. Hope this either helps or motivates you. Remember if you DONT root your phone and explore then exploit all the things that your Android CAN do, then YOU do not OWN your phone. IT owns You!
up for answers.
pls thanks for me.

I was thinking of an easier way to play games on my titan/mogul. So i thought hey, the wii remote uses blue tooth right??
Well, the phone found it, and added it. The first passcode was null. But then it asks for a secure connection from the wiimote to the phone and asks for a passcode, but null and 0000 doesn't work. Any ideas? I doubt it would be that easy to get it to work...
But how about if someone could whip up a program so we can get wiimote functionality onto the ppc platform? Wouldn't that be cool? At least better than using the keyboard for games.
Let me know what you guys think.
Did you try no passkey? Apparently from what I have read the WII does not require a passkey, to get it working in Windows you just click skip pairing, not sure if that is an option on WM5 or 6. It should be identified as an HID and I am not sure if you need drivers or not, from what I read it will work in Windows as a mouse or as a controller with drivers that others have made. Hope that helps.
Good idea!!
I'll try to see if I can't get this to work when I get home tonight.
yep i did!
From the phone, i started searching for a new device
on the wii controller, i pressed the sync button
the phone finds the "Nintendo RVL-CNT-01 "
I select it to add as a wireless input device and it asks for a passcode, i leave it blank and hit ok
The phone then says nintendo rvl-cnt-01 is trying to connect, allow? and i click yes and it asks for a passcode
And that's as far as i can get. I am wondering if the drivers on PCs are to connect it, or allow to function as whatever. I am guessing whatever because bt should connect regardless of driver support, no?
Anyhow, let me know what else you guys think we can do.
thanks for your input

thanks for the links guys, but i guess i won't be able to get it to work. Has any one else tried doing this?
I found this after looking some more, but nothing that helps me out. Give it a look over.

This thread has the announcement of the project. It is real, but it apparently wont surface until June.
*Edit* Whoa, apparently that post was last year. So......Maybe it IS dead lol.
Another post about it:

After looking at the project page, I saw this post:

The developer has released it to the public so the source is all there. I would mess around with it if I had more experience. I'm very interested in this though. All I want is to be able to use my wiimote to play ppc games/emulators. I don't need motion controls. Just button mapping and that's it. There's gotta be somebody out there that can figure this out.
anyone have any news on this front?
So any update on this? I tried to get the Wiimote with my laptop, but it still wouldn't work. I'd love to get it on my Tilt.
Wii-Mouse
This dude uses it as a mouse on his laptop so...

@purple8:
There's quite a few out there; also one called XMOTE. Pinged the dev and he informs me that he's working on a update which will also support the Apple iPad - suggest dropping him a note indicating your interest ... might motivate him further.
@mike2nl:
Have you tested this on a Gen1 XBOX with XBMC (ex: XBMC-SVN_2010-08-31_rev30587-T3CH) with a large audio library?
Keep us posted on the developments of this ... awesome find!
Been looking for an XBMC Remote for quite some time which would allow full control of XBMC without having to be in front of a screen. The Web GUI is fine but lacks much functionality - primarily because no one has really put time into improving it.
Cheers,

I think GRemote Pro has XBMC support. The free version might have it too, not sure. It also works with VLC, WMP, WinAmp, Boxee, and more. The GUI has options for gyroscopic mouse control, trackpad control, keyboard control, number-pad control, media remote control, joypad control etc. The Pro version isn't freeware, and the GUI is different, but it's a sweet app. Connects over WiFi or BlueTooth. There's a client that goes on your WM or Android phone, and a server that gets run on your home computer. Hope the info helps.
[Q] keyboard and touchscreen as mouse for remote controlling pc? >not remote desktop<
Hello,
I'm a total noob regarding to software for WM6.5, but i wondered, is there some kind of program that allows me to use my phone's keyboard and touchscreen as keyboard / mouse for my desktop? Would be nice for my plasma tv with desktop connected to it..
Thanks in advance.
Bouke
I use this
I use GRemote. It's a client-server program. One part runs on your PC, the other on your WM or Android phone. I think there's a free and a Pro version, not sure, might just be the paid version (which I have) and it's *AWESOME*, I use it just like you'd mentioned - I have my PC hooked up to my HDTV as a HTPC/media center, and I can use my phone as a trackpad, air/gyro mouse, hardware keyboard, media remote, generic remote, and gyro joystick/racing wheel/etc for gaming. It can connect over WiFi or BT. I don't want to sound like I'm going to marry it or anything but it is a pretty awesome program. The media remote functions work with Winamp, WMP, XBMC, VLC, others.
EDIT: Sorry, got so hot and bothered talking about the program, forgot to mention the website. It's at gbmsoftware dot com.

Is there an app that would allow you to use your preexisting Android smartphone/tablet as a touch screen controller for the M.O.J.O console?
I am looking for something that would allow full pinch/pull/tap/swipe gesture functionality.
During my search I came across a great number of apps that turn your Android/iPhone device into a wireless remote control/mouse to control your TV or computer, but nothing that would allow you to use one Android device's touchscreen to control another Android device (M.O.J.O. in this instance).
Please let me know if you have any leads. :highfive:
interesting, quick search, i found these

I already try this app, but unfortunatly it doesn't work.
I use Droidmote.

The problem is that if you do not stream the picture back to the phone it can be difficult to know where you are placing your finger.
With my mapper you can stream touches or use parts of the of the phone touchscreen as different kinds of controllers that you can stream but, so far, I have not written multitouch to multiouch streaming.
If this is an scenario useful for some people I would add it.

Yes I think there would be a strong demand for this type of function as the number of devices increase per person. Sending the image back to the phone would be difficult and mapping it to known keys seems like the easier solution. If its possible, I would like to try your alpha. :good:
I uploaded a beta of the mapper that supports that.

I will pushing it to production very soon.
I'll try to make a video too to demo networking as well.

This is all on the play store for some days.
Remote connection to Android or PC streaming is available for months. The new thing is the multitouch to multitouch simulation.

Hey
Is controller emulation/spoofing possible with an existing controller ?
IE select a popular controller (ie supported by gameloft, etc) then you map buttons/keys/sticks to it..
Mobile gamedev's don't like doing controller mapping for some reason
Edit: the ctrlr works okay on gameloft games but not 100% same with GTA games
Hey guys,
Have this phone lying around, was thinking of finding a use for it other than a phone? Anyone know if its possible to run linux on it instead of android? Any other interesting projects anyone is aware of?:silly:

Hahaha, a phone is a phone BUT there is a few silly suggestions, one of my friends used his old phone as a kitchen clock, also you might use it as a sim only phone, or you can use it for music only.
