Downgrade to Cingular Rom - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam General

I am reverting everything back to cingular's rom. I have downloaded the rom from HTC's website but i also need to revert the SPL back.
I have read through the forums about other people doing it but i just want to make sure so I dont brick my phone. I am running SPL 2.10 Olipro and IPL 1.04.
The thing I am not sure about is which SPL I need to flash to the phone. I will post a link to the rom that I plan on flashing back just in case that makes a difference. ROM
Please assist even though others have asked the same question. I just want to verify.

I found mrvanx's downgrade guide to go from 2.10 to 1.04 SPL. I flashed the 1.04 SPL with no problems but when i go back to the bootloader screen it still shows 2.10.
How do i go back to 1.04?

SPL and IPL - what are they, how are they changed?

I am trying to get a rom installed that other posters who are having the same problem I am (applications and ring tones not showing up) seem to suggest that the CID is not unlocked. I downgraded my ROM and noticed on start up that the IPL is not at ver 1.01 but the SPL is at 2.26. What do these mean? How are they upgraded? is this relevant to the issue I am having? thanks
can't downgrade from SPL 2.26?
I am now at IPL 2.24, and SPL 2.26 - have I read correctly that i can't go back on the SPL to something previous? someone? Bueller?
Your IPL/SPL has ALWAYS to be the same version. Otherwise you can get problems with your device, it could get highly instable.
You can try to flash my Molski.Biz Rom, then you're IPL and SPL should both be 2.26

Molski
k
that worked fine. I just don't know what i need to do to get RUU_RIsidoro_2.26.10.2_WWE+CF2SP1_G3 rom to work correctly.
Thanks.
Hey Molski (or anybody else who can help )
I checked out your website and it said i should ask questions here
A friend of mine has a Wizzard from Orange NL. His IPL/SPL are 1.3 right now and he want to update his ROM but he said he can't because he needs those to be 2.xxxx. I've only been messing around with my HTC BlueAngel and i've never come across IPL/SPL.
Can somebody explain to me what it is and how you upgrade it, or even if you want to upgrade it. Is this something you have to do before you flash the ROM or do you just need a certain ROM to be able to upgrade from a 1.3 IPL/SPL?!
Thanks for the help and info!

New way I learned to return back to spl

I don't if this is ok, but want to know. I had hspl and I wanted to return back to spl to sell my phone to a friend. but the only rom I could install was the t-mobile uk rom, which wasn't good since none of my services worked. So I installed a 1.66 WWE rom on the hspl and then used hspl2 to return back to 1.66 spl and then did a hard reset. So now my phone has an original htc rom 1.66 WWE and its also running spl. Is this ok to do. Or is it dangerous. Since whenever I installed a rom while in spl it would give be invalid error. Only the t-mobile uk rom would work, but I'm not in uk so this was the only way

original rom problem

hello
i want ask something
my phone had spl - ipl 2.20 (i think)
i used this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=372152 uspl and then hspl 3.10 for unlock my device and i flash it with cooked rom
the problem is that now i want to flash it to original rom 2.20.405.1b but i can't (error in 1%)
can you tell me the solution please
Hi
Basically shipped (original) rom has it's own spl, and HardSpl prevents overwriting spl by any rom, that's why you can't install a shipped rom. Read this thread to find how to remove it http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=445666.
thank you tito
i flash it again with spl 2.20 and it's ok
now i must send it for sim service
You're welcome. Good luck

[Q] Unhackable T-Mobile US HD2's?

A little while back I began read some people were getting stuck on a stock ROM and were unable to downgrade to reinstall HSPL3.
Is this true or have they found a way to downgrade them? Also if there are still HD2's with unhackable spl's or ROM versions which can't be downgraded and flashed with HSPL3, can you please list them here?
Thanks in advanced.

SPL 3.14 is the one you are looking for. However, the issue is fixed by flashing an older official "stock" ROM and then trying HSPL3. I recommend flashing the 2.10 ROM, which is the one our phones "shipped" with before any upgrades.

So if I flash the official 2.10.0 found on "http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=655653", is it the same thing as the 2.10? If I do flash it do I just use the built in RUU update utility?
This will also allow HSPL3 to be installed from I read right?
first go to your bootoader tricolour screen and find your spl version .tmous new 3.14 rom has 2.10 spl, but international 3.14 rom has spl 3.03.............the problems are with 3.03.spl..it is incompatible with hspl...............if you have 2.10 spl, you have no problem putting hspl on your device

If the SPL is not compatible with HSPL3, how would I change it to a compatible one?

You only have to install an "official" stock ROM with a lower SPL of 2.10 or lower. You can then HSPL3 with no issues.

[Q] Need a bit help!!!

im going to send back my hd2 for my screen fix. i have installed back to stock rom with 2.15 radio and uninstalled the HPSL, will that void the warranty? coz i forgot the version of stock radio already. One more thing, if i installed wrong SPL version will it void the warranty as well? thanks for the help......
The best thing to do is find the official ROM for your HD2 and flash it. Seeing as you said you have reverted back to SPL already flashing the official ROM for your HD2 will give you the correct Radio, ROM, and SPL version. Then you know you will have no warranty problems. If you have a T-Mobile HD2 just download the office ial update from T-Mobile.com, you can. type in T-Mobile HTC HD2 update in Google and you will find it. If you have another model HD2 like the EU or any other model besides the T-Mobile HD2 just go to HTC.com and find hour official ROM there, you will have to type in your serial number to find the correct one for your HD2. Look under the battery cor your serial number.
i had downloaded the stock rom from htc website using my serial number. when it comes to HTC logo, it shows that my radio version is 2.15 which is i installed it for android nand. it didn't revert back my radio version. and SPL version will not change unless u change it right? i not quite understand. help please. my stock rom is RUU_Leo_S_HTC_WWE_3.14.405.2_Radio_15.42.50.11U_2.15.50.14_LEO_S_Ship. Thanks for reply.

The Stock ROM flashes the correct radio SPL version, and removes the custom HSPL.
That rom comes with 2.15 radio which is why you think it didn't change. If that rom flashed and works, your rom and radio are fine. To check spl, look in bootloader. If it says anything other than 3.03.0000 then use hspl4 to set 3.03.0000
Currently i am using SPL 1.42 HSPL to intall my stock rom. I forgot which SPL version is my original SPL, i mean SPL 1.42 or SPL 1.66. How do i know which one is the stock SPL?
Spl is specific to the rom. 3.14 roms require spl 3.03.0000 which is why you should use hspl4 to set it. (NOT 3.03.hspl)
If you had flashed that rom from SD it would have set spl 3.03.0000 at the same time, but you used USB, so next step is manually set matching spl.
ok.. i understand now. thanks for everything..
