HOw to lock My Storage Card ?? - Wing, P4350 General

I have a T-mobile Wing and i have a MicroSD 1GB i want to lock it so anybody cant see what do i have in the Micro Sd how do i do that???? is there a software, an aplication???? please helpppppp

you can hardware lock it so that it can't be modified by switching up the little switch on the side of the card.
while i'm sure there is a software way to hide your card, the simplest solution is simply to take it out.

can you... answer this?

why sometimes when i made a new document in pocket word or notes, its not always appear suddenly?
sometimes i got to open another folder, then change to the "all folder" again to make the new doc appear?
or i got to close the app totally and reopen it again to make it appear? :x
I had that problem after I installed Calligrapher on my SD CARD.
if you have that uninstall it and put it back on main memory.
Short of that you need to rebuild the xda.
Dont forget to sync first.
i also found ou that we cant do the soft reset with the memory card inside it.
what dya' mean? I always do that. Have done it about a 1000 times and not had a problem with the memory card???!
i only take out my sdcard when i want to use it in my sdcard reader for my pc
otherwise it leave it in there and i softreset all the time
I think he's just playing mindgames!
well, thats what i found out with kingston 512 mb.
when you softreset with the card inside, you cant save the pocketword.
I would bet that there are few (if any) others who have this experience. I read and write to my SanDisk 1GB SD card, as well as the 512MB and 256MB cards I use for music, movies, etc. and the 128MB I use for backups, and SoftReset from time to time and have NEVER experienced the problems you relate and there is ALWAYS a card in the slot.
I would suspect your SD card (it is an SD card - not a MM card, right?) or the SDIO slot in your device. This is not normal!
maybe it's a kingston thing
tell me is the rw lock yellow ? some guy were talking about cards with yellow rw locks often had issues
another thing are the word files on the sd card or ?
yes it yellow, what i found is dont soft reset with that card inside, it will mess all of your system. otherwise it work great.
I totally agree with mindgames: when u soft reset with sd card inserted, u r looking for troubles
File explorer for example won't function properly and will freeze everytime u try to copy/paste/cut or delete.

X01HT 2gb MicroSD Problem

Hi all,
I just got recently a 2gb microSD from Sandisk and conected in my X01HT(HTC TyTN), it doesn´t reconize the card and the card get very, very hot
anyone could help me with that?
Thanks
Assuming there's nothing wrong with the card, you might have put the card in wrong, or the card might not be aligned properly when placed into the slot. Try these:
1) make sure the contacts side is facing up when you put in the card (slot facing you, pda screen facing up)
2) as you insert the card (slowly), try to align it more to the bottom left of the slot. If it's inserted correctly, you should feel some springing pushing the card out as you insert it.
3) If the card is inserted correctly, it should bounce back out if you push it in a little.
hopefully that helps, but if all else fails, take the card back to the store.

mini SD card not recognised and tired of WM crashes

Hello All,
My Vario is behaving weird. The mini SD card is not being recognised at all. I have tried:
Soft reset- nothing
Making a 20KB backup on the inserted card: works
Checking if anything else is on the card: no, card only lists the small backup file
thousends and thousands of times: inserting and removing the ^%%*&^$&^%#&-card- nothing
Hard reset (I saw no other solution)- to my horror: nothing (sys info states: no card is inserted)
After the hard reset, my options are very limited. I do not have a card reader to get to my backup file....
Anyone here has an idea on how to get my card being recognised again?
Anyone else also very tired of this WM **** crashing all the time or is it just me? (and my usage?
had the same problem on my hermes guys from a different forum gave me a solution is not the best but it works for me cut a little corner of a business card and insert it under your sd card to make a tighter fit and keep it making contact if everything was erased of your sd card you might have to reformat and reload your data this is a pretty common issue i guess i had to get a new sd card because the last one says I have a 4GB file in it but its only a 2 GB sd card crazy ****.
holy mozes!

SD Card - Random Power Ons

Hi,
Has anyone had this issue? When I have my Toshiba Mini SD card inserted in the phone, my phone will randomly power on when I don't want it too, like late at night, or in my pocket. After some troubleshooting, I have narrowed it down to the SD card because when I touch the card the phone turns on, and if the card isn't inserted, I don't have problems. Basically, it is as if the card is getting inserted while it's in my pocket or sitting on my night stand. I think an easy fix is to make Windows Mobile not turn the device on when a card is inserted.
Does anyone know of a registry tweak to disable power on when an SD card is inserted? Or a setting hiding somewhere in all the configuration options? It is getting very annoying, I have resorted to just leaving the SD card out now, and it's 4 GB of storage I'm loosing out on!
Any assistance would be appreciated

black screen problem in 2.2

Hello friends,
I have been facing black screen problem everytime in 2.2. İt always happern when I watch video or picture from sd card. Whwn I set the phone to sleep and open it, always black screen comes, something writes and phone closes.
I am using standart sd card and it is 2gb.
Can you help me about this problem?
hey, same problem, also using standard 2gb sd card.
try it for a day without your sd card in, worked for me, but i need sd card for music, pics everything so im going back to 2.1 til this is sorted,
greast rom, but need my phone working 24/7 and dont need to check it constantly to see if its hanged or frozen or the usual line of code,
but still great rom
I think it occurs from sd card, it happens whwnever I reach to sd card. I wonder why everybody does not live the same problem?
will it be useful if I format the sd card or get a better(class 6) sd card?
i think there has to be a common factor between it, obviously isnt software because there would be more ppl with errors and such.
ok my sd card were/are used in the following devices :-
xbox 360 as portable device to play mp3's through a cheapo usb card reader
win7 lappy through phone usb
similar stuff or ?
if ur still on 2.2 have you tried turning off debug mode when your using phone normally, might have an effect?
and does it also constantly remount when you unlock your phone?
sorry for the lots of questions but im interested now, this is the only thing stopping me from keeping 2.2, had 2.1 back all day and no issues, happy phone again
ı changed sd card and formatted but again crashes when phone unlocked.
any help please?
the black screen is known as screen of death (sod), try changing the kernel verson, or the radio, it is not a sd problem, i have done it and it is working fine on mine
