Hi, i am creating simple app which can tweak 614c without other tools (regedit....). I am flashing my phone 3x 4x in one week and that after flash is simple and easy for use If any1 have some new hints (problem with solution) which can I add to app, please write here. Primary for use with Yevg001 Win Mobile 6.1 roms, others install latest net framework.
ToDo: make CPL panel style and add more features
Use: simple extract to your device (i am using place on card, after flash, app still here) and run exe
Changelog v3: added HR & SR support, fixed threaded SMS on/off, now in .NET 2.0
Warning:In ver3 is maybe new bug with threaded SMS, pls backup your SMS before making any changes and report any bugs. Thanks

Please delete this post... thx
thats pretty cool!
trying out now.
Seems to need a .Net framework i got 3.5 from here
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...49-3C6B-42F1-9FD9-0041345B3385&displaylang=en
seems like a huge install 33MB!?
weird, its 33mb file to download but only 6.5mb to instal on PPC.
you might want o add a confirmation display after you make a change, sumthing like " Changes made, press restart to enable the changes" etc
tried the disable option but it would still try to connect to the net, anyway to stop it completely from try to connect. I only connect to the net via wifi.
The threaded sms didnt do anything, whats support to happen?
btw tested on a ipaq 612c (asiapacific version)
i am making to new version with NF2 for better compatibility and no other installs... option GPRS off/on is for turn off/on button in bubble updatet ver. availaible today night (fixed thread sms and NF2)
/edit: check first post new NET 2.0 ver. with fixed sms threading (please test)
a freeware called NoData it will disable the data connection it will be grate to have it on your app
http://www.modaco.com/content/pocket-pc-software/246171/new-free-utility/
also grate app that is only a user interface for reg is gb-soft tweak
with this app you can set the gprs to disconnecte after 30 sec ... if you use pie or set it to 0 sec if you only use pull mail
http://www.pocketpcfreewares.com/en/index.php?soft=1123
there is wm5 VER also
one more thing is refering the temp pie ,downloaded file .... to the card using your app
anyway good luck I will send you some more .....
Whats the difference between HW reset and SW reset? is HW a clean boot ie wipes everything from memory? if so i would not like that to be an option.

Hi there,
i need some help with the topic mentioned above. I read a lot through this forum and the Internet but couldnt get any clue how to achieve it. I actually want to use MSN and ICQ via ActiveSync/BT
I have a German O² XDA mini with R1.12.00, G1337.42, D1.12.01GER (is there a way to update the ROM? This german document on the xda developer ftp isnt available). I am running XP Home with SP2 and use a MSI BT Stick.
It seems that the key uses tis BlueSolei Software from ITV from this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=18537
but i cant manage to get ActiveSnyc running... my XDA and Windows are pairing but i cant sync...
I am also too noobish to configure my COM Ports in the Pocket PC. They are always blank, so i cant choose any ports?!
When i sync with the ppc sync tool it says:
Connection cant be established. Check dfü & proxy settings and. Then Try again...
Thanks in Advance...
smurf
same Problem.
Can anyone help please ?
ok, i solved my problem. Dont know exactly how but i can post what i did...
First i deleted all COM ports in the Device Manager of windows (except COM1&2). I deinstalled my BT Stick and restarted Windows.
i then installed the bt stick again and then installed and deinstalled this bluesolei software for ppc about 10 times :evil:
after that everthing worked fine. AS over BT, MSN, ICQ, PAN and so on...
....
I tried to Install the PPC software on the magician but it installs only on the pc and not on the PPC,
where did you download the software for PPC ?
Theres an excellent guide for this over at Modaco in the smartphone forums somwehere.
The method is exactly the same, i did it on my MDA and it worked flawlessly! Just follow the procedure to the letter... even including restarts!
The thing is when I try to install the software on my ppc it's not really installed.
when the installation process is over it pops up the AS add/remove winow saying that the app would be downloaded next time I connect it (when it's connected already), so I disconnect and reconnect it

reply yes and then it just closes without installing anything on the PPC..
Finally got this this going !
Guys, you don't actually need the bluesoil stack to have messaging and internet over bluetooth. I have a guide here that will tell you everything you need to know about setting up active sync over bluetooth (which let's you access the net) including how to remove hidden com ports on your PC if your port number for active sync is above 9.

Can you please add the functionality of being able to specify a directory and install all of the CABs contained within it?
Code:
public void ProcessCABsDir(string sourcedir)
{
// Install CAB's
try
{
DirectoryInfo dir = new DirectoryInfo(sourcedir);
foreach (FileInfo files in dir.GetFiles("*.CAB"))
{
Process inst = Process.Start(sourcedir + "\\" + files.Name, "");
inst.WaitForExit();
}
}
catch
{
MessageBox.Show(
"Some files were not installed",
"Error:",
MessageBoxButtons.OK,
MessageBoxIcon.Exclamation,
MessageBoxDefaultButton.Button1
);
}
//End of CAB's
}
You could then place this in the ExtROM and get to execute on hardreset.
Happy to work with you on this one.
That is an excellent idea and I'm certainly planning to implement that in the near future!

Sorry, you're gonna have to provide a link, this noob can't find anything in the wiki about a 802.11g router anything for the Hermes, there is ONE link to wifi from the hermes wiki and it talks about what it is... Nothing more.
In the meantime, release HTCustom 1.1...
Code:
New: Now contains mass cab installer (select the folder and let it run)
End of call beep edit...
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
updated...
Good work
Now how about making it part of the ExtROM of a ROM the the app get launched follwoing a hardreset?
The same idea as the autorun.exe HTC provide in all operator devices?
May I know whether this application requires .Net CF 2 to run? Don't wish to install it on my precious main memory..
It does...

I could, but don't most users like to customize when they are ready? Maybe just a popup that explains how it works so they know and can launch it when ready?
Good Works
Why not to integrate into this tweaker, the possibility of closing definitively the programs with the touch OK? It allows among others to use a TyTN with only touches and keyboard. Today, the touch OK reduces them
At the moment I found only another tweaker which makes it (PQzII), but that would be practical to use only one

This is a fix for people who are running WM 6.5 and are having the problem stated below.
Your WIFI automaticly turns off when u put your device into standby and wont reconnect instantly after you have turned it back on. you have to go to comm manager and manually turn it on and off.
this will fix that so when u turn on your device again, it will connect to your network automaticly without you doing anything
First step. Use a mobile registry software and go to the following
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\Parms
2) create a string Value "EnableAutoConnect" (without the " )and set it to 1
3) set "allow suspend" from 1 to 0
4) restart your phone and now you should not have anymore problems with the wifi.
Hope this helps all of you and also let me know if you are having any problems
Value Type
Hey
I am not well read on reg editing and i was wondering, while creating the new value what do i set the "value type" drop down menu to.
Cheers mate
the value type should be string
Also i would recommend you to use the mobile registry editor because all you need to do is to have your phone synchronized and edit it from your pc.
Hope this answered your Q's. if you have anymore questions let me know

- fill in '1' as value
- press ok and get error 'acces denied'. Active sync is working

.NET3.5
It's what i am finding. I will try. Thank you, shayan
I didn't have this problem. i really don't know what to do. i checked it again and worked fine. it could be the rom you are using.
It doesn't work for me either, same message.
Windows Mobile 6.5 stock rom in English from HTC website.

Dear shayan.k,
I did as you explained but it didnt work and i still have this problem.
Can you plz help ...
Just an FYI..
I'm using a Tilt 2. In fact, I'm configuring about 30 of them. And maybe 1/4 of them had this problem. It seems to be completely random. I havne't figured out how to fix it. All my phones seem to be exactly the same. I did have some different hardware revisions, but they didn't line up with the problem. I contacted HTC, they said they don't support registry changes.
WTF?
this isnt working for me...although im not sure im creating the string properly...
NOT
"DWORD" ? right? a string? and then just pop a 1 in there?
could u maybe make a screenshot of your 2 strings? so i know what it should look like?
sorry to all the people here.i have been really busy and haven't been checking my posts. this is for WM 6.5 with sense 2.1 that wont connect automatically. now that we have Wm 6.5 with sense 2.5. this hack is no longer needed.
+ Aman's sense 2.5 is faster than 99% of all the other Roms out there, especially the prime 3. if u can i would recommend u to try that if u have Hspl installed.
Sorry for this
Greetings.
I having a issue with connection setting page in start menu\setting\connections\connections
its appears everything white.
doesnt appear link to add new connection or edit my current conections
i wish for someone can help me, please.

i had a problem like this, probably not related but ill explain anyway now that ive mentioned it
*linking a .lnk directly to the "advanced" tab caused me to have issues like the one your having = unable to make/edit a connection.
*for some reason it needs to load the connection in "tasks" before showing it in "advanced" so linking me .lnk to the "tasks" tab fixed my issue.
however, i suggest you run the htc connection setup, or ConnectionSetupAuto.exe.
this will add a new connection and youl be able to see/edit the connection settings

Hardly, I suppose. The menu interface should be visible without any connection setup. Example - stock rom for any non-htc device.
My old Asus has no first boot setup or whatever like my Leo but Connection menu interface is available for manual setup.
It looks like either OP has problems with mui, or some "interface tweaks" had ruined the menu....
Suggestions:
1. Check mui
2. Do not cook in your custom tsk and all graphic custom **** and try to make close to stock rom.
Greetings. Well my connection was added but i wasnt see it
I find the solution, the problem was in the .rgu in ExtendedPkg from oem directory was changed by mistake. im using osbuilder. im just dump again my stock rom and change it, Now work fine.
Thanks all
