After a trial of Spb Mobile Shell and subsequent removal, my registry tweaks of Today softkeys are now frozen and not editable using SoftkeyAppletEx or a registry editor. It seems that the Shell leaves behind a blocker for softkey editing which was needed for its operation. Is there anyway to find and remove the registry lock without a hard reset??
I want to change the tab program on spb mobile shell ,but how???
why not try and search?

I could be wrong here, but as I understand things SPB is a shell that sits on top of WM and takes over many of the normal functions of the O/S. You would either use the native O/S for most of the device functionality and just have SPB in a limited form on the WM Today screen or, use SPB to provide most of the menu-type functionality in its own shell...which doesn't feature a Start button.
In other words, you can have WM with the Start button or SPB without the start button, but not both.

Perhaps I explaned in a wrong way myself.
What I need is just to have a button in spb layout ( with every kind of icon .. I used the windows flag..., able to launch a program, in the detail "quickmenu"
How could I do it ? This is the great problem

you could create a shortcut linking to: "\program files\Spb Mobile Shell\MenuLauncher.exe" -cmd:"\SOFTWARE\Spb Software House 2\Spb Mobile Shell\Menu\Root\Programs"
(you can create a specific shortcut very easily with Total Commander)
Once you have this shortcut you can launch it to get the programs from start menu in the spb mobile shell interface. If you now integrate this link/button in your spb mobile shell theme, you will have access to all you programs.
It's not really what you requested, but it's a workaround...
good luck

Ok so im a somewhat experienced user. So i just got Spb Mobile 3 installed and my dad was fooling around and added 9 tabs which is 6 extra ones i think so is there a way tl remove the extra 6 in the reg. editor? Thanx Alot
As long as you have a Registry Editor, like Resco or another. Go to HKey Local Machine
Then Software
Then SPB Software House 2
SPB Mobile Shell
Widgets
Home Screen
Arrown down to Page Count and click to open
Change DWORD Data to whatever number you want and that's it
Exit
