Help please

Hi,
This is my first PDA so apologies if these questions seem to be a bit "noobish".
I just had had enough dragging a laptop & mobile through airport security time after time.So my girlfriend talked me into my first PDA O2 exec & i'm very impressed.The wi-fi is great!!
Anyway my question:I tried to d/load a tcpmp player but the links just aren't connecting.I did d/load the 0.71v but it got an error reading (program is not a valid pcc application).
Am i doing something wrong?I'm just looking for a decent player to play from youtube etc.Also i've d/loaded about 8 games & only one worked. Generally the same error message appears.

IMO, you are executing the setup application meant for the PC. Run that setup from PC with your device connected via Activesync and then the application will be installed on your device.
In other words, if the extention of the setup is exe, then, 'most' probably, it has to be executed on your desktop PC. If its a cab file, then, put it on your PPC and then execute it on PPC itself

Have a broken screen need PC program...

I have a broken screen, and I need a PC program to view the screen on my PC via Active sync. I know that it exists, but I can't find it.

Extend desktop to PPC

Is there a free bit of software that will allow me to use the ppc as an extended desktop.
I have played with side window, but would rather not pay for it as i don't think I will use it enough lol

yes..its a short form for REMOTE DESKTOP SHARING..just as u do in wiindows..btw which device do u have and which OS ?

I am on windows XP with an htc touch running wm6

Not quite what i need, i use that to control my ppc, what I want is to actually use my ppc as a second monitor, but thanks NatroXz

if u have WM6..remote Desktop sharing is already their..just configure it to connect it to ur computer

ok, so that is letting me remote control my pc, how do i get it to act as a monitor instead? thanks so far!!

basically my mouse has died on me and i was wondering wheather there is a app to turn my ppc into a touch pad which would connect via activsync and control my pointer on my desktop pc ?????

Check out http://www.innobec.com/en/products.php for what I am looking for. It is good, but I want to find a free way of doing it, as it is quite handy having somthing like notepad open in the ppc whilst i work in the main screen

thanks for the reply i downloaded to software you recommended but it did not install on my x51v .
i ran the cab file and went through the set up ............it said it is installed but could not find it anywhere on the ppc looked in programs and file explorer ....nothing!
i ve got a axim x51v with a cooked a03 rom

I was just looking for a program like SideWindow for OS X - I can't find anything. Does anyone know of something that will let me use my WM6 device as an external monitor under OS X?

So i´ve tried sidewindow.. @ my ppc (htc p-3401 wm5) and the ppc screen stay a little bit white, it lose the phone signal(what?! conflict ?) and nothing works..
tehre´s any equivalent software? or anyone knows how to fix the problem with sidewindow?

Remote desktop web connection problem

Hi,
I want to make a remote desktop web connection.
When I go to http://www.eapdlaw.com/tsweb/Default.htm with my Ameo, the connect button is not active.
I can connect with no problems using a desktop pc... but when I try it with my Ameo... it's not possible to push the connect-button.
Do I need to install some kind of add-on to make the connect-button active???

why would you bother with that anyway when your phone has a much better (and probably quicker) built in app for doing it !!
unsuprisingly called REMOTE DESKTOP
if for some reason it is not in your program files here it is to install !
stick the cab file on your phone and run it, to install

App on PC to navigate in PPC?

Basically, I have the white screen (I'm guessing the connector to the lcd is loose. I'm trying to see if I can save any information I need (I had some in the documents, before i hard reset it). I heard someone talking about this before, that they saw one before that they could dial and do everything through the computer. Was trying to see if I'm remembering this correctly or just imagining it. Thanks for the help .

Basically, it displays what you would have seen on phone's screen on your computer, and allows you to use PC mouse/keyboard to control the ppc, so it should work for you. Also, fortunately you won't have to install anything on the ppc, which would have been difficult with no LCD
All you need is the activesync connection between pocketPC and desktop PC.

is there an aplication that don't need activesync to do this thing? give a pm
