windows xp does not come with any kind of runtime packages. for the newest ervius kitchen you need .net framework 4.0 (according to the requirements here)
Dude scrap windos XP n get 7 =P
I think it needs .net3.5 and some other shizz
System requrements for OSkitchen
System requirements
Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 runtime
Visual Studio 2003 (7.1) Runtime Libraries,
XmlLite Update Package
i am lost without my kitchen, been going cold turkey without my dose of ORD (not cool! )
im only gona upgrade to 7 so i can play the newer games when they come out (xp wont be supported) but otherwise ill be booting with XP from another partition/hard drive, i think that XP is the best OS
ill download .net 4.0 and the VS
(i have .net 3.5 installed, i thought that was all i needed.... "shizz" )
i had a feeling chef_tony would be the first to post on this
thanks

I just wanted to ask why is it devs have tried getting all the desktop OS to run in qemu but I haven't heard of anyone testing windows xp mobile embedded? Why? I would imagine it would be easier to run as it's the mobile version of XP.
Windows XP Embedded has now morphed into Windows Embedded Standard, but this is only available to run on x86 or x64 platforms.
The version that will run on ARM devices is Windows Embedded Compact 7, which is the continuation of WinMo 6.5
To answer the original question, it ain't gonna work. Not on a phone device, that is.
WM6 is not connecting to Windows 8 Dev Preview, well mine isn't,anyone know the answer.
Dose Windows Mobile Device Center work cos it isn't on mine..??

Hmmm...have you tried downloading Windows Mobile Device Centre?
yes.
First of all it was not working ,just kept coming up with it needed .net framework 3.5 and it installed it and it still kept coming up but now its all working ok...well windows is a preview so it will have problems..
Thanks for the answer..
I had to go back to my old BenQ and Active Center detected and downloaded itself. I'm using the 32bit one however.
I cant find anything for windows 7. Apparently its been discontinued? Activesynce cant be found and WMDC is only good up until vista. What are some suggestions or work arounds?
Ive never flashed or worked on a windows phone before just Android
WMDC works on Windows 7 & Windows 8
It syncs with Windows Mobile
Windows Phone has Zune & by default does not work with WMDC or Activesync.
Also if you are using WP on HD2 some ROMs have Ultrashots WMDC Launcher built in so worth looking at thread below to get more understanding on it ...
