My ROM version is: Version 3.03.651.2 dated June 23, 2008
The new ROM version on HTC site is 3.03.651.4 dated June 30, 2008
Anybody know if there are any differences worth mentioning in this newer version?
A bug fix in TeleNav seems to be the major (minor) difference.
If you don't plan to pay $10/mo for SprintNav, then there isn't much reason to move to .4 particularly if you spent alot of time configuring your .2 setup. OTOH, if you haven't done too much to your .2 setup, might as well move to the "official" official ROM...

hi,
i called T-Mobile yesterday to enquire about them upgrading existing devices to WM6, i was told that if the manufacturer made the updatees available then so would they. i told them HTC were making updates available for their own brand devices so the girl went off to speak to the technical department and came back to tell me that i should keep checking the website as they were expecting some kind of updates to be available in june but couldn't tell me exactly what.
sounds promising...
Lets hope so!
Thats quite wicked.. not sure how the rom are going to compare to the rom's that have been cooked here but they have changed their tune...
They did say that they were not going to update the handsets and that you would have to purchase a different model..
We shall wait and see....
D
Bonus
Great news, then we can get something solid and supported back on our handsets and lets the ROM Chefs take a holiday (though probably a quick one!)
I can say if you are looking for something stable on tmobile UK....Black Dymond with radio 1.40.30.00 is a winner at the moment.
ROCK SOLID, i tested all beta versions (beta, RC1 and RC2) and this ROM has had alot of work put in it.
Moto Q9 with wifi has 6.1 already installed. this this web site for more info....http://www.boygeniusreport.com/2007/12/05/windows-mobile-61-did-you-catch-it/
can we get it or is there any new device with touch screen have 6.1 yet.
I read somewhere else that it was a leaked copy and 6.1 wont be out till first quarter 2008.
i work for at&t and the model we have on display has the 6.1 installed just like the one on this link.....so it is out now. i don't care for the none touch screen but i am interested in the touch screen version.
Its not gonna be officially released January 2008. But when its January 2008 they maybe will delay it. Lets just wait and see.
Looks good, but here are some questions that I have...
-What about the memory leak?
Did MS fix that bug?
-What about our WM2003/WM5/WM6 devices?
Will we be able to upgrade to 6.1 or we will have to buy new devices? (i.e. Eten X550+ instead of X500+ )
-What about memory consumption?
Exciting news indeed, let's wait and see...
Sorry if I'm a tard but Im reading through the forum and see many people talking about GPS problems etc... but no FAQ on how to enable it?
I upgraded to the newest firmware from Sprint and installed some GPS2Day app that I found here, but nothing is working. Do I have to hack the device and install beta roms or is this included in the newest print firmware?
a GPS FAQ would be a really good sticky.
a little thing called searching
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=363431
clearly read everything and you'll have GPS in no time
for those of us not in a big rush for GPS and don't want to mess with hacked ROM's, is Sprint planning to release an "official" ROM update with aGPS support in the future? If so, do we know when?
The last update on the HTC download page from Nov. 29th said a GPS/Rev A ROM will be released early first quarter 2008. The first quarter is almost up and nothing yet. Latest rumor is March 10th.
There will be probably more roms available from HTC
There has been 1.48 few days ago with 1.49 already out and Ithink this will be going on until Version 1.60.xxx
The question might only be, how many Roms will there be between...
Why I think so?
That's simple .... because look at the TExt coming with the Camera Update

Installationsanweisungen:
Note: This update is only applicable to ROM version is equal to 1.60.XXX.X, or lower.
What do you think?
!.6 ROM............
Yeah I reckon they'll some more updates along the way.
Cool observation, but rom naming conventions mean nothing.
It's probably just overhead in case the patch won't get incorporated into roms prior to arbitrary 1.60.
This is all over the forums... 1.60 is in testing....
1.60, huh? still wm6.5?
I Think 1.6 roms are with WM 6.5.3
the 1.6 rom is the same windows version as 1.48... not a lot has changed, yet... this could always change if/ when the official rom is out
Usually I don't like to update because after updating I don't know if I will regret it or not. I think android 12 will be released in January (and I will not install it but I will wait at least 4 or 5 months). Now I have a doubt. I have never downloaded update / patch I received a notification of a bypass on December 1, 2021 (I think it is cumulative of all updates because it is over 1 gb) and I don't know whether to update since I think the next notification will be android 12 so they should all be updated "tested at 100% "or you keep keeping everything blocked (I am also interested in the battery life which I now know to last quite a lot but I don't know how long it will last)
any tips?
Thank's
Helen
