I recently had to do a 'clean boot' on my Atom Life. After doing this, I can't get the internet or mms to work. I used T-Mobile's settings configurator, yet nothing seems to be working. I searched through this forum somewhat, but didn't really find the answer I'm looking for. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated - I would hate to throw my best phone out the window out of sheer frustration!

Hello all,
I am new to the site and recently had my O2 XDA Orbit. While using WIFI, Internet Explorer would move from site to site but quite often when going to some sites, even back to Yahoo or google, IE would say opening then stick on locating and eventually pop up with a message saying 'The page cannot be found.Check the name and try again.'
If anyone can help me reslove this it would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Don Kerleone

Yes I get this on my Hermes too and stopping Wifi and restarting it fixes the problem for a while. It seems like it's a Wifi issue but not sure why or how to fix permanently.
Check you Wifi settings under Power Mode and make sure you have Best Performance selected rather than Best Battery. That fixed mine for a couple of weeks but it seems to have gone bad again.
hi folks i've had my hermes for about a week now and i feel pretty good about it. i've flashed several different roms to it so far (sticking to Schap's for now) but i've noticed recently that when i go to send a file to a friends device or something my hermes wont connect to anything except my headset. i was wondering if this was a rom specific issue or is it my device? can anyone help me out?
My only idea
Just a long shot, but it's something I wouldn't have thought about before I heard it, but have you got "Beam" switched off? It's in Start > Settings > Connection > Beam, or in some Comm Managers. Although it switches on Infra-Red, it also has some effects on what Bluetooth can and can't do. If it's switched off, try switching it on before connecting to your mate's phones.
If this helps, post back so we know. If it doesn't, post back and someone with more idea than me will come along!!
Good luck.
you know what man i actually thought of that not even a minute after posting. well there goes my dumbass moment, at least thats out of the way before the holidays. lol thanks for your reply though
i tried your idea Confused stu but beaming still won't work for me. I think it may be a rom issue. Is there a way to correct this (maybe from in the rom)? i really like Schaps rom but beaming is a must have!
Did as told to do and searched a bit more....
Found the answer here.

Sorry if this post is a question that has been answered, but I searched the forum and could not find.
I am new to the HTC/Windows Mobile world so I am still getting my sea legs. From this forum I found how to setup my gprs connection and got it to work.
But what I want to do is make my phone use wifi when available and then go to gprs when no wifi is available. Is there a way to prioritize my connections like this.
Thanx for any help u can give.
I'd like to know this as well as I haven't found an answer either.
Hi Guys,
I've been having some problems with a very short battery life over the past few weeks. I've disabled HSDPA/HSUPA and am experiencing slightly better performance. While fiddling around with the settings, I noticed the above options, CSD Line type etc...and was wondering what they were all about and if the optimum settings are already set up on the HD2? I'm on an unlimited data plan with T-Mobile UK and I'm assuming that the phone has been set up a specific way by the network and wouldn't want to change anything that might negatively effect what is, so far, an excellent phone but I'm just curious.
It's nothing vital and I won't be fiddling with anything but I have done some research out of and it all seems to be related to data communication/speed. Could any of you guys shed some more light on this as a lot of the stuff I'm reading is a little over my head!! I would be interested to know if there was anything in those settings that I might be unaware of that could make my phone supersonic, hahaha.... Any info on these settings would be appreciated.
Thanks
Shameless bump.
Im terribly sorry if this has been addressed previously....but for the life of me, i couldnt find out why it would reboot on me......this only happends when data is being transfered. Is there a fix? or APN settings that people use to aviod this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
-Chris
Ummm... I don't know about this problem that much, but if you think that it could be an APN setting, try this thread:

You can also try and see if HTC Connection set-up will help from this thread:
