Internet Sharing with Linux - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario General

For the life of me I cant figure this out. I run Windows XP and Ubuntu on my laptop...and I use Internet Sharing using my Wizard under XP all the time....but I cant make it work under Ubuntu! I have read a couple of threads about how to make it work with the Kaiser and such...but for the life of me I cant make it work...so that is my question, does anyone know how to make Internet Sharing work with the Wizard and Ubuntu Linux? Thanks for any help all!

how to use rdp

ive been searching for over 5 hours trying to remote control my desktop from my vogue...
im running vista home basic and htc vogue on wm6.1 with the rdp 6.1 could someone please help me out?
I wonder if it would work with LogMeIn...
try it out, none of my PC are online right now to confirm that it works. Altough, you need to install a local client to your home PC.

EDIT : I ve tried it and it seems to work, i was able to remote on a PC, simply had to isntall a .cab from my IE browser.

I'm not sure if this is the same version, but search for (and install): wm6rdp.cab (sorry, don't have the direct link handy). works great for me on on my Vogue Touch and Windows XP.
Couple of suggestions: Make sure you enable Remote Desktop in Vista. Also, check that port 3389 is open on your broadband router AND firewall in Vista (if firewall is turned on, that is).
Good luck!

Bluetooth and netbook

Hi guys.
Searched all over the internet but havent found any info on this. I would like to use the internet from my touch hd on my netbook, via bluetooth. Is this possible and how can i do it?
netbook is just hardware
and hardware is irrelevant
the question is what operating system
the netbook in question is running
if it's xp then it would do it the same way as any other xp computer
would
if it's linux it would do it like any other linux computer
use search tons of threads about how to do it
and luckily for you it's the same for all ppc devices
so you need not exclude your search to blackstone forum

[q] remote desktop mobile help!!

Ok so i looked everywere and cant find the answer so this is my question ok am running elegancia rom and am trying to use the remote desktop mobile but it wont let me.. I have windows vista home premium and so i read that it wont work but there is a way to by pass it... Can ya let me no how to do that were can i download that. And also i downloaded vnc viewer enterprise i have it install in my computer but how do i install it on my phone... Plz help i tried everything am frustrated now cuz i really trying to make this work...
You're new to this computer stuff aren't you?
Software written for a computer does not work on a phone unless it has been designed to do so specifically.
I believe that there is a setting in Vista Home Premium's registry that fools it into thinking it is a business version. Use Google.
Apparently he's new to english as well
The vnc viewer you need is available at this link: http://www.mobiletopsoft.com/pocket-pc/freeware/download--net-vnc-viewer-v1-0-1-17.html
Seeing as you are very obviously not an IT technician i would not recommend messing with the registry on the PC as you will very likely do something wrong and quite badly damage it.

windows mobile bluetooth pan/sync in ubuntu problem

I am having problems with a few things.
I am new to linux... but to be specific I am using ubuntu 10.10 (maverick) I want to be able to sync data to my phone and vice versa... like send files to and from my phone... i cant seem to do that! also the main problem i have... is i want to tether Internet from my pc to my phone via bluetooth. i have a verizon XV6900 (it does not have wifi) I have done some googling... and that is just making me frustrated as I copy and paste terminal commands, and get errors... or after it does crap... it ended up not making any difference. in windows 7 i used windows mobile device center and bluesoleil 2.6. I am a complete noob when it comes to ubuntu, so please be verry specific and kind. in windows it did take me a while... but i did figure it out! for windows, i finally got it to work through usb... then i messed around more, and got it to work with bluetooth.
just to make it clear. (from reading other forums) i did plenty of googling, and could not find anything that worked.... also, i hope this thread is fine in this section.
I want everybody to know, it was not me that has this thread in the apps and games section. I put it in General, and an admin moved it.
ok moved back to general
