Well Guys, After spending hours and hours reading through threads it seems as though no one has cracked Blackberry on the MINI ?.
I got it all going on my XDA II and it worked great.. i now have the mini, i installed 1.11 rom and got the blackberry cab on it and working fine . That was the first tough part.
I have now hit the wall with the BBConfig 1.2 Xda II for Microsoft Exchange. It allows me to generate the pin then when you try and sync it to the device, tells you it is not Configured correctly. ? SO i guess the Biiiiggg question is,
A:> is there another version of the desktopsoftware for the mini ?
B:> has anyone got BB workin on a mini ?
Anyhelp would be greatly appreciated. If i can help anyone getting the XDA II running i am more than happy ot help...

Shannon - did you ever get this working?
Hello Mate
would u please tell me how did u got the balckberry work on XDAII....please i need to know how to do that
best regards
ya ,, i need to know too ,
Hi there,
I need some urgent advise:
I have an XDA II from O2 and I now can get a new device from O2 as contract upgrade.
The options are XDAIIs or XDAIIi, alternatively I can dump O2 and make a contract with Tmobile for the MDA(compact), this last option is a bit of a pain though, because most people I call have O2 and also my international calls are cheaper with O2.
I don't use XDA very much as you do and hardly mess up with sw or upgrades. I mainly use it to call, take pictures/videos, watch movies, internet and for remembering appointments...
If it is fast enough I'd like to use it (via wi-fi) to surf the net with my laptop(as I don't have a landline), but I don't know if this is possible...
Now, question is: which one do you suggest me to get? I have to get it by the 30th of july...
Thanks guys!
Gio
Well the MDA compact doesn't have wifi so that might help your descision...
and also would depend on if you would use the keyboard on s
personaly i think that GPRS is way too slow for my temperament
if i wanted to surf from a laptop i would get a 3g phone like the htc universal of cause that will not be out by 30th
thanks.
I don't think I'd use the keyboard as it's probably easier to use the on screen one, also the keyboard feels like it's a bit loose and I'm afraid it might open on its own.
Only good thing I see on the IIs is the quadband that the other doesn't have...
hi ther im new to this website as i see its verry verry handy but hoop some one out there can help me i cant make a cal trou my xda 2 what can it be
Have you made calls before? What happens when you make a call? Have you tried calling your phone from another phone to see if it rings?

Have you made sure that your XDA 2 is actually connected to your provider's network? If it's not the XDA 2, test your SIM card in another phone.
Good Luck
need help pleas help
hi i did do all that but no still dont work i try callig from a nother phone but no das not work so stil need help pleas help
It almost sounds like it's your XDA II. If you can't get it to work at all, consider having it looked at if you have it under warranty. You could also try upgrading the ROM or the Radio version to the latest XDA II release. That might fix the problem too.
Have a look in the Himalaya & Andes upgrade forum and in the XDA Developers FTP section under Himalayas & Andes.
Hope this helps.....
Did you buy the phone secondhand? It could be blocked on networks.
Good suggestion, it could also be a blacklisted/blocked IMEI. Not every country has a blacklisting structure in place but the UK definitely has this in place.
Hi sorry for being a dumbass but im no techy guy

Same problem here. I was able to get a pin with version .103 but it would not connect to the network.

As stated in the first post, version .106 of BlackBerry Connect won't work (no PIN). Tried it myself too.
Thanks for the reply though. Hope we'll get a fix for this soon so I can get rid of my TYTN II.
Would love to see BB Connect work on the TP2, as my plan comes w/ BIS, and from what I understand, BB Connect would allow me to use the unlimited BIS internet/email (right?)
ouch....
that will hurt big time... as my htc tytn died completely before i decided to buy the pro 2.
Will no change in the registry or something help, like we used to do in the TyTn?

nope, tried the standard reg hacks
has anyone tried asking customer support at HTC for a temporary solution?
btw, am getting my phone tomorrow - have been tracking DHL...
no but from past experience they are not very helpful and will probably state it isn't supported. All devices seem to go through this then they are magically supported and a version is released. I have been using exchange push emaul option and it works great. the only difference for me is that my company uses 4 character passwords for blackberry and 8 for exchange.
got my htc tp2. installed bbconnect 106 and the device is connected - has a pin. On the flip side, its been some time since i sent my service books, it has none in the list!
after a few hours of waiting and also one soft reset, the connection is established.
The settings page shows - Data Tunnel Available - but it does not go into connected mode.
However the services page does not have anything listed yet.
Any smart brains around?
i contacted HTC support, and this is what they wrote back! ... hmm.... - looong wait....
Thank you for contacting HTC Corporation Middle East Support

Is the Blackberry connect software dependent on HTC or our mobile carrier? (or doesn't it matter).
Would really be handy to get the unlimited BB internet on the TP2.

carrier i believe. I think there is a range of IMEE or something software related that passes through the carrier and if the BB connect software version youa re running doesnt report the right things then it doesnt work. Not sure if I am right or not but i thought that is how i understood it.
hi guys, tp2 just bought and sadly realized that bbconnect doesn't work. any news form your side?
Please dont let this thread to be forgotten. Surely there are capable people at xda-developers who will find a solution for this. It has been solved for the blackstone so I hope the solution for Rhodium is on its way.

the reason it was solved for the Blackstone is because HTC put out a version for it This is standard for new devices. You will just have to wait. I hate it too but is how it is.
why don't we all mass mail them again this weekend... and show there is an urgency to get bbconnect asap...
i feel so disabled for the past 2 weeks...
