Is there a way to disable 'Recent programs' list

In my Settings > Menus tab I have several items which appear twice (i.e. Orange update). While not urgent nor really bothersome, it's annoying. Is there a way to remove items from the list? Just to clarify, this is not about adding/removing items to the Start menu but removing them from the items listed in the Settings > Menus list.
On the same not, some of the items (again i.e. Orange update) can't be removed. Error message "Unable to move this item" when attempting to uncheck the item. Is there a way to nevertheless remove them from the Start menu list?
You can do that by using a file explorer and going to the following directory : Windows\Start Menu\Programs and then just delete the icons you want ^^
Thanks but I guess that would have removed the items from the Programs folder (Start > Programs). But I solved the issue. Strangely enough, I had to delete the shortcuts of the applications (\Windows\Start Menu) which appeared twice in the menu of the Settings list.
Under the task bar I have to menu items Calendar and Contacts (WM5).
Can these be manipulated ?
How can I hide an application name from the "remove program list"?
I have removed the registry entry in HKLM\security\appinstall, but the application name is always showed in the list.
I know that you can change the home softkeys quite easily, but I haven't been able to find how to remap the softkeys for any of the other tabs. When
I installed Resco Contact Manager, it automatically remapped the "All People" softkey, so I know it's possible
So if anyone knows how to change the "All Messages" softkey under the Messaging tab, I would GREATLY appreciate it.
In "Contacts" ( People ) icon, we got five tabs: "Details", "messages", "Email", "Updates and Events", and "Call History". I was wondereing whther there is any way to intergrate Calendar. If yes, that will very useful. Any one can make it? Thanks!
