i´d like to know if there´s a german version available...

i am also interested in upgrading my 64Mb XDA I to 2003 Version.
Nalye: How does the Upgrade worked? Do you have any problem in using or installing? Do you have any problems using the upgraded device with german O2? How about the Home-Zone Display and whole stability?

Thanks for answering. German o2 uses a special application with the XDA, called "Home Zone Status", whats implemented in the original ROM provided by O2. With this application you get a special sign at the top of the screen if your device is in an defined area called HomeZone. The data used by this application must be provided by the gsm-part of the device, but i think, that the T-Mobile-Rom does not support the transfer of this informations because german T-Mobile does not provide this feature.
Does anyone experienced any solution for this problem?

i dn´t know ´bout a special program for displaying the hz-status, but i´m about to call o2 for an application to fix it.
the rom i cooked works well, but as you know every data got lost (about 350 sms or so) :x
try to cook it at www.yorch.net - coz stefan´s kitchen seems to be a lil´bit slow :wink:

I have the Offical O2 (UK) PPC 2003 (4.01.12 ENG) Rom!!!

I have just got my xda back from being fixed by O2 and they seem to have upgraded my rom.
Before I sent the xda to them the rom was simply the latest ppc2002 rom from their website.
However now everything has changed and my rom version is 4.01.12 ENG
This seems to be an official release form O2 as I have their auto configuration and boot screen.
My bootloader has also been upgraded to V5.22.
I have backed up the rom using XDATools and hope to upload it to the site although its approx 31mb.
This seems to be all official and what everyone has been waiting for however if i've completly missed the point please let me know (politely please )
As an added note I have two broken xda's for sale: -
1) A 64mb XDA with the above rom installed. The screen is smashed, and will need replacing, or you could just use the motherboard in another xda. The unit does not charge for some reason, possibly the fuse which is a simple enough fix.
2) A 32mb XDA with the above rom installed. The screen is intact, however will most of the time it will only display lines, you can get a screen sometimes but this is very rare. It must be possible to fix this, but its way beyond me. Again the motherboard has been tested in my other xda.

It HAS wmodem but I connect through Irda (i have no serial on my notebook).
Can someone try and confirm that it works on Irda on Windows XP
Steps for using wmodem:
1. install ircomm2k from http://www.ircomm2k.de/english
2. add a new modem (manual selection Standard 32600 bps) on the new com installed by ircomm2k
3. add to AT commands AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","apn","",0,0
4. create a new DUN with the number at *99#
5. use if there is any username/password
Mine works fine but I cannot connect. It does communicate and ends on "verifying password" step.
Any help ?

THEN .... surprise ... it will install IA Caller ID (customized picture of the calling person)

Normally this should happen Automaticly, since the CallerID.CAB fiel is int eh startup directory....
But it's a nice trick to get it working...

Soory, forgotten to mention, that this ROM is now available in the Kitchen. I also tried to get the Autoconfigration working. Cooking went fine, but i didn't have the possibility to test it.
So fell free and test this ROM with Autoconfiguration......

Hi, i just installed the ROM and now it works perfectly well, caller ID installs automatically at the startup when the welcome screen appear after the upgrade? XDAMAN, what was the problem? i am using DTAC provider (okay, theres no autoconfig so i had to set up everything manually) everything works perfectly well? i feel its a lot more faster than other ROMs i tried (Siemens ROM, T-Mobile, betas, etc) the best ROM i've ever used!thanks again martin

i decide to cook this rom from stefan kitchen ... and it's no have bug anymore ... Great . i garantee it.
but i didn't check battery lifetime .. who can tell me . is 4.01.12 better than other rom .. ?

S100 & KSE TrueFax

I have installed on my S100 ITA Default_KSE_Fax_V2.09.CAB, but when I SReset it, it had serious problem of Today screen refreshing...and I had to Hreset. Any suggestion? Is that the right CAB for my PPC & ROM?

Truefax works fine on my i-mate JAM !! It's on default in my ROM, but is very usefull for me. The only thing you have to remember is that you have to get an mobile fax and data number .... This will be coupled to your SIM card.

Well the problem is that on Italian ROM is not a default application. I tried to install the one dowloaded from XDA-ftp /Magician/Extended-roms/ita ext rom 1.03.04 (to forum ADM: please confirm if this is the right one for my S100 ITA). But when I install it my Today screen has refreshing problem, it looks like when TV has no signal, but just in some areas of S100 display.
Help!

I also got the Default_KSE_Fax_V2.09_unremovable.CAB !! That is the same version that doens't work with your device. I can't tell you if it works with the mentioned italian ROM.
Mind that you have to get a mobile data & faxnumber from your provider. Otherwise truefax doesn't work.
I hope someone can help you out !

...yes I know about faxnumber...but the problem is different...it's a question of SW compatibility.

Downgrade Artemis (P3300 HTC) from WM6 to WM5

Rather strange, yes?
I recently upgraded my HTC P3300 with official WM6 and seems got a problem with GSM1800 network. GSM900 works just fine. the symptoms are: it connects to the network (I able to make a call), in about 10 minutes still shows network coverage, but I am not able to call and no one can call me.
If I restart GSM software (in comm manager) it starts working.
I think it is relative to WM6. Do someone has official WM5 ROM Russian? I would thank you very much!
