T-Mobile Germany released official WM2003 update

Today T-Mobile Germany released their official ROMUpdate to WM2003
It´s the Version 4.01.19.
I didn´t test it myself, but added already to the kitchen.
So guys. Try it out and report me about the new ROM....

The wmodem appication is included.
I cann´t say it exactly, but the help file only talks about serial and infrared, so i think, there is no USB...

WHich Radio Stack version is incorporated?
Still 4.21 or is it a higher one? how can I distinguish this from the RSU upgrade file?

I did:
From there go to your Start folder inside the Windows folder. From there find the link to the RSUpgrade file and delete it. (Don't worry about deleting a file, this is just a link to it and we will re-install a good copy of this file)
Now, restart your PDA. It should return to your normal desktop but with no phone connection as the Radio Stack is not installed. From here, place it back on it's cradle/usb connection.
Just as stated above by Matt, you need a copy of the RSUpgade installation or a ROM upgrade insallation that includes the RSUpgrade. Unpack this, I used Winzip to do this. Find these files:
monitor_ul_bs.m0
monitor_ul_bs.map
RSUpgrade.cp64
RSUPgrade.exe
Now, using Activesync, explore to your Windows folder on your XDA and copy those files from your Computer to there. They must over write all the old files.
Disconnect from your PC and run the RSUPgrade.exe file from file manager. It worked 10 for 10 when I did it this way so it should work for you also.
and ended up with radio stack 3.23.11 Protokoll 32S54
NO idea what it means for me going back from 4.21?

Work's great! And all other cooked app's too.
Only the AutoStart folder is not correct:
-Handsfree(.exe)
-poutlook
-SMSReceiver(.exe)
-Ussd(.exe)
This files (.ece) are now DLL's - I think the are called by a nother app.

whoa! i've tried active sync 4, and it's BUGGY as hell. it keeps coming up with an error about outlook (which i dont even use!) so it only syncs like 3 or 4 things in the whole list.

if nk.nbf is in the folder when upgrading to wm2005 then which is the rom out there in that folder ??? i mean ms_.nbf is suppose to be a rom file right ??? i downloaded wm2005 and it has only upgraded.exe and nk.nbf so where is the rom?

I use outlook 2000 on xp pro sp2 and I've found no issues with activesync 4 at all

You have to remember this is all in the beta stage,
also I am using outlook and it gave me the error at first
but I had to change the default mail client to outlook then the errors went away,
and if you are not syncing to outlook uncheck the box that syncs outlook to your ppc

it works great on my jam plus i noticed a new tab in the bluetooth call COM Ports which i didn't have it in any upgrade before......
bluetooth is stable and i didn't install any patch into.... but my problem with gprs is still there....

Yes it is an official upgrade, one thing i cannot believe is that with version 1.06(Qtek) i could not connect to my bluetooth car kit(nokia) and with version 1.11 i can and works great!!!!!!! What was changed?? I also notice a new Com ports tab in the bluetooth screen too!!!

The new radio works perfectly with my Jam, great job m8 thanks for the link..

Upgraded my Swedish Qtek s100 with this.. no problem at all.

extract the .exe file and u will find the radio and the other files there... delete what u want and keep what u want to upgrade with....
for country error try this file... but first extract the exe file to anywhere you want and replace the attached with the one in the extracted folder......

by the way! is anyone having problem with the callerID application....?! it is not showing in my program list! and not when someone calls!
anyone?

Which called ID application? The Photo Contacts program? It installs with the extended rom and is insalled on my Magician.

yep the photo contacts program..... when i search in the windows folder i find the iacontact.dll and some other dlls that are releated to photo contact program but no exe file......... anyways, i just deleted the dll files and reinstalled the program and now works...

Conver MDA Compact II with WM 5.0 from German to English

I just bought a new MDA Compact II and it has WM 5.0 loaded. I noticed another post that said they didn't knw that the device supported WM5, but it does (maybe only the II version does). Anyway, I am a native English speaker and I would like to convert my device to English (right now it is in German, came that way from T-D1). Does anyone know if anyone has done this sucessfully on this version of the MDA yet? If so where can I get the SW and tutorial?

i didnt upload it but its under the charmer folder so i'd imagine its the right one. The original file is called

is that whats in the zip file?

certainly looks like a rom package. the nk.nbf file - properties of mine are

My Dear i really need it so much......i got a mobile T-Mobile MDA Compact II in german or other unkown language i want to covert it in english plz help me. Here i want to tell you that i downloaded the following:

OK, here goes:
Orange SPV M3100 Hermes/TYTN - unlocked OK,supercid,hard SPL7 all OK
Upgraded to a cooked WM6.1 rom from WM5 OK
Three.co.uk have planet 3 which contains a free windows live messenger option, but only for their locked phones.
On this froum there is a link from earlier this year to a Nokia N95 spoof cab, which i have installed, pointed it at the right planet 3 page, and this appeared OK.
At this point I have a problem.
You are directed to download windows live messenger -this downloads a small file SA_Download.jad which has no application associated with it
3 also now have TYTN II within their range, so i tried without the N95 spoof installed. This failed with a message to the effect of there is no version for your phone. what i could do with i think, though i can't figure out how/where, is idiot guide instructions (or some very nice kind person to create a cab 'cos im a thicko) to spoof the phone as a TYTN II , or some advice as to where I'm going wrong I've looked long and hard already, honest!

A Jad file is merely an info file for a Jar (Java) file that runs with a Midlet Manager. The Jar file must be present, it's the one with the actual application in it. ie all Jads have a Jar associated with them, not all Jar files have a subsidiary Jad file with extra info.
I appreciate this does not really help you get the appropriate Jar file - just info really.

im interested to get this working

there is now a windows live messenger for the hermes just search the threads

my kaiser actually has the Live Messenger in it, but im just trying to access the right app to use the 'free Messenger' on 3.

I too would be interested if anyone has resolved this. 3 offer free Windows Live Messenger but only if you use their client (which handily isnt provided for WM). Using the standard WM Client for WinMo devices incurs a charge.

To be honest I haven't used it for a while, but it did work when I made the comment. I prefer to use my data allowance with the official client. Version 10.7 works just fine, and only uses a tiny amount of data.
