If anyone can make a nice flash today plugin I'd be deeply appreciated.
The FLA sourcecode will be included here in the end, in case anyone wants to make changes.
New Lite Version:
- Seconds on/off (just click on them)
- 12/24 hours format (just click on them)
- Numerical date
- Smoother animation
- Compact size
New ADVANCED Version:
- One settings button only
- Choose between 8 languages* for full date
- Seconds on/off
- 12/24 hours format
- 2 colors to choose from
* See how you can add your own language here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2343649&postcount=25
If you see any bugs with your language please let me know.
To use it:
- Install flash: http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer_pocketpc/downloads/player.html
- Install any today flash plugin, like Animated Today: http://www.gigabytesol.com/anitoday.htm
- Copy this TSK to my documents and select it.
Enjoy
This flash was originaly posted here:

Added the source-code for the LITE version.
---edit---
I'm descontinuing this clock, since its now embebed with the animated weather, in the version 8 and called "Tempus".
Tempo is a portuguese word that describes both the time as the weather.

just tested animated today:
http://www.gigabytesol.com/animated-today.htm
It works as good as POCKET THEME MANAGER, you can have the plugin on top, transparent and it works with a 24 fps version.
thanks man, tried it with that animated today program/plugin and it works fine. i wanna remove the seconds tab though and reproportion the times so it fits better within the white boxes but dont have flash program to do it with
if you remove the seconds tab the animation only happens every minute, so it kind of looses the main atraction there...
I was looking for this clock for some time now.
I have it working without the flash, but as you made it with flash this is really great!
I need some help installing this clock though....
I installed the animated today program, together with flash.
I can get he flash animation working in the flash player, but how can I make it work as a clock??
use the .tsk file I uploaded, the tsk has the swf already embbed into it.
With the pocket theme manager I can get it to work.
Now I have the black clock theme, but I lost the other HTC home buttons :/
Can the clock also be integrated into the HTC home theme?
Because now I lost my new email-sms, ... buttons :/
Could anyone post a cab of the free trial of Animated Today? I don't use ActiveSync, which somehow crashes my touch by not letting it connect to my router (I've already tried four or five times with the same result, need to hard-reset).
BTW, very cool clock!! Nice work!
Well, you cant connect it to htc home, but if someone makes a flash today plugin i can surely do my best to make something very similar...
Sorry i dont have the trial cab, just the "other" one, and this is not that kind of forum...

You made great!!!! Congrats and thank you... it works with animated today (the same version you have )
How it be connected to htc home? I have the same issue as it was mentioned namely that your clock can not be used together with the htc home on the today because of the sizes (and of course double clock is useless) but I also miss the other features of htc home.
One suggestion: I think it could be also useful to reduce the clock size a bit (to 2/3 size of the present) and fill the white flips with the numbers more (now the numbers are 1/2 size of the flips)
Anyway thank you for your great work and keep up improving!!!!
New version:
- With bigger numbers
- Severall color modes to choose from (the new button)
- Seconds on/off (just click on them)
- 12/24 hours format (just click on them)
- 24 frames per second
Enjoy
1st version Teste_Horas, screen its full black. But new version black clock only Sorry for my English
theres a newer version on the post direcly above yours.
I've edited the first post with the new version also...
Hello Twolf.
Nice job. I really like it and i'm using, but i removed the bottom bar (windows mobile 2003 se) and when i try to make a diferent *.tsk, i need to make it in a diferent program such as pocket pc themes toolkit and install on pocket pc with the program pocket theme manager 2...well it's a long story but i need, if you want, the *.swf file to make a diferent theme to me.
Once again...nice job!!!

Hey you : did thou have a shot at WM6.1 tested?. My device Asus P535 WM 6.1
ancola66, I own a WM6.1 and that is my screenshot on the first post.
The only diference now it that I have the clock on top of that resco today skin.
MRFERRARI23, I dont really know how to make a cab file, but all it would do is copy that .TSK file into the MY DOCUMENTS folder... so, is that really necessary?
moshinho, I've updated the original post with a zip with the latest version (just some animation cleaups), the swf and the original FLA, in case any one out there with flash may want to make some changes.
Everyone, still waiting for that flash today plugin...
Thanks Twolf.
But when i insert the *.swf in the theme, the clock turns smaller
I don'd know why.
If i use your black_24c.tsk, the clock it's ok.
Updated the previews on the first post (image and flash).
hi T wolf... your pluggin are great, some input i think you should discard the second and replace it with the alarm symbol throw in messaging email missied call.. ehhhh asking alot...
but anyways goddjob. oh yeah is it possible to link it with the time setting as the htc home clock when you tap it then it will link to the time setting to setup alarm and etc

Hi all,
After flashing a new rom, I got tired of setting up my customized Weather Panel setup (includes a fixed dll so moon phases are accurate through 2008 and the Chameleon-240 QVGA theme), so decided to save off the directory and make my life easier. Thought I'd provide this for those of you that use Weather Panel (The "trial" version never expires, so this is a "free" app). I used to use PocketWeather, but after seeing the Chameleon 240 QVGA skin and the other features of Weather Panel I've switched to it and really like it.
[Edit - 12-Apr-08]Updating this today for anyone that may still find this thread. The WeatherPanel cab you want to install is found here: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.php?p=75926&postcount=2 . This has moon info updated and corrects another connection issue that started a couple of months back. Also as a note, I'm on AT&T and have had issues on WM6.1 roms where the network connection setup script runs. I now do not allow that to setup my connections but instead install the attached connection setup file (again, this is just for AT&T. Other providers may or may not have this issue). Also, I recommend searching for the theme "Phatfinger" by storyr. I'm now using that one over Chameleon.
[Edit - 19-Aug-07]As of a few days ago, WeatherPanel is no longer updating properly due to the authorization code not being available that it looks for. storyr on PPCgeeks.com has posted fixes for this in this thread:
http://www.ppcgeeks.com/weatherpanel-freaks-weatherpanel-authorization-update-t8164.html
You need to either patch your current version, or use the full cab. Patches and the CAB are in the ppcgeeks thread.
Here's the steps:
If you don't have Weather Panel installed, then download and install the WP_Auth_Moon_TRIAL08.CAB (from the thread on ppcgeeks listed above).
Go to Start > Settings > Today > Items and uncheck Weather Panel (since we are overwriting files in its directory, it can't be active)
Unzip the "WP-Chameleon.zip" file (attached to this post) onto your PC. Drop the entire MarsWare folder onto your phones \Program Files folder and tell it to overwrite the files.
Go to Start > Settings > Today > Items and check Weather Panel to activate it. Click on Weather Panel and then click on Options and configure it. Set your theme to Chameleon-240 QVGA. Change the layout to your preference. To learn how to decifier all of them Go to this thread and scroll down about halfway to a post by Storyr where he gives all the info on this Theme.
I recommend you install WP-Pilot (see zip file attached) so you can do "One Handed" control of WeatherPanel. Readme in the zip will explain what to do.
There you have it! You'll have a cool WeatherPanel theme, and correct moon phases after doing this.
What I've done is put the WeatherPanel Cab, WP-Pilot Cab, and the Marsware directory from the zip file all in a folder on my SD card. Then when I flash a new rom, I can do all of this fairly quickly to get WeatherPanel back up and running in just a few minutes.
A big thanks to Storyr at PPCGEEKS for doing this Theme, creating the WP-Pilot plugin, and doing the Moon icon fix (and the much nicer moon icons included).
Here's links to the threads for each of these (my zip file just has all of it all together so you don't have to do each install step, just the one copy of the Marsware folder):

Hi
I really like the look of the weatherpanel. So far I have used pocketweather, but have never been 100% satisfied.
So I followed your instructions and it looks great - but I have a few difficulties with the moonfase, that I can't find the answer too - even when I go back to the original threats.
Either it shows a black moon and 0%, and then if I rotate the different modes, it suddenly have no images, and then says 46031 instead of the 0%. I have tried to change between default icons and the others - with no luck.
I have two Wizards that run WM6. I have tried the installation on both - and it is the same result.
Do you have any clue what is wrong?

No clue. Moon Phase works just fine for me after doing the steps above. What you describe almost sounds like you don't have the fixed DLL. DId you make sure WeatherPanel was unchecked (not active) in Settings > Today before you copied the folder? You can go to the like I provided and do the install of the fixed DLL directly too.
Yes, it was unchecked... but I will try uninstall it, and then installing it again - maybe I have more succes the second time...
Now I got it to work.
In the first place, I had it installed on my Storage Card - but I now reinstalled it on my device momory - and it works.
How is your WP installed? Because I would prefer having it on my SC if possible (which I also thought was an option with this program...?)

NEVER install anything that amounts to a Today plugin on your Storage Card. You will always have issues with Today Plugins on storage card since your storage card isn't available when you boot the phone (and the Today plugins tend to load before the SD card sometimes comes available).
Thanks a lot for this, Mfrazzz, it looks much better than the default available view for WeatherPanel.
Thank you for your help, mfrazzz.
I will keep that in mind about today plugins.

Hey, does anyone have or can help me make a WM7 like theme for Phonealarm?
Here's what I have for rlToday. I used the one that was posted here and did a couple of adjustments. What I really want - and I can't do on rlToday - is to integrate the battery, RAM, storage memory, and SDcard memory gauges into the theme. For now, I have it separate under Resco Today plugin and it looks out of place.

**********************************update *****zip file is included in post number 7 ***********
I have my own version.
It is based on phonealarm mixing lots of things, mostly iwise, rockability & littlerain stuff (thanks to them).
It has a bigger clock, with the alarm icon appearing in the middle
On the right side of the clock I have date, digital clock, operator (I have dual SIM), pa profile, and small weather icons + bt, wifi and data icons.
When you click the clock you toogle the screen brigthness (for outdoor instant usage).
I use MVBklight, which can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=379270
In the normal mode I combine it with todayagenda or spb diary
The skin changes with the profile, so while in the car, the bottom part has also big buttons for the tt7, A2DP bt, the voice recognition, set volume and so on.
You must define the applications in the advance tab in pa.
The list of relationships between icons and apps are:
*Image_AppLink12=quickgps, to update tomtom info ota
*Image_AppLink11=iRadares, great app to download tomtom radars, voices, icons and poi file (spain)
*Image_AppLink13=Voice Commander, the one comming with the cuise as default
*Image_AppLink7=Setvolume0.43: also in this forum: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=395695
*Image_AppLink6=BTAudiotoogle, to send the pda voice to the parrot ck3100
*Image_AppLink2=TomTom, that's clear I think.
*Image_AppLink17=WisBar Advance 3 - [Task Panel]
*Image_AppLink9=backlight (m command)
*Image_AppLink19=void, only to support a background image
*Image_AppLink18=void, only to support a background image
There is also a "home" tab showing the weather instead of the analog clock (at home I am not in a hurry and i have the digital clock as always). When I select the home profile, pa changes the SIM to the private one also. The skin is so different because I want to notice that I changed the SIM (the operator does not reflect this always).
There is a "outdoor" tab with no use so far: should be for a specific setting for outdoor and music oriented, with bt settings and a music tab or plug-in but I have not found anything as I want so far. May be you can give me a start on this area.
I usually combine it with wisbar and wisbar desktop to hide top bar and build a wm7 bottom bar
instead of the top bar I have the meters taken from a statusbar skin (sorry I can not recall the author) since I like it more than the ones in I wise. The meters are part of phone alarm skin. Between the meeters I have a windows incon with the wisbar taskmanager,
usually I combine this being the 1st tab of ultimatelaunch: let me recap: phonealarm as a plugiin of ultimatelaunch, being itself a plugin in wisbar.
I can not upload screenshot but if you want me to post the phonealarm skin I will do. As you see it is very customized so you need to be familiar with phonealarm skinning, so if it is useful for you or for anybody else who may also want to help me improve the graphics side....
I can not post the files right now because since my cruise is in the bedroom and my wife is sleeping but I will do if somebody requests it.
btw. the folder is called iwise so if you have this wonderful skin installed (the best wm7-ish for people who do not want to get complicated) you will have to change forlder name and reference in the phonealmarm .skin files. (updated: already renamed to cruiserrr)
I have customized the same skin in rl-today but I like it more with phonealarm since in rl-today tabs are slow as in phonealarm but with phonealarm you get the profiles functionality at the sametime and better than any other program I have tried so far.
I just wanted to answer you since I read your post a long time ago and I was surprised since I did not see any answer today
**********************************update ******zip file is included in post number 7 ***********
Please do post it.
If you go to the PhoneAlarm forum or search here for iWise it is perfect.
Very clean, and nice looking. And it is just a simple cab install. Try to find IWise3 because that was the last one before the dude went crazy and deleted all his posts and stuff.
He has a clean version, professional version and simple version on top of a transparent version. So it basically will meet all your needs.

cruiserrr skin
Here you are ! The file is below. I have a spanish 6.1. official rom so my sd card is called "Tarjeta de Almacenamiento" and I have windows/start menu/programs also in spanish. May be you have to change something manually.
I have updated the description in the 3rd post above.
The skin is defined with calibri font but I have not included the fonts (I hard reseted some time ago and did not have time to reinstall them, any help to test and add the fond will be welcome).
any help to improve usability with thumbs or to improve graphics is welcome. I have no idea how to make a cab of it.
My wish list to complete my ideal skin would be:
realistic:
improve clock: 1.when clicking to clock most of the times it changes backlight but a few others I still get the change time screen) 2. I think I would like it slightly smaller to give more space to the agenda bottom part.
profile selector: names are not shown completely I do not know why
mail/sms/voice: I ripped the graphics from a jpg file and added the green balloon so they can be better aligned and with better definition.
car buttons: make them more integrated in the style of the skin, and more selfexplanatory
dual sim support: it is supported but I have not been able to benefit from it. I have a single sim with two numbers inside.
unrealistic:
copy+paste tool and hide-top-bar tool with small footprint or included in phonealarm
weather plugin: written sentence explaining today's forecast and ability to define weather should be sync only when active sync'd
clock: different colours and seconds (as in rl-today)
plug-ins: possibility to include plug-ins so they change also with the profile.
profile selection and weather forecast: kinetic scrolling
battery and signal: possibility to show % if wanted and higher area of sensitivity to open details.
apps: possibility to define them in the skin instead of mapping the button to the app and defining the app in the pa settings tool
link to wm6 notifications: I have to open whatever application so that the top bar shows and then check the notification (other than alarms, emails and the rest that are controlled by pa)
multitab: quick multitab functionality when no change profile is defined.
background: may be would be nice to change by profile or by event (missed calls)

robbyr, thanks so much for the compliment !! I have no plans to make it landscape since I only use landscape mode for tomtom and since I have not that much time at this moment but I will happily support anyone willing to try to do it !! The skin files can be opened with notepad and you will see it is not that bad.
In fact it has been difficult for me to build the skin since I can not install any software in my pc so all was done with basic image programs and online converters and try-and-error ...
note: as you know, to completely uninstall the skin is as easy as deleting the cruiser folder and the cruiser*.skin from the pa directory where you have copied it.
thats for qvga correct.. i need vga
Yes, it is only QVGA! I tried to optimize graphics size and I do not need VGA resolution. For QVGA you can double size of all objects and reference to them as coordinates. iWisen is VGA/QVGA since PA is able to handle VGA as QVGA.

with current phonealarm version you only need to add a line to the skin so is vga compatible. simply add
VGA_Skin=1
to each skn file with a text editor and that should fix it.

Check out my TF3D Landscape Mode here: AnX1 TF3D Landscape.
If you like the Taskbar on the screenshot, download it here: Tsowen Taskbar SE Mod
Updates:
V3
- Added transparent slider
- Fixed internet tab highlight
- Fixed some buttons not being skinned
V2
- Fixed "new favorite" icon in people tab
- Removed panelscreen home icon, added seperate cab to install
Installation:
- Download the attached .zip file.
- Unzip the .cab file to your phone or SD card.
- Run the cab file on your phone and install to main memory (SD card should work, but untested.)
- The installation will tell you to restart, do this.
Uninstallation:
If for any reason reason at all (though there's none I can think of ) you would like to uninstall this skin;
* On ROM-installed TF3D, just uninstall the cab as you would do with any program. It will revert back to the normal skin after reboot.
* On CAB-installed TF3D, uninstall the cab as you would do with any program, download the original manila skin as attached to this thread and run it. Then reboot.
Features:
- Full WVGA theme, all tabs
- Smaller, retextured clock
- Textured panel image
- Transparent slider
Known issues (V3):
None at the moment.
Notes:
- Contents of stock tab not textured in order to keep it easy to use.
- Sub menu's are slightly modified (e.g. settings and music album), not fully.
- No support for Singh's 15-tab (yet). There's been only one request and due to manila being fairly complex, it takes a lot of time to incorporate it into this skin.
Acknowledgements:
Pama - Transparant slider
Guap - Clock line removal
Looks dope, very nice work. I'll definitely have to give it a go on my X1. I'm slowly putting together a TF3D theme as well so I know it takes alot of time to get it just right, especially since the way HTC coded it is so damn whack.
I've left all the green highlights on the one I'm working on so not sure what manila file that one is for the internet tab but I'll holler if I come across it.
Again great job with your theme!
Cheers. I'll now start working on a complementary skin for the landscape fix chalid made. Won't take that long to make, but CAB will be added. Also, here's a screenshot of the panel interface with my skin CAB.
Landscape mode now supported, see first post for thread link!

Funny thing, that! I uninstalled and totally wrecked my TF3D. When i open the panel, it keeps sitting at the white screen with the text 'loading'. If i install Shadowsong back it works again. So i guess Shadowsong's uninstallation is removing files that are required by TF3D!
msalmank, do you have a TF3D that installs by ROM, or just the cab version?
I happily posted that the files are automatically replaced, but ofcourse that's only the case with ROM installed TF3D!
Basically, this overwrites your base skin files; so uninstall removes everything.
I will package the stock skin files tomorrow, when I have time for it.

Basically, this overwrites your base skin files; so uninstall removes everything.
I will package the stock skin files tomorrow, when I have time for it.

I don't use a custom ROM, so TF3D was installed by a CAB file. I would really appreciate it if you would create a CAB file that installs everything to default.
BTW - the main reason i was uninstalling was not 'coz i didn't like the skin, i actually liked it a lot... but the reason was that it was replacing my Today Panel's image in the Panel selection screen... which is kind of annoying especially since i am using TF3D as a seperate panel and not on the Today screen. Could you possibly tell me what files to remove from the device in order for it to revert to the Today screen image instead of the skin's image?

Yes, no problem. I will fix that by creating two seperate CAB's. Will post as soon as I've got time to fix this.
V2 is up! Check first post for more information. A small note is that the regular manila files don't have the background included at this time. I will fix this asap.
EDIT: Decided to do a thorough job and fixed the background as well, manually with a non-standard file, but works perfectly.
very nice work there, hope to see more from you, maybe an 15 tab version, that would be awsome..
clearly one of the nicest skins out there.

I can add support for 15 tab if you like. I just don't use that myself as it's just a tad too buggy and the tabs just a tad too useless. ^_^ Did consider it though. Just give me a heads up if you want it and I'll start work when I get time.

what can I say, go go go...
I love the tabs, especial the commmanager and callhistory
Hey, I've been too busy with many other things so haven't had time to fix up a version 3 yet. I've added an ETA in the first post. I did release a new landscape mode which is worth looking at, so I'd say check it out. Again, first post for more info!
Sorry for the long delay, had to put this on a sidetrack as I was too busy with my landscape app and other things. This is going to receive a thorough update soon.
looks great! Can't wait for v3!
Actually, it'll be 2.1, and I'll mostly be fixing stuff up / making stuff just a tad prettier. Won't be anything major.
I've basically got the fixes I had in mind ready. Now I'm working on two seperate complementary cabs - one for Singh's 15 tabs and one for my landscape mode.
That way, users will be able to choose what they do and do not want to install.
Will also be adding a full package that installs basically everything.
Update! Check out the first post for info and downloads. =]

No, I wasn't. It looks better on the phone than on the screenshot. But nice of you to give me such a heart-warming compliment, after all the hard work I put in.

NEW VERSION 2 AVAILABLE:
FINAL VERSION AVAILABLE:[you will have to download Version 2 and then replace the vp_bkg_now.dat file with the one from V3 for it to work]:
Please note these themes are tested working with SPB mobile shell 2.1.4.
Installation Instructions are included in the ZIP
To do:
- Port to work with Panel version [coming soon] - Unfortunately I will not be doing this as I do not have to time to test/port to the panel version, if anyone with the skills to do it would like to port it you are more than welcome to, however please do mention the original creator as well, as a lot of hard work has gone into these themes
Please note: there is a qa_layout.zip file attached aswell, this file is a mod to remove the 12 pinned items in the menu screen [up the top], and to remove the grid lines aswell. Please make a backup of your original qa_layout.dat file before placing the new one.
- INSTALLATION:
1. download qa_layout.zip and rename it to qa_layout.dat
2. you simply have to copy the file and paste it into your device's program files > spb mobile shell folder
3. Do a soft reset.
Actual screenshots of V3 running on the XPERIA can be found on page 4, thanks to LFCFredda
and where the screen shot?
What is it?
hmm that's kinda strange how its showing up on your X1, what version of SPB are you running?, this is made to work on version 2.1.4 [spb mobile shell]

It's looks like you theme applied to SPb MobSh Panel.
Yes, please read the first post. This version is NOT for spb panel, it is for Spb Mobile shell version 2.1.4.
I will be releasing the panel version tonight as I am at work now

Я использовал панель
I used to panel
The Panel version didn't work for. Like mention in the Readme, I copied the two .dat files to spb mobile shell folder. After I soft reset (using software soft Reset tool from spb shell), the panel displayed just like before but the bottom buttons to scroll to different screens and the arrow button to navigate multiple pages withing spb Mobile Shell are missing.
same here...
ok, thanks for testing it out. I will look into it and try to fix that asap
Can someone please post a screenshot of what the panel version looks like at the moment so i can get around fixing it acordingly
Thanks
does not work at all on the X1
the theme looks awesome! Can't wait 'til it works with the panel!
Saw that it was done, however, it doesn't work. The only thing that happens is that the background is black, icons are the same but the small shortcuts at the bottom are gone... Any clue to why?
I can send you the entire folder from the panel
mobilemodman:
i was wondering about the statement to make a "quick" port to the panel version.
you cannot port this theme by just moving the bitmaps around. the x1 uses only 3 tabs. at least you have to modify/change the images for the bottom buttons (and side buttons in landscape mode) and therefore you have to change more than 1 or 2 xmls for the new button sizes. also: if the original background is in color you have to remove the "simple.background" class and replace it with the "gradient"-class including the seperator (which is normally not used in the panel version) in most of the layout xmls.
my guess is: this will take longer ... especially if you depend on others to test it in the panel version.
dont get me wrong ... i really would like to see a port of this theme ... but at the moment it looks to me like you want to do this "the easy way" and this is only possible if you can test your changes by yourself.
can anyone post an original screenshot how it is supposed to look ?
have fun,
quadword
panel version not working for me, none of the icons on the tabs show, nor do the icons from shortcuts. the only thing working is the black background.
@ sshick - are you sure you installed the panel version [the second zip file in my first post], because those icons in your screenshot aren't in the panel version :S. try re-installing spb mobile shell on your X1 because it seems you still have the previous theme that you tried to install
@ Quadword - yes thanks for the tip, I know the panel version has a copmletely different layout, I had changed the layout to match with the layout from the original panel version, however it seems like there are a few problems:
1) I dont think the panel version can handle colour images as the background/wallpaper, which is why the background is black, I didnt know I had to edit the xml, but thanks for the tip will do that and see
2) there is some problem with the icons at the moment, I will look into this tomorrow
3) I am busy today, but would get to work 2mrw morning and try to fix the panel version issue
@ everyone - thanks for helping out with testing, I decided it would be easier if i tested it myself so I'm going to install the panel version of SPB on my fone and test it out tomorrow. Also my new Theme is almost ready, but that is for 2.1.4 Spb mobile shell version. I will look into porting that aswell
Quadword - what folder/ .dat file would i find the xml that needs editing for the background to accept colour?

i did already modify the xmls to accept color backgrounds like the original version. maybe you can use my templates for your modifications:

Thanks QuadWord, that would be a great help. I will try that out tonight and see if I can get that panel version up and running. BTW do you know how to change the xml's so that the Tab buttons are in colour aswell??

i am not sure if i understand your question correctly ... because all the buttons use color bitmaps by default (as you can see by looking at the original theme).
the 3 buttons on the bottom to switch your screen are called "tab buttons".
the softkeys (contact & rescent) are WM6.1 and not included in the Spb-Panel.
- quadword
Looks great in non-panel version.
One thing though; The background doesn't stretch to fit the screen. Is that fixable, or a "bug" in MS? I tried resizing the images but ended up with no background at all. I didn't read much on Spb MS skinning and didn't really try very hard, so I guess I've got myself to blame.
@ maedox -It's not a bug, just that most WM phones come with a screen resolution of that size, which is why SPB was made in that way to fit the screen size of those phones, however the X1 has a much larger (longer height wise) resolution, which is why the background ends up being half way across the screen :S. I noticed if you set the calender to show one week it makes it look ok because the calendar fits right in that black space. But unfortunately [through hours of testing] i realized that changing the resolution ends up with a black screen.
@ Quadword - sorry but i thought that the tabs were in black and white aswell, ignore that question - [ BTW i pm'ed you, might need some help ]
[THE] [Updated 22-01-2010] ₪₪₪ HDWall Wallpaper CAB collection ₪₪₪ [RTFP!!]
NB: [22-Jan-2010] If you would like to request a cab file for your chosen wallpaper, you will find most will be happy to have a go for you. However, when doing so, can you please give specifics of the ROM you are using, i.e WM6.1/6.5/6.5.3, Sense/Manila/TF3D 2/2.1/2.5 and whether of not your version of Sense/Manila/TF3D is CFC compressed (if using a Custom ROM, the Rom Cooker's thread should tell you all of this information). This will greatly help the person who decides to do it for you, otherwise it's a complete shot in the dark, and if you are using anything other than the stock rom, it will most probably not work as they will normally use the default profile (TouchFLO v2.1 - No Compression - All Tabs). Actually, if you know all this info, there's no reason why you can't successfully have a go yourself, as I would always urge you to do. There's nothing like being able to do it yourself!
Here's an idea...changing the wallpaper on our TP2s seems a bit more difficult than in the past. The usual "background 4 all pages" methods that are about seem to cause problems for some (actually most, I think). I personally get a massive lag in screen rotation and other graphical gitches that I can't live with.
The answer is HDWall (massive thanks to maranell0 for this great piece of software)
OK, so it's time consuming and it involves a CAB installation and soft reset (actually, if you skip the restart after CAB installation, just restarting TF3D from Settings>>Personal>>Today>>Items does the trick), but what you end up with is a flawless wallpaper, higher in resolution than the standard methods, same background on all tabs, and absolutely no glitches or lags in rotation that I have noticed.
So the idea is, post your CABs and screenshots and share with the community your creations, save people the time and effort and make changing your wallpaper to suit your mood easy again!
Here's a start.... (also included MobileMatt's Crystal clock...credit to him for that)

***A quick tip for new users of HDWall...Before you start creating your wallpaper, from the config menu select the profile that matches you ROM's WM6.x / WM6.5.x... and Manila/Sense version, otherwise it will not work. Read the instructions on maranell0's post for full details of how it's done! If at first you don't succeed, keep trying and eventually it will seem easy!***
One more thing. I don't personally get this problem, but if the picture doesn't load on the home tab, but all the other tabs are ok, you will need to clear the following 3 values in the registry (after the first install):
In HKCU/Software/HTC/manilla/
clear the value of
1: Cachedbackgroundpath
2: DefaultHomeBackgroundPath
3: HomeBackgroundPath <<<thanks to real187 for this info

Try turning on/off (or reset) your device.
I think the stock rom is still having bugs since I also have this issue from time to time.
Also you could try disabling touchflo in the homescreen and then enabling it again
Just a suggestion guys and gals. All these walls are great. Theres an option to add a layer of color over the image and with that theres opacity options. I find that adding a black layer with some transparency enables much better previews of sms messages, as lighter colors can be confusing.

The task bar icon set is the standard stock set. The TF3D icon set is "Neon Theme v1.2a - Transparent both" thanks to nicelad_uk
The clock, (which is actually in the same manilla file as the icons for the call history and calendar on the home screen, hence why they are different, but not personally my choice) is by MobileMatt...can't remember where I found out so it's attached here: View attachment 200500 - Thanks again to MobileMatt

No, as the target resolution for the program to achieve from your pictures is WVGA. You need to use a standard BG 4 all tabs/pages app on your device with VGA images.
