Today Plugins: which is most used?

Cause of low memory space i need to know how many users prefer a today plugin instead another.
Ps: If is Others (must have similar today functions of the softwares in the poll) , please write something about it!

I generally use cLaunch as a launcher, or my own plugins. But if you want to read about different plugins, please have a good long read here and here.

I know I know (...i've forget claunch!!!)
You have to install ONE of this Plugins, and i want to discover which is most used by Magician users.

As a task closer, I use my VJOkButt. It's not perfect, but it works well for me. For launching, I use cLaunch. With SmallMenu as a startmenu replacement, that's pretty much everything I need.

PzP Has not the function to put icons on the today screen...
however i hope spb is + used... but isn't a little heavy??
Currently i'm running Ilauncher (for icons)+ GSPocketMagic (taskManager)
(+Pocketweather+PZP+Egress+messaging)
and i would to change this "configuration"
@vijay555: i am talking of Today Plugin that put icons on the screen (and others individuals functions)

I use Resco explorer's Plug in.. I find it very nice and light... it shows battary, memory..etc, also allows you to add your own apllications shortcuts into the today screen....

- JGUI Zodiac Date (jeus for the date, and it doesn't pop up anything if you accedently tap it )
- tAgenda (used to have Tasks, Inboy and CalenderPlus, tAgenda makes all three obsolete)
- Oh, and Nakka's TDLaunch, because it let's can configure Iconsize and margins !
Not really a Today Plugin, but it replaces Todays info perfectly : W-Tools ResInfo (yes, Battery stats, Storage and Mem gauge in the Tray! It even shows charging )
My taskmanager is PocketNav, and i use the camerabutton as TodayToggleOFF and the memobutton for TodayToggle (Hi Vijay ! Great tools ! Normaly i would have taken a dozen pictures of side of my pants !
Now nothing really serious happens if the buttons get pushed accedentaly!)

Wow, someone actually uses TodayToggle?!
There's a name I haven't head for a looong time
I like it, but I will really have to think of something useful to do with that app some day!

Well, it's usefull enough for me.
I used to have "Today" under a button, but always shutdown the PPC afterwards, so.......
And if i use TTN5, i don't want to PPC to trun of, hence....
AND i always had a problem with accendently pressing the side buttons, and now the at least don't open "Tasks" or like i said, worse; the camare and starts shooting...
Btw, i tried Hidestart, but it doesn't seem to do anyting but temp. show time and batt %....
I'm still looking for all kinds of "Thumbs only" or "Thick fingers" solutions, i use my PPC a lot 'one handed' or in the car...
Espec. setting snooze to 15 min. or so in the car is considdered 'reckless driving'

I haven't developed HideStart any futher than a very early preview a long time ago. I've got some ideas about changing the way notifications are presented, particularly in VJSihaya, but I still like the idea of HideStart.
However, I think that when you "ghost" reminders, they still try to silently activate themselves from time to time, which causes your current app to lose focus, which is irrititing if you're typing something. I thought it was a bug in my code until I realised this. However, I still use it to ghost reminders from time to time when I'm too busy to snooze them all
It's possible some code I wrote for the upcoming release of VJOkButt (used to get around incoming call notifications) might be of help here... but HideStart is not a priority right now unfortunately. I actually just developed it for my own use in a modified version so that I could switch between Start Bar, New Bar and ToggleToday. It shouldn't really have been released, but I thought the reminder remodeling code was a useful idea to demonstrate... more later, I've got work to do

So do i, if it worked If i only could find a decent prorgamming/scripting language for the PPC. Although Mortscript is pretty nice, it misses so features....
And i'm not really a programmer, more like a scripter... Maybe i should take some time to dive into VB or eVB (I can do quite nice things in Acces on the desktop !)

Good tip for people with the 6800, or any 320 X 240 and 240 X 320 screens, in google just type in the serch bar,
"320 x 240" and "240 X 320" for landscape and portrait pics..

lets see, visible, i have htc home, of course, and thats about it. the buttons are done with wisbar desktop and the menues and task manager are all wisebar advanced. power button is shutxp. battery meter at the top is vistahide battery gauge. i think that might sum it up?

Ok .. here is mine.
Basically using the HTC Home Customizer with HTC HomeW6.
I have installed the HTX X-button but not really sure I like it. Open to other recommendations.
Also, I have the Stroths-Codyppc LedKiller 3.1, but it doesnt always seem to work -- real strange. Seems like once I sync up, it deactivates or something. Open to a better suggestion here too.
Edit: Actually the LEDKiller 3.1 does work as it is suppose to. I didn't realize that it would start blinking again if I had a vx msg out there. Ahh, still learning.

My today screen looks identical to yours so I won't bother posting a pic.
Regarding your task manager, I fully suggest wktask. It is customizable like crazy. For instance, I have mine set up so that a downward swoop closes all open apps. In one swoop!!! Tell me that's not convenient.

No you can't..sorry lol..

do you think you could run me through setting up wisbar desktop with that vista theme? I tried once, but just ended up locking up my phone and having to reinstall to be able to do anything.

I would be more than happy to help anyone with Wisbar, either advance or desktop. I have become quite fond of the programs. I will tell you that if you are using any of the new roms of new radios, for some reason wisbar is a little glitchy (they are slow to update their software). I used the vista theme for quite a while, had the windows, C:, sidebar, everything. But its a HUGE memory hog. As much as it was cool to show people that I could open a window on my "desktop", it wasnt worth having to wait 10 seconds to reply to a text message because the phone was loading so slow. I am actually using the vista theme right now on wisbar. Thats what the button on the bottom is. The Vista theme (original, not the crappy knockoff ones) is three pages, the one you see on mine, a desktop one, and a sidebar one. I have just removed the last two. If you are still interested, let me know. I have the original files for the vista theme, i can upload it and let you know how to set it up.
And Mr. Nur, I dont really know what you are trying to say in reply to the question about HTC home. The HTC home on my screen is the EXACT same one thats on your screen. I can customize it using HTC customizer if i want to and I have the 6 tab option as well (i just like only 5 of the tabs though.) So I guess i dont really understand the question. I am running that setup with HTC Home?

Does anyone know how to make Win Ce Cab Manager change your tsk files. Or change the wall paper. What i'm tryin to do is install a cab that'll change my wall paper for me.

The only thing I wan't people to do when they see the thread is download that program and post 2 pics of their phone, i'm just hosting a thread so anyone can show people what there phone look's like after putting time into it..

- Adding shortcuts to special places/actions, like Settings and New SMS (workaround): I haven't tried that personally, but i'm sure it's possible to create a special .lnk (with special parameters) for such actions (just goggle it) and add em like regular application.

Seems very usable. I like the look. I'm a compare it to the iFonz, like that it's not an app, but I still feel that if you can seperate the bottom four icons and put the page dots above it and have the same docking look as the iPhone. You're good to go Oh and I hate the fact that I can't have TF3D and have this running on Second Today I can only have one. No bugs so far. It seems pretty fast.

I understand the UI, but wondering if it was possible to make it so that TF3D still is the main hompage, and this becomes a replacement for the programs portion of WM6. I understand that it is iPhone like, but I like the TF3D, but would love to replace the programs folder with this instead of the WM6 version. Or even replacing the TF3D programs tab with this. Using it as a today screen cuts out alot of essential info. Just asking and giving feedback.

I basically said the same thing I think it would be possible, but D-Man would have to re-code it and change it, because I think it'd be hard to keep both of them. If you're want it like this only for the programs, I suggest you look into TouchXperience by schaps which should have a public beta by christmas >.> (I've been waiting ever so patiently for him to come out with it since it looks too good to be true and it's uber awesome and I could like talk about it all day since it's so awesome, but I won't because it's going to clog my whole post with TouchXperience)

To me (personal opinion) this is more of a app launcher (a nice one at that), and as far as TouchExperiance, I gave up on it and I think it has been abandoned.

it somehow slows down menu popup when im in app launcher thou, not at home screen
one more thing is sometimes it will restart itself when u add a shortcut, and u have to add a different shortcut instead of the one causing prob, then only able to add the one afterward

Notice that Default desktops settings probably doesn't fit to any other then 320x240 screens. It is beta so I haven't focus on this yet.
Almost 100% support of all possible resolutions (including VGA, Touch HD resolution, etc.). There are a few situations where yrgo will not drawn everything correctly.
Multilanguage support - I'll provide the translation tool soon on my forum.
Improved graphical rendering. Animations and scrolling should be faster.
New headline in menus showing clock, battery and signal level.
Today plug-in Gadget: ability to Share one instance of the plugin on several desktops - this repairs bugs with some plugins that weren't able to show correctly on several desktops (or in portrait and landscape mode). You can even set the size of the Today Plugin Gadget (some Today Plugins doesn't support resizing correctly).
New Desktop switcher gadget - in Design mode you can set an icon to every desktop in yrgo. This icon is then used with Desktop switcher gadget.
New Volume gadget - it currently doesn't show the Volume state (on, off, vibrate) - will be implemented later.
New Gadgets using actions history: Most used actions, Most used settings, Most used applications, Most used calls, Most written SMSes
Gadget clock allows to show digital clock using fancy pictures - just set clock to digital and then to "Graphical clock"
Gadget Date - you can set the format of the date using the same parameters as you use them in Regional settings.
Small information panel when yrgo is processing action that take more time.
Added shadow to the texts
New color themes
The list items can be again controlled by the keyboard
More smart installer - the installation is finished when run yrgo first - after that some unnecessary files are deleted so the yrgo takes less space on your PDA.
Repaired bug - in VGA mode the Gadgets in design mode drew an trail while moving them.
Repaired bug - the Gadgets were rearranged when trying to change landscape/portrait mode and using Non-FullScreen mode.
Repaired bug - sometimes yrgo catches "fake" clicks when accessing the context menu.
There were some another changes but I just forgot on them ;-).

Guys,
I know about this bug but do not forget that you can completely redesign any of all 64 desktops! Just switch to the design mode (tap and hold anywhere on the desktop) and then you can move, delete, add or modify any gadget on the desktop.

Hi,
yes, it is a beta version - that means it is not version officially presented on my website or offered on various download servers.
yrgo is shareware - it works with limitations without purchasing a registration key. And the same condition is valid for the beta versions. The users that has already bought yrgo are able to unlock beta version with their registration key, but without this key, you cannot unlock it.

Is there a way to make this a today plugin and takes up the whole screen?

Ok here is my first theme for the new TP2 port from xboxmod really incredible work by his team.

Disable Touchflow from your settings/today/items
Install the .cab
reboot when promted
restart touchflow from settings/today/items

The dialer from the my old VGA alienX theme works as does the S2U2 with this theme.

This is great. Love it . Its amazing

I love the looks of this in the video and them screen shots, strangely though after installing it I restart, reload touchflo and just get corrupted screen, tried restarting the phone and get the Initializing PPC takeover with its graphics but then it goes to a corrupt display again, gutted

You are running the Touch Pro 2 Ported software correct? As this is not for the regular touchflow 3d.

Is there a version for TF1?
This looks amazing!
Is there a version that can work on the "old" version of TF3D?
(I can think of a lot of less technical people who may want it too)

Nope nothing for the old version the 2 are very different so its not a small job to make the changes. For now I am usen TP2 on my phone and love it so I can't see going to the old touchflow for a while, but I will keep this in mind. There is a version of this for the stock tf3d but its not quite the same this is the updated version.

Hey, will this only work with ATR ROM? It's the only ROM I see with the small tf3d icons along the bottom bar.

The theme is wonderful and i'm running it without issues for the past 8 hrs.
Can you do a favor and do something about the appointments messing up the buttons. (see screenshot).
Also its difficult to know which button represents what, can you change the buttons and make them represent sms, email etc.

i saw u wrote that u recommend the touch pro 2 rom on the lower right corner of the screenshot, wat is the rom tat u recommend?

Appointments--That is the software not the theme.. I can do nothing about it sorry xbmod is aware of this issue I am sure.
The small buttons I removed as the big icons are shown as you drag along from screen to screen it does not take long to figure out were they all are.

Juicy6 rom on ppcgeeks is the one I am using and I really like it.

Can you remove the transperacy in the curtain so that it hides off the appointments ?
Also your theme is not visible in the remove programs list, but i can see it through activesync add/remove program. Is it a rom issue?

That is a TP2-or Rom issue yes, I use SKTools for adding and removing programs as nothing seems to show thats installed in the stock add remove programs thingy. but SKtools works fine.

Try adding this manila file back in i believe this will restore the bottom semi transparent black curtain. If you want it, it may look a bit off on the theme but if its important for you.
To put it in shut tf3d off from your settings and move to your windows folder, overwrite when prompted.

The dialer is in my old ALIENX diamond release for the regular TF3D that and the S2U2 are in that .zip file just google ALIENX by PROBEX i guarantee you will find it.
