Recommend Radio for HK

I have just upgraded the radio to 1.64.08.21 and I'm getting incredibly poor reception. In addition I seem to be unable to connect to 3G network (Smartone-vodafone). Unfortunately I forgot to write down my default radio rom version. If anyone has a OEM Cruise, please let me know the radio version or if someone can recommend me a version. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Too bad my friend, now even if you try to revert your Radio back to the factory you will continue to receive the same poor reception.

I hope Jibreil is mistaken on his point for your sake, but he seems pretty sure. I have a new Cruise and the stock radio version is 1.58.21.23. Good luck...

Just flash the original ROM and after flashing, Hard Reset before setting up your device and you'll get back your original radio and reception quality.

Thanks for the replies, I'll try out your suggestion regarding the stock ROM and let you guys know!

Been there done that, doesn't help my friend. Why do you think I had to replace my device eventually?!?

EDIT: I'm quite surprised that your factory radio is a lower version than my factory radio.

Unfortunately, flashing to the shipped WWE ROM and performing a hard reset did not work. This was not my original shipped ROM, but I am unable to find a working HK CHT Cruise ROM, maybe someone could point me in the right direction?

I have no problem in using 1.64.08.21 both in HK & Mainland China. Reception is as good as the original shipped 21.23 version.

I have flashed my polaris (touch cruise) with the radio 1.64.08.021 an from then on the gsm connectivity is low or it vanish at all...
I would need the original german rom (not the 02 one) to be able to send my
htc to warranty. Please help me...
Or maybe someone knows a bug or something like that to fix the problem?? The htc worked fine till the replacement of the radio. HDSPA is on an band is in auto-mode. sim-card is ok, but the signal on my htc does in the best case only reach the 46 % and normaly in houses or closed rooms it vanished at all

change your radio rom..
you cannot solve your low gsm connectivity with rom changing..
if you flashed 1.64.08.021 radio rom you have to change it with Murata radio rom (1.58.21.23)

Radio Rom upgrade and hard-SPL

Hello.
The question is i have a touch cruise apparently and want to do something about the poor gsm reception. Do I have to Hard-spl before i use the Polaris_Radio_1.64.08.21?
Also what is the difference between the above radio and murata radios?
I've read several threads and still can't figure it out.

I post in a couple of threads but think may be is best to create a new one.
Got my Cruise for almost a week and notice that it comes with a new official Radio version that is not mentioned in this forum.

Radio 1.58.25.21
For me the device works perfect. No BT problems, no weird sounds, good quality pictures, camera ok, good network coverage, wi-fi, etc.
I'm looking for somebody that could explain me the complete process to dump the ROM and Radio and create the RUU_signed.nbh ready to flash like the cooked ROM's or Radios. I now there's a thread talking about this but is a bit confusing... 4 rar files, etc... my english is not the best.
If somebody want to help me, I could dump it and upload the Radio and ROM... maybe this could help somebody to solve some problems.

There's no download for it. It's in my new Polaris and I want to dump the Radio and the ROM, but need a little help for an expert to do it, and after that, I'll be glad to share it with the comunity.

Isn't there already a topic for How to dump a rom???

Is the rom for the rest good working..fast and stable..because maybe you can make a whole pack of the rom and radio for us.

1.64 is from other HTC phone with same radio hardware module ( I forget the type). But radio ROM should cowork with protocol version. Therefore 1.58.x is best for Polaris, please dump your radio ROM

tks for your answer, so the newest one for the Polaris should be the 1.58.26.20 is it correct?
To solve my problem I tried the 1.58.21.23 and it did not work while I was in USA, then I came back home in Spain and the only thing I did, was reputting the service center nr. by hand (but this I did it before too) AND I put the +34 in front of the 177 the voice mail number ... and IT WORKS NOW a very strange thing ...
another thing I do not understand, the newest Radio ROM for Polaris seems to be the 1.58.26.20 (it has the highest number) but in this post a colleague from PT says he has the newest, but it is a lower number ...
I really feel lost ... can you explain a bit more?

Radio 1.58.26.20 is from kaiser and should work on polaris like the two
1.64.XX.XX radios which are from kaiser aswell.

When someone dumps the 1.58.25.28, I'll give it a try.
So far the Polaris_Radio_Murata_1.58.25.14_sign_25.69.30.05 solved all my problems and have full coverage, wifi and gps even inside buildings..

Currently I use this version too (for WWE).
But before flash to WWE, original shipped radio ROM
1.58.25.21_sign_25.69.30.05 is better in usage as I remember.
Therefore, please dump radio and upload, guys~

if it helps the camera thing.. for some reason, i'd use it.
camera is slow..
but i didn't have to send it to service or anything..
besides the camera and the obvious lack of 3D drivers everything works GREAT

Finaly y think that i've done a dump of my radio (1.58.25.21), but now i don´t know how to make it flaseable.

Read the thread about flashing to the radio rom 2.07.51.22.
I see you got better signal in the weak signal area. Did flashing to this radio rom also increase the battery capacity, or didn`t you notice any difference?

Can some one to put this Radio to some where else? Both links is death.

Any chance of somebody re-uploading this or helping me out with a link to it....
