My HTC Touch Cruise (Polaris) has peculiar behavior - when I am editing Calendar appointments and close Calendar, phone ringtone goes automatically to vibrate (no ringing, just vibrate). This behavior is after my meddling with HTC Home - without HTC Home activated, the Calendar and ringtones are normal -please help

Perhaps you tell us which ROM you are using?
My ROM is 1.25.405.1 WWE, ROM date 12/11/07

Note:
I think that following Keys in registry are changed:
HKLM\Software\HTC\HTCHome\Profile\AUTO\Path .... the key is empty - what should be in it?
And also HKLM\Software\OEM\MASD\Quickdial .... the key is empty - what should be in it?
Many thanks Vaclav
I get exactly the same happening. Can anyone help?

Hi all
Sometimes when I touch near the bottom of my screen (to delete a text or choose a menu in IE etc...) the bloody HTC contacts program launches (the one where you can assign pics to people etc...) I don't use it and want it to stop appearing. Anyone know how to disable it?
Thanks in advance
Anyone????
Hello, just wondering if there was a easy way to map the email tab on the new WM 6.5 lock screen so it does not bring up the Outlook email, instead it would open the new email directly? Thanks
Bottom of post 3 of my 6.5.x thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4268138&postcount=3
This will allow you to redirect the application launched, however you will still need a program or option that will load up the email directly
Ok so I changed it to \windows\tmail.exe
So we will see what happens shortly, thanks for the help.
Worked like a charm thanks, your the man!

Hi I have a problem with the lockscreen and its SMS/TEXT Notification. If my mobile is locked and it's receiving a message or a call, the number of missed items will be displayed on the slider. But if the mobile goes to suspend mode it will loose the number of SMS on the slider after waking up again.
Do you know why and how to fix that?
I was just going to ask if there was away to extend the slider notification time, (if thats what it is). I do find if you don't unlock soon after a new email / txt or whatever is downloaded the sliders notification disappears.
any of the numerous more knowledgable people in this forum know what registry setting would set the lockscreen slider to open manila sms when i get a text?
Hi,
my HD2 is not waking up after receiving a sms. The green led is blinking but the display is still "black".
I changed in the "sound & notifications" the setting "Message: New message" -> "Display message on screen" to "yes" but nothing changed.
Installed programs:
Resco Explorer+Registry add-in
Background4allTabs
custom Taskbar Icons
CleanRAM
Duttys Task Manager
Chobit SmartLock
ROM Version 1.43.405.1 (70124)WWE
I uninstalled the SmartLock but the device is not waking up
Is there any other option i forget to set?
Greetings
wakeup on SMS is disabled as default for some stupid reason.
Edit the following reg key (from memory)
\localmachine\drivers\builtin\ril\disablesmswakeup - change from 1 to 0
My device now wakes up perfectly when getting a new SMS
thanks be_vigilant - works great now. maybe you can help me with the vibrations, too.
on my hd the device vibrates if a new sms received. i also set the setting "vibrate" in the sounds & notifications option. Is this also a registry "hack" to activate the vibration for sms?
Hi,
I want to do this too - where is the registery stored???
Cheers

Rewrote the key and still no sound, what could be the reason?

Hello,
Is there a reg edit on how to change phone>menu>view>calls and contacts
to just show all calls instead without doing this manually all the time.
Try this:
After Phone
tap the avatar with the handset to the left of the word "Call" in the green button.
Hey thanks for the reply sorry it took so long to respond back. I just want to know if there is a permanent way to change this default setting(phone>menu>view>calls and contacts) to new setting (all calls) (which looks better then call history panel). Without doing this every single time I going into the phone panel.
EXAMPLE:
HTC HD2 T-MO
DEFAULT PERMANENT SETTING - phone>menu>view>calls and contacts
WHAT I WANT INSTEAD:
NEW SETTING - phone>menu>view>all calls
for windows mobile on the htc snap/maple... im wondering if there is a registry edit or other trick to make the Send button from the home screen show only the call log without contacts. after pressing it, you can select calls or calls and contacts from the menu but it never remembers this, so im wondering if i can change the default behavior. i find the contacts kind of redundant because they are only one button away from the home screen anyway. thanks in advance!
