HTC Home SMS shortcut - Touch Dual, MDA Touch Plus General

I have installed a program making the SMS page just like iPhone, can i change the registry so that when I click the SMS icon in HTC home, it will automatically open the program instead of WM6's original SMS page? Thanks a lot

No, you can't modify htc home customizer's shortcuts in the first tab...

Same here. I've been looking for an answer to this question for awhile now.
donno if this is what you need, but in the Sounds and Notifications menu under 'Notifications' there is Event box. Selections include a 'Messaging: New Text Message', select that and uncheck the 'Display Message On Screen' box.. then you wont receive the default pop up box displaying the text message..only pocketcm will pop up...
I assume in pocketcm setting you turned its sms off and set it to use original sms program?

Override defaults with PocketCM

I have searched the forum and cannot figure this out.. I am able to remap my softkeys to launch PocketCM instead of the built-in Contact app for wm6 on my Sprint Touch.
Does anyone know how to override the defaults so that anytime a notification is recieved for a new txt message, missed call, ect - it will only launch PocketCM instead of the built-in wm6 apps? Also, if I were to press on the icons in the wm6 today page for message/notification/missed call, can i have it launch PocketCm instead of the built-ins?
Please advise. Thank you,

Did you use CAB or ZIP to install?
Obviously, you can disable the new SMS notifications in WM and set Pocket CM to come to the front instead.
You can also set PocketCM to be your default WM Contacts App if you use the CAB installation method. This will ensure that any icons previously mapped to WM Contacts will redirect to PocketCM instead
As for calls, you will automatically be diverted to the WM Call history list. I don't think there is a way around that one. However, its worth trying Vito FunContact just to check whether thay have managed to do it. If so, you could search the Registry for FunContact entries and see how they've done it.

SMS-Chat and HTC Home

Hi all! This is my first post here and I have a predicament. I use the HTC Home today plugin with the HTC Home Customizer. I also use SMS-Chat as my preferred SMS program. However if I want to use SMS chat, instead of the default messaging program, I have to go to start > SMS Chat, or Launcher > SMS chat. This isn't a major deal, however I would like to be able to just push the middle SMS link on HTC Home and have it pull up SMS chat. Is there a way I can edit the path it uses? I would like to keep the leftmost messaging link the same, so that I can still check my email and mms easily, but I would like the sms link just for SMS-Chat. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

WM 6.5 Lock Screen email tab

Hello, just wondering if there was a easy way to map the email tab on the new WM 6.5 lock screen so it does not bring up the Outlook email, instead it would open the new email directly? Thanks
Bottom of post 3 of my 6.5.x thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4268138&postcount=3
This will allow you to redirect the application launched, however you will still need a program or option that will load up the email directly
Ok so I changed it to \windows\tmail.exe
So we will see what happens shortly, thanks for the help.
Worked like a charm thanks, your the man!

Hi I have a problem with the lockscreen and its SMS/TEXT Notification. If my mobile is locked and it's receiving a message or a call, the number of missed items will be displayed on the slider. But if the mobile goes to suspend mode it will loose the number of SMS on the slider after waking up again.
Do you know why and how to fix that?
I was just going to ask if there was away to extend the slider notification time, (if thats what it is). I do find if you don't unlock soon after a new email / txt or whatever is downloaded the sliders notification disappears.
any of the numerous more knowledgable people in this forum know what registry setting would set the lockscreen slider to open manila sms when i get a text?

How to disable SMS preview screen? HD2 Tmous

Hello guys!
My first post on this forum, please excuse me if this has already been covered, but I don't see it anywhere..
The sms preview screen is driving me nuts... I always click on "All messages" to see threaded view...
Is there any way to mod the phone so it just goes STRAIGHT to "all messages" in threaded mode when you click on the text messages icon?
Are there any cab files available for the issue? I don't see a way to disable it right on my phone out of the box...
Many thanks!!!
BTW. I'm talking about the simple black screen with white font that pops up when you move the slider on the home screen to "Messages".
That black screen is so freaking annoying!!!
Bump, Anyone?
well....
well i dont know of a way to make the tab go straight into all messages, but you could uncheck the show messages tab in settings=personalize home tabs and just add a shortcut for messages to your homescreen
DUDE!!! That was one of those things that was right in front of my face but I didn't see. Excellent call. It's an even easier way to get into messaging than what I was trying to get.
Cheers!
i use CHT so i disabled the tab and set the defualt messaging client to the message icon in my start menu
