[REQ] How to DELETE "PHONE" in Windows Mobile 6.1 - Windows Mobile Development and Hacking General

Hello everybody !
I'm cooking a rom for my pda (mio p550) in wm6.1 !
I want to delete the phone function because thsi PDA is not a pdaphone !
When i delete all the *phone* folders in SYS, i have some problems with "calendar", "contact" and wifi !
So i think that some files in these folders are required !
Have you information about deleting PHONE function in wm6.1 ?
Great thanks !

Hello! I'm sorry I can't help you about this but I'm very glad you are doing this, so I can use again my p350!

what do woy want to delete?

THE PHONE applications

that would mean you are using wm6 PRO base. You know how to port roms, this would mean, no? Try using a wm6 classic as the base.

MMMMMMMMM
So, where can i find a wm6.1 classic SYS folder ?

I use the last sys folder issue form the diamond Si i would continue with this LAST SYS build, but i would like to "ADAPT" this WM6.1 pro et wm6.1 classic !

Is this a Cooked ROM? If it is, the *.dsm files may have been removed, so getting package info can't happen.

Installing TouchFlo 3D from WM6.5 on WM6.1

Hi everybody.
I'm using the standard HTC ROM (1.14.406.3) and I would like to update my touchflo 3D to the one present inside the Windows Mobile 6.5 without changing my ROM.
Is there a .cab to do that ?
Thanks.

There is no new TFLO3D in WM 6.5.... I'm guessing you saw a custom ROM where someone cooked in the new TFLO3D from the Rhodium.

Oh, ok.
I saw here : http://ai.rs/2009/02/htc-touch-diamond-2-screenshots/ a new version of touchflo (with calendar and new keyboard).
I'm looking for it.

Here is the new TFLO3D:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=493531
But it's for VGA only, i'm not sure what res the HD's screen is but i'm sure someone has (or is trying to) port it to that screen res.
Also, in those screenshots, the Diamond 2 is still running WM 6.1 not WM 6.5.
dwizzy130
yes you'r right.
I saw this version on a WM6.5 custom ROM for the HD (I don't remember its name)
Hi Psykokwak
here is a stable ROM with the new TF3D (it's actually in my opinion the best FRE rom)
http://win-mobile.forumpro.fr/touch...3-os-5221041-version-3-du-14-05-09-t19691.htm
I haven't seen the new tf3d as a .cab so far...

It's not really done from cabs but have a read in the Rom forum
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=453
for more details
pick one of the roms (read the thread first) and if you have questions check the stickies at the top first
then try asking in the thread for the rom you choose
Gary
Someone made a cab to install the latest touchflo 3D on our HD.
This is highly experimental.

Porting Topaz to Rhodium

Hi everybody
i have a Touch Pro 2 ( rhod100 )
i need the old classic bluetooth interface so can:
- change this interface on my 6.5 rom or in my 6.1 rom
- port another rom like the Topaz one in my Rhodium
but i'm experiencing very hard technical difficulties in doing this because i' quite a n00b...!!
That's what i am doing:
-take my RUU_signed.nbh and decompile it with NBHTool.exe
-drag Windows.nb on Dump_800.bat
-drag Windows.nb on dumpxip.bat
-i tried now to go on in a lot of different way but none of them drive me to a good result....
now do i have to use pakagebuilder with my .dsm files?
how can i make a file structure that i can use with a visual kitchen like the Ervius one?

[PROBLEM] Cooked Rom stuck at boot

I am using ervius to build a rom, Everything works according to the kitchen except that it could not find the ppchanger. But that shouldn't be an issue. However, whenever I load it to the phone. It becomes stuck at boot. What am I doing wrong? Here's the build log.
Update: I moved the wincenls_wwe to my oem to no avail. still stuck at touch pro screen. Here's the latest build log after recmodding some files:
Everything seems to be ok and if it stucks in the first splash screen is issues related to XIP check your OEMxipkernel all the modules.... same format! check the MSXIPkernel all the modules same format!
i see you are addin manila but i couldn saw any manila pkg in OEM or EXT cause you dont have nothing in EXT and you just have OEM and SYS.. where did you get all of this OEm SYS and addons?
Thanks for your reply. All I did was dump a shipped rom. Then I tried to add a 6.5 build. The shipped rom had manila within the oem.
ok... first of all... wich device is it? wich rom was the original rom? 6.1 or 6.5? did you checked 6.5 real aku on the kitchen?
and yes dont forget to check the thread of how to make rom bootable..

Well I tried the Verizon XV6850_MR1_Upgrade_v2.0 for the Touch Pro. I am trying to create the rom for CDMA device (herman correct?) The original rom is 6.1 and I am trying to put the 21903 build. Yes I checked the aku 6.5. I've read the threads from others with the similiar issues. I've tried the recmod.exe in the Ervius tools folder, and I've also tried the recmod auto zip. I've downloaded and went through the list of sys files that can be recmodded with no luck. What steps exactly do I take to make sure that the oemxipkernel and msxipkernel are the same format?
Hi well it seems that you need to know this, if your dumped rom was 6.1 your kernel is not real aku 6.5 so you dont check that box in the kitchen

oh... so even if I am using 6.5 sys & xip.bin if I am bringing over the oem kernel from the base rom then I should NOT check it... Is that what you are saying?
Exactly!
If you dump the 6.1 STOCK ROM you will have xip.bin payload rromhdr.bin and OEMXIPKERNEL V6.1 and you will not check the the real aku6.5 on the kitchen
If you dump a 6.5 STOCK rom you will have everything in 6.5Version so you can check that checkbox... Why you dont take a look into the main stickie in repositories maybe you can find your Native 6.5 OEMXIPKERNEL and send to the hell the 6.1 version

So it doesn't matter if the 6.5 stock rom is not for cdma touch pros? As long as I choose the right dpi and of course remove gsm stufff then I can create a build for it? Am I right in my thinking?
yes the thing that makes the GSM or CDMA rom is in your OEMXIPKERNEL things and in your OEM folders
Wow!! This is some amazing stuff. Ok one more question, of late most builds do not include the oemxipkernels, and I've learned that you can generate this with xipport button in ervius. If i was to use this, and i port the os.payload & the build's xip.bin, should I check the box that this is a native 6.5 kernel?
Touch pro is the FUZE isnt it?
Why you dont ask in Da_G thread for the Native 6.5 TOUCH P kernel
i cant remember well but i guess i saw it
you dont need to do that the kitchen ports the xip.bin payload bal bla bla autopmatically for you
Just want to say thanks for your help. I find your insight very helpful. I will start from scratch and see what happens. Thanks again.

Build Files for Windows Mobile

Hi, I'm creating a Windows Mobile ROM for my smartphone.
This thread can help anyone that want to cook for Windows Mobile, because ALL cookers need Windows Mobile Builds to cook.
So I searched Windows Mobile 6.1 and 6.5 Build files. I found these from Da_G :
---WinMob 6.1 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=547314
---WinMob 6.5 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=544445
They are perfect all-in-one packages, they contain XIP, SYS... and other
They work with all resolution, all dpi...and there are also all language localization pack
But now, ALL Links don't work and I ABSOLUTELY need these Build files. So I can't cook because it's impossible to cook without them...
Anyone who has cooked a ROM with these Build downloaded them...
WHERE can I download them ? Can anyone upload them again?
WHERE can I download other Builds similar to these?
---I need Italian Localization Package. Where can I download it?
I want to cook in my mother language how can i do it? (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2262838)
Thanks a lot
Maybe I don't have replies in my threads because I can't speak english...
Sorry I'm :silly:
In practice when I open the Kitchen in the first screen is written "...please select an official update file..."
The kitchen refers to a clean ROM, a nacked ROM with nothing... a WinMob Build to cook...
I hope I was clear this time... :fingers-crossed:
Aren't smartphone builds different from touch-screen device builds??
'Smartphones' don't have touchscreens.
Well if your device is a touch-screen phone, try these:
WM 6.5.5 Build 23563 - All Langs, All DPI, All Resolutions (WM6550-23563-Rollup-All-Pkgs.7z)
If that doesn't work for also you, I also found this one: 23563_All-Res_All-Lang.7z, but try the above link first.
If any links you find don't work, generally you can find other links by googling the filename I myself have not downloaded from these links. Good luck cooking
Thanks a lot navcar.
My phone has touchsreen
So, if I want to cook in italian language these 6.5 builds are perfect?
But the italian language for the 6.1?
Here is my question http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2262838
