Keyboard problem, Russian ROM

I have couple of troubles with my 9100.
1. Virtual keyboard has Cyrillic layout. To write in English I have to tap au virtual key for each letter. I didnt find how to switch to English layout. It's very hard to write this message using virtual keyboard, believe me.
2. I cannot use Terminal Services client because I cannot enter English letters to specify login name and password. I tried to switch layout on sliding keyboard by it enters always Cyrillic. I tried virtual keyboard too but the same result.
I supposed any third party keyboard layout utility will help but I didnt find anything that works fine on 9100. I tried qkeys and Resco keyboard.
Does anyone know something about?

Which version?

Had the very same problem.
1. Tap au key twice (fast) and it would switch to english
2. Use any registry editor to change "Keyboard layout" string value in HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Terminal Server Client\ from "00000419" to "00000409". Wait a couple of mins and soft-reset the device. After that ts client will be using english by default.

By the way how to tap @ on virtual keyboard? I cannot find it, have to use sliding keyboard...

This is where Resco Keyboard would come in handy

Excuse me, I've found it. It appears near spacebar when shift is pressed.

T9 dictionary only inputs numbers

I cannot seem to input any letters any more with my keyboard only numbers. any suggestions on how to reinstall ?

I had the very same problem after insalling the T9 cab files given in this forum. Uninstalled T9 and everything went back to normal.

How to disable T9?
There's no Croatian T9 dictionary so it is really annoying to have T9 turned on.
Or maybe if there is Croatian dictionary somebody could post it or link to it?
I searched thru general forums but anything I found there doesn't work.

well on my keyboard is on the top right a shifting-button named "ABC/T9"
Just switch it to the ABC and T9 is disabled.

I mean general.
When my keyboard pops up T9 is usulally on. And I usually forget that and start writing. Then I have to delete what I wrote and turn off T9 with that bottun.
And every time keyboard pops out T9 is on again (except when writing contacts and maybe some other times).
It is pretty annoying.
So, I would like to disable T9 complitely. (or to get Croatian dictionary)

Just did this, soft reseted and started writing new SMS.
And T9 was on
Any other ideas?

Try Shcaps Advanced Config (the black banner will still stay for listing sms recipients suggesting only one recipient - unconvenient)
or
download and install the cab from post #6 in the following thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=357744

I installed this cab and I could only write numbers. there were no letters at all.
Then I installed Schaps Advanced Config but I couldnt find where to turn T9 off
But then I installed cab from post 11 from upper post. And it seems T9 is no more default input metod. I can turn it on but it isn't on by default.
I have to test it more but it seems it works.
P.S. I use default touch keyboard and I did all testings with it.

mane this is a good post, cause i was thinking like all day is their a way to turn it off, this whole time its been on the keyboard, ey thanks yall =)

Hi there is my problme,with my Wizard qwerty keybard is all fine,but if i want to make this sign !,i push the buton,he wrotes me other sign which is on the next button,like my keyboard is gone to left on one step,where could be the problem?

If someone dont understand,i am trying explain in other way,the symbols on the keyboard arent in their places.they are in diferent buttons than shown on keyboard

have you changed rom?...probably your keyboard layout now is the english, search the program "advanced config" and install it, then with this you can change the keyboard layout...

yes my ROM is english,what layout shoud be that would be everything fine?

you have to set your keyboard layout..for example i'm italian and i use italian layout...

Okey i have a dum question but how i can change the keyboard on the minicm ??? The minicm keyboard realy sucks (sorry) but i wanna orginal or some else ???

On an input press and hold. A window will come up. Select input method and check android keyboard.

try to compose new message..
Push
1. Messaging
2. New Message {compose new message}
below you can find {type to compose}
Long press that window
window will popup {edit text} push {input method}
then select {android keyboard}
that's it..

...input is the object in which you can write in...

Yeah, my bad. Sorry. Are you sure that you're changing setting for a keyboard you're using? Because I changed settings in my htc_ime and I'm perfectly capable of making that 'c' of yours with long press on c key...
