I've got a problem with my Xda Neo it's the same like Htc Prophet. I've made an upgrade to Shadow 2.0 Touchedition (WM 6.1), but when someone wants to send me something over bluetooth it doesn't work, althought I'm visible. But I can send something without any problem. I hope someone can help me. Thx

I think that's a ROM related issue... Try a different ROM and see if that still happens.

I'd personally recommend Cloudyfas latest ROM (Build 19213). But, you may want a ROM with the Cube etc. that that ROM doesn't have.

Then that ROM is one of the most stable...
I have installed another WM6 Rom now but there's still the same problem

Have you checked the "Receive all incoming beams" in Settings->Connections (tab)->Beam

I think it's default setting ! . I got the same problem with my bluetooth. I can send file to Nokia N72, but can't receive anything from it, N72 says that: " Sending fail". This problem never exist in WE5, I tried some ROM 6.1 but not resolve, please check your PPC and help me !. I dont want to return WE5
Could any one confirm that HTC prophet has problem with bluetooth in WM 6.0/ 6.1 ? Can not turn it on / off ?

Depends on the ROM. Some are fine, others have problems.
I had exactly the same problem. Sending via bluetooht works, but receiving not. I tried a couple of roms.
With this one I'm now able to receive files via bluetooth:

hi,
i've got my bluetooth enabled and if i'm recieving a file and don't use the device during that time the screen switches off and receiving the file fails
is this normal. what if i had my bluetooth on to recieve messages while on the tube (bluejacking)???????? i will not be able to recieve the messages
can someone shed some light on this. cheers
i believe that's a known issue on the old ROM 1.03 but if you upgrade to the latest one 1.06 u won't have this problem... but u need to read the thread about upgrading to 1.06

Many users of the 1.06 versions have also problems with bluetooth. They can't usi it onymore: bluetooth hardware dooesn't exist on this device! I believe that's a known issue on the new ROM 1.06.

that is true if you install the bt_patch that is included in the ext rom... but if you don't install it.. you won't get this problem... i have it running since day one (the release of the 1.06) with Buzz_Lightyear SwitchIT and not a single error till now.

By default the Bluetooth radio is turned off to save battery when the device goes into sleep mode. I am not sure if it is possible to change this behaviour, but try searching this forum, there might be a registry hack or small software tool that helps.

Then why is the LED blinking blue when it sleeps?
i tried it in the last update and still u can recive files even if the screen is off
many thanks for your replies guys. i'm using the MDA Compact which ROM can i use to update. i know there are different roms by other vendors but i'm not sure if they apply to my mda. i don't want to change the entire rom of my compact because the t-mobile rom seems to be the most stable.

I have searched google and xda forum for a few days, there is some people have the same problem with me, but i can't find any solution.....so i need a help><
My problem is...
My mobile (Dopod 818pro) can vibrate and ring at normal mode, but it cannot vibrate when it receive a MSN messege in suspend mode, it can only have a ring to show it receive a message. I have tested it in many way, eg: set in "sounds & notifications", upgrade/downgrade roms(AKU 2.3, 3.3), use pocket MSN and windows live messenger mobile, edit the notifications in registry..........but it's still the same.
Can anybody here help me? Thanks very much><

I should test this... never noticed that the phone didn't vibrate when you recieve an sms message in suspend... well I'll have the answer for you later
EDIT: Just tested it and it vibrated normally...
try a backup followed by a hard reset or a ROM change... It could be a problem with your ROM...

When there is a phone call, SMS receive, it can vibrate when i set it vibrate in"sounds & notifications"....
BUT , i can't vibrate by "MSN messeger event", even i have set it in "sounds & notifications"........
RING ,SMS IS ALL OK

I have tested many OS yesterday.... I found that....
only a few OS can work with this, and it seems that none of the AKU3.X OS can work (include Jester version and pdamobiz version...)........
i want to know what is the problem and can we solve it?
hmm guess you'll have to use some AKU2.X rom... Sorry but I don't know how to find the difference or where to look for it... maybe some registry key or something... don't know... sorry mate

Maybe you would like to share what roms u using?
Some suggestions, you might want to flash back to the original rom to see if such problem persist.
I'm currently using UDK R7 with murata 1.58.25.14.

Because on a dutch forum we collect al the serialnr. to look at the most common problems with the serialnr. as a reverence.
Maybe with this information i can look a this forum for u so you can contact HTC.
there is a fix on the HTC site
there is a patch for the HTC polaris on the HTC site. Did you apply that?

This patch can not solve BT problem. The BT can't switch on to apply a patch (patch for mute and steady)

Note that: i have try many Radio, many Rom but same problem, even come back to original Rom.
Is it your hardware problem? Seems no ppl encounter the problem. I use it very happy. No hanging at all.
Do you try radio rom 1.64.08.21? the lastest one because no problem with this raido rom for me and other in this forum.

Yes, i have try 1.64.08.21.
This is not a hardware error because some time my BT was switch on, (on that time i dont know why it live)

What is the differences between 1.58.25.14 and 1.64.08.21 version.I don't understand why some rom are 1.58.xxxx and other are 1.64.xxxx
are you using the comm manager or just turning it on from the bluetooth section of connections

Today my Polaris Began to do exactly the same, Bluetooth will not turn on no matter what. I did hard reset, applied the BT patches on HTC support page after the hard reset and my Bluetooth worked for some hours but when I walked in the car it could not connect to the BT Hands free and afterwards it restarted itself and no more BT. Did hard reset again applied the patches but now nothing seems to work. I have the original German 1.25.407.1 GER ROM and it had been working great for the past six months but not anymore today... any suggestions on how to fix this issue??

Bluetooth is weird, i never managed to setup activesync with my cruise with BT,
only USB

I have the same problems with my HTC TC. It is only 4 months old and it all started with the BT problem failing intermittently... now permanent. Then my mic volume is too soft to make proper conversation... and now my USB doesn't work.
My TC information as follows:
ROM: 1.26.457.1 WWE
Radio: 1.58.21.23
I like to flash the ROM with the latest from HTC but no USB connection... to PC.
Can someone advise how I can proceed?? I'm hoping this upgrade can fix all my problems.

You can put your phone into bootloader mode by pressing camera + reset button, connect your phone into PC by USB cable, then flash a rom you want.
In my 3 month experience using Polaris, no any rom or radio at this moment can fix BT problem. Only one method will fix it: goodbye Polaris, buy another phone
So I like to try and recover the TC by trying everything b4 giving up totally. My PC-to-USB connection on the TC does not work and would like to see if I can load the new ROM on HTC site thru' other means via the microSD.
Anybody know how I can achieve this???

rename the RUU_signed.nbh to POLAIMG.NBH copy to the root of your sd card then while pressing your camera button take youir stylist and stick it in the reset hole at the bottom of your phone to the left of your usb.

ok, so my friend put a windows mobile 6.1 rom on my mda and since he did that my bluetooth doesn't work at all! it won't find devices and is not discoverable to other devices. i'm not sure exactly which rom is is because he put it on and doesn't have it on his pc anymore but i do know it has a different task manager than my old wm5 rom. i don't know if this has anything to do with it. anyone had this problem and know how to fix it? please help!!

Make sure you're discoverable (Start>Settings>Connections>Bluetooth>Mode>Discoverable)
Next, check to see (security) OBEX is not checked on.
That can cause bluetooth transfer failures.

After 2 years using Blackberry connect in my Elf (HTC Touch) now it is time to try it on my new Mega, however there is no way I can get it to work. I have tried all versions from 4.0.0.97 to 4.0.0.106 changing the AKU in the register with no success, PIN pending error always.
I would much appreciate any suggestions.

I have tried several cooked ROMs changing the device ID to Elfin or Rapahel hex-editing the ROM and then changing the AKU with no success.
I am waiting for a cooked ROM with Windows Mobile 6.1 as a last chance.
I will keep this post updated.

Would be a bummer to go back to 6.1 wouldn't ? I may also consider this as an option. On the bright side is that with 6.0 I may be able to run BBC2.x instead (with hexed model and coredll) - I am only interested in receiving emails. Anyhow - looks like we are on the similar path of trying to get BBC working on our new devices (HD2 for me).
If you still have your Elf[n] or maybe know Elf comrades with that device - maybe you could check this post and help us out with some info ? TIA

I upgraded my Elfin to 6.5 but I downgraded to 6.1 as I feel more comfortable (I love the stylus!).
Well I have checked the post you point but I prefer the ROM hexediting method as it easier although is not working indeed.
Let's hope someone cook a 6.1 ROM to try.

I know what you mean. Selecting the checkboxes is a royal pain in the .... on my HD2 capcitive screen Nevertheless, on my old Kaiser 6.5 works like a charm with the stylus and the finger.

Forget it, YOU CAN`T, I ended up changing my Touch2 for a Blackberry Torch, what a nice machine!, I do not regret, I love my Blackberry Torch and I do not miss my Touch2.
Trust me, throw away your Touch2 and get a Blackberry Torch.
