Where is file of calendar ?
Is possible to manage clandar from Desktop ( with active sync ) ?
THX
Hello, the file that contains the calendar data (and the contact, tasks, ...) is pim.vol
You can syncronise your calendar with Outlook on the PC and manage your appointments directly from your PC.
If you have twin appointments, any good memory cleaners should be able to fix the problem (sktools, ...)

when i enter birthdays in MS outlook contact details, it automatically generates all day event entries in the outlook calendar for me for the person's birthday. i'd then sync everything into my phone. works for me.

Pocket Informant will display all of your birthdays in the calendar even though they are in the contacts database.
no need to install any 3rd party software for this 1.
Make sure you have loaded all birthday / anniversary data to needed contacts.
(I doubt whether it will work for SIM contacts)
Just go to Settings tab (the last tab at Touchflo3D) > Sync Data (1st option) > Menu > Options and check Calender as "the data you want to sync" along with contacts.
Tap OK and exit out of it. And just sync your device to PC (the usual way). Once the sync is complete, you can see all birthdays, anniversaries in your calender and even on TF3D home screen as well (if the event is to occur within coming 1 day)
Cheers !!!
My Calender is showing duplicate entries because it is showing birthdays automatically from the contacts (birthday category) and also the synced birthdays (home category) from outlook (manually added to outlook). Can somebody help me to disable birthday category?
Don't know if that's possible. Would be nice to know.
I use these two solutions to remove duplicates:
1) For phone: http://gydarindustries.com/?page_id=4
2) For Outlook: http://www.vaita.com/ODIR.asp
Thanks for your response. But I don't have any duplicates in outlook as I have disabled Birthdays category. On second thoughts, I realize that this problem arose only after I restored my PIM from SPB Backup after flashing a new rom. Previously I didn't have duplicate entries (when I took the backup). After flashing, I have not yet synced with outlook. I believe, if I am able to delete my calendar data (or whole PIM data) and resync with outlook, then it should help. But how to delete my calendar data on phone???

The program I mentioned in my first reply (http://gydarindustries.com/?page_id=4) has an option to to a bulk delete of you appointments. You could also do a hard reset offcourse.

Sorry to hijack the topic, but how exactly did you get the contact birthdays to appear in the calendar automatically? I can't seem to find the potion of doing this?
Thanks

Well, it just happened automatically after restoring from a Backup. Initially, after the sync, no birthdays were transferred from contacts. Probably it is SPB Backup which may have transferred the birthdays. In such a case, try backing up your PIM with SPB and then restore. Good Luck!

Hard reset would be the last option as I will loose all my installed programs and their settings. Though I can always backup again with SPB (without PIM this time), hard reset, restore programs & settings via SPB and then sync with outlook for PIM!
But before that, I would definitely try the software you suggested as it seems to be a more quick solution.
Hi guys,
How do you remove all calendar entries at once? I've syncd through an app from work and now all my appointments and calls schedule are listed on my mobile calendar and I want it removed. how do I do that?
million tanks!
just delete the sync parnership (i think you find it in Active sync)... and sync it again with another pc... with a blank outlook profile... it will copy all entries on the pc... then erase everything...
I use WinMo 6.5 and my own ROM having Sense 2.5
I'm dependent on the following feature.
Enter the "Date of Birth" and / or "Anniversary" dates to contacts. Save the contacts and Sync it with Windows using ActiveSync or WMDC. This automatically creates birthday / anniversary events in Calendar. This helps me a lot.
Is this auto event generation there in Android?
Any info on this might help me to migrate to Android.
I think so, but I've never used it. Go to Google Calendar (on computer), under "Other calendars": Add -> Browse Interesting Calendars -> More -> Contacts' birthdays and events
(I think this requires your contacts to be in Google's Cloud)
Hello,
I'm using my windows mobile devices center on my computer at work to synchronize my emails and calendar with my htc touch hd.
However, I would like to synchronize my contacts with my personal computer. My contacts are stored in outlook 2010. It's hard to believe such a common task cannot be achieved using activesync/wmdc... and I cannot find another tool !
That's why I'm asking for some help here .
Thanks in advance,
Sébastien.
Hello!
for these tasks I use PPCPimBackup.
It's a small programm for WM and is saves your contacts, messages, call logs, appointments etc. File with that data you can save on a Storage and Backup anytime.
