Hello everyone,
i just got an HTC TOUCH DUAL, and a friend got me a bunch of apps, including SPB MOBILE SHELL.
I have a bunch of themes/skins, but i can´t seem to make them work... I copied the theme's directory to the program directory in my device but i can't seem to find anything to choose the theme!
Can anyone help me, please??

a simple answer is copy and replace all the files in the spb mobile shell folder on your phone and soft reset

where do i put *.skin files and how do i choose them?

basically i have the iphone skin files for the keybaord. it says to install in the keybaord folder but i cant find that on the device.

I Don't know how to install the Theme in SPB. All always crash.
I using the touch diamond.....
Did you have the last version of Mobile Shell?
Did your pda crasches only when you try to change the theme?
i have the 2.1 version, it was crash when i change the theme...
what is the newest version for this?

can you you tell us what steps you have taken to install spb
after i installed the SPB MS.......
and i don't know how to change the theme.
i find those is come with dat file, after i unzip to SPB then it unable to open again......
You have 2 possibilities:
1) download the exe file and execute it from your desktop.
2) download the cab file, copy it in your pocket pc, go to the directory in your pocket where you copied the cab file, click on it to install.
You don't have to open or dezip the files!
Is the theme file.
they all in a zip file and they told me unzip and put into director.....
@ocarlo. As i think you know no many about mobile shell or themes or windows mobile, zip, dat or whatever. SO please:
1. First search the Forum
2. Read in one of the many mobileshell threads here, it ist explained how to install different themes
3. read or post in first Noob-thread on this side
4. and then maybe post in one of the hundreds of mobile shell threads
- but dont open own threads with such questions, if you even cant explain what your problem is.
I was just wondering how we change these, as you can see Games has a custom icon with it also, and ive noticed that on custom firmwares it can also be done, but i dont actually know how to do it as i want my folders the same as those shown on the custom firmware :]

Sorry but ypu have to use "Search" command... i've posted the same question some mounth ago....
I remember that it's a little difficult... you have to modify some .dll...

yeah, i've found it, now to actually find a decent icon for an "Applications folder" which is similar to the "Games" folder!
we'll be happy if your sahre your new icon as well as the .dll's that should be modified... thx

does anyone know how to delete a locked panel, I just want to remove the 02 one that came with mine but its locked. Any ideas anyone.

hey....i did it with an tmobile panel....just connect to your pc and go to
Computer/X1/Programms/panels
There u can see the panels in folders....maybe u should make a backup of the panel.....but if u delete the folder of the panel it will disappear at once
arrg...please don't delete folders it only causes problems.
Install total commander and navigate into the \\plugins directory
then goto registry\HKLM\Software\SonyEricsson\PanelManager\Panels\o2Panel\Locked and set it to 0
Oh and by the way, a quick search on these forums would have found that answer, please remember that in future for this and any other forum you may frequent.
Oh and yes "total commander" you're gonna have to search for it

Its just a file browser, no different to looking at it in windows. Am I missing something?
EDIT: Nevermind, i needed the pocket pc version, not the windows one lol

I searched for this a while but I couldn't find anything. What I want is that users can make a directory on their Storage Card, lets say "AutoInstall". Then, when they flash my ROM, all the CAB and TSK files are automatically installed during first boot. I don't know how to do this... Can someone tell me (very detailed?) how?

You can do that (and more) with Sashimi and probably xda-uc (user customization). You can search here and google to find out how to use them. I use Sashimi myself.
You can also use the UC_NET which has more user-friendly interface. You can install automatically or let the user interact.
