Macbook Pro using bootcamp - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam General

For those that might have the question.
I've been flashing my 8525 with a xp loaded boot on a macbook pro.
Be sure to turn off the firewall.
Other than that no problems.

[Q] I think if bricked it good this time....

I think I have finally done it....
I can get my phone to download mode but neither ODIN or Heimdall see the phone.
Its weird that I can boot in to recovery and at that point ODIN will see the device, it appears as COM, but it will not see it in download mode.
any ideas?
If i get can in Download mode, it can be fixed.
Get the Drivers.
If your using a 2.3.3 rom get Nexus S drivers.
Install them, then try it.
if not, try on a different computer, more preferably a windows XP (idk why it just always works for me on my old XP)
I had the same issue. U need windows 7. Vista nor xp never worked for me on any oc but 7 did
to be certain, download/install the drivers

XP worked always, and still does.

[Q] [Root] Mac Parallels (XP) won't recognize APX device

I'm trying to follow the "Retail 3.1 CWM Recovery, Root..." instructions from the dev forum and have hit a big roadbump. I'm trying to install CWM and root using XP via Parallels from my iMac (which I've read others have done before) but for some reason XP is not recognizing the APX device (and the device is indeed in APX mode because a pop up comes up on the Mac). The other odd thing is that when the tab isn't in APX mode, it connects just fine in Windows, and I can even access it through adb. I'm hoping maybe someone has a tip or trick on how I can get Windows to recognize the device in APX mode so that I can then point it in the direction of the proper drivers, and eventually flash CWM. Any ideas?!?!
anybody?
Ugh...
Hmm, now I've connected and apparently successfully flashed CWM...but when I go to reboot to recovery via ADB, it just sits at that huge battery graphic on the black background. WTF
I could never get windows xp running in vmware (on a windows 7 x64 box) to recognize my tab.

what is the best and simple alternative for Odin in Macbook?

I have a macbook pro and I hate the fact that I have to rely on a windows computer to flash my phone with Odin. Do we have any alternative for Odin in mac?
What all do we need to do in order to use the odin for mac so that I can flash my Galaxy Note 4 N910G?
Need help!!
I also have Macbook. I used Heimdall but I'm really sorry to the dev but it's not like Odin at all. I ended up installing Windows to use Odin
I have this problem.
To get around it, I used parallels desktop and installed Windows inside that, then when you plug in your phone through usb, it asks if you want it sent to osx or Windows virtual system. Then open odin and it should pop up as normal as if you were running a Windows PC good this helps

Hipstreet w10 pro - Recovery Image or Drivers

Does anyone have the drivers or recovery image for the Hipstreet W10 Pro? I tried using HP Stream 7 Drivers but the touch screen isn't working properly (I think it's not calibrated propperly) along with the screen rotation. I tried contacting Hipstreet but they appear to have gone into administration.

ADB drivers for W10 Pro 64-bit v1607/v1703

Unable to to get ADB to work with "any" drivers I've found using W10 Pro 64-bit v1607 or v1703 but works on W7 Pro 64-bit. Has anyone gotten ADB to work on the lastest W10 Pro builds?? Get Code 10 as if device isn't connected but Fastboot works just fine as the boot loader drivers install automatically.
A long journey but the short version is it was my mistake due to forgotten basic usage.
