I have an orange touch dual which i am using in nigeria.
can use it on my network but i cant seem to get GPRS to work.
Is that how orange made the phone..so tht no one else can setup GPRS?
How can i get it to work pls?

you need to change the connection settings mate. try searching on this forum for your network settings. or try this attached cab, not sure if it will work!

Hi,
I would like to know if anyone else has GPRS problems with the QTEK 9100 ? It hangs up as it wants (once every 10min, once every 24h) If it is connected and I want to sync, it doesn't work, I have to hang up in order to reconnect and sync.
Anyone knows something about this ?

I guess it depends on the operator. GPRS on my 9100 doesn't want to work with MTS. Megafon SIM card solves the issue.
Don't got that problem, got another problem. How do you disable the gprs connection easy ? any know can't find a way to do it easy.
Right now i need to go to /settings/connections/gprs and start changing the settings and push cancel to disable it.

Just press and hold the red end key for more than 3 seconds and the GPRS-connection is terminated. I have even tried to install GB softtweak wich is able even i WM5.0 to bring the disconnect button to the gprs-bubble and it work.

I guess Tver's MTS GPRS differs from Moscow's. I heard they're testing EDGE here. This might be the cause. 9100 hangs on GPRS every time until reset or flight mode on/off.
Yes, the same situation...
In very random moments GPRS hangs ... I'm with Vivatel, Bulgaria...

Hi everyone.
I recently upgraded to WM6 on my SPV M700 (HTC P3600).
I have lost the Orange today menu which is good news! However i seem to have also lost my interent GPRS settings. Think i have to set up a new connection?
I could phone Orange for them but i just know they will not have a clue about there own product and i will be wasting my time.

I'm now trying out t-mobile and need to change the GPRS settings as they are stuck on orange.
I have phoned t-mobile but because my htc p3600 isn't on the list they won't send the settings.

so i bought and i-mate jasjar last week, came home yesterday! i have T-MOBILE i had a T-mobile 3G but i got this now. so i put in my SIM Card and the first thing i wanted to do was test out the internet BUT IT DOESNT WORK!!! and i want to know why!?!? and how i can fix this PLEASE!!! so i type in a website like nba.com and this message comes up "cannot connect for unknown reason. To check you connection settings and chnage them if needed, tap settings. if this problem continues reset your device accoring to your manufacture's documentation and try again" what does that mean? PLEASE help i really need the internet and i just got this pda yesterday!! =[ and one more thing i hardly get service anywhere is it t-mobile or the phone??

Ok did you try to get internet setting from your operator ???.. some time you may need to get it...and did you mean you don't get proper phone signal beside not getting internet ???? is so then you can upgrade your radio rom... instructions in the wiki ( 2nd link in orb's post).... and please keep us updated of any progress...

I second that. I have Vodafone NZ settings .CAB and keep it on a memory card, so that whenever I get new ROM that doesn't come with wizard I just install my .CAB, otherwise you don't get internet, only phone. So find the settings for your provider or ask for someone to post the .cab, then get it on your device and click to install.
The service problem can be either Radio or location or device. Someone on this forum had the same problem and couldn't get proper service at his work. Read the Wiki for the different Radio versions and the correct flashing procedure.
I suggest as a new owner of Uni, you should read the Wiki and forums, it has all the info you need to get you started, addicted and completely in love with your device.

Are you asking us what GPRS 3G / GSM is, or is that what pops up?
Afternoon to you all. Its my first post here so please be gentle.
I used to be on Esato and Im frequently on o2 forum so If i can help in any way i will always try to.
However I do need some help if possible and possible a cab to resolve the issue.
I have got a O2 HD2 rom 1.43.
Its unlocked from o2 and Ive no major issues with the rom at all (all recent updates installed from htc)
However o2 has kindly modified the Connection Setup cab in the settings menu.
When you click on it, you get uk and iom and thats it.
If you pick UK you get o2 only
If you pick IOM, again you get IOM network settings.
Is it possible that some one can extract the propper HTC Setup Cab which i think is 3.1? which has all countries and networks.
At present ive managed to use a version from the HTC Diamond, but this is ver 1.5 and for some reason is very very slow, but does have most of the networks, but not all.
I would be really greatful if some one could help and post it for me.
I know i could use put generic rom on, but im not sure why, but i like my o2 logo (Sad i know )

When i installed version 1.5 from the diamond my MMS stops working completely. When I have removed it too, It goes back to the orginal 3.1 but again no MMS any more
There is a network connection cab somewhere round here, as i used it for my o2 hd2 to get t-mobile UK settings.
Though i had to search the interent to get the MMS server settings, as it doesn't change that.
i cant find any cab for hd2. i can for diamond. ive got my mms working by removing version 1.5 but was hoping that someone had extracted the hd2 version from the hd2 rom. i tried 2 different versions of 1.5 and it can take on average 20 secs to even geg into the connection settings.

Just saw your post after searching a lot on the internet. I also seem to have a same problem. I have a HTC-HD2 from t-mobile which is unlocked, howevere I'm unabke to change the connection settings as it does not give me an option other than "t-mobile.
Any help in rectifying the above problem will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I just sold my HTC HD to a friend, but the problem is that we cant get it to send/recieve MMS!
I live in Sweden and the operator is Tele2/comviq, we have tried all the suggested settings on the Tele2 site, but it just refuses to connect!
I have never used MMS function as long as I had the phone, so I dont know if it worked before, but it dosent work now!
Could someone please help us, and tell if there is something wrong with the phone or if it is just a setting that we are missing!
I have not installed any custom roms, it still has the original wm 6.1 rom!

I had the same problem with T-Mobile and the only way I could get it to work was to turn off proxy server in the connections settings.

it's not touch hd spc if I were you i'd search the networking it forum for your operator as all wm device owners share the same settings
Same problem
I am having all problem with mms (sending and receiving) aswell.
I think the problem comes from our htc hds and 3g n gsm.
When I use my sim card on another phone, i can easily send and receive.
I wonder if those recent roms don't affect the mms thing.
I tried the original rom of my hd with orange and I can send and receive without problem.
I believe there is something wrong with our settings.
