Voice command thru BT - Wing, P4350 General

I have recently uploaded the new open touch and have come across an issue that i need to resolve. I use Microsoft Voice command quite often so i installed 1.6 onto my wing, but for some reason i can not seem to get the voice command to initiate by pressin the button on my blue tooth.. does anybody know of a fix to assign the button on the bluetooth to voice command?

Voice command and Bluetooth

All,
I am using Microsoft Voice Command and would like to know if I can issue voice command via my Sony Bluetooth headset kit?
If MS Voice command is not capable of this does anyone know of product which can? I would like to be able to issue voice command by pressing the button on my Bluetooth kit and also when someone rings me their name is announced.
Thanks
Msuk

audio gateway on xdaexec

as abov has anyone found a way of doing this in running in basic mode using a jabra bt 250v and would like to get the tt5 voice through the headset im probably missing something very simple
Is that supposed to work?
I've found the following works, but it is a bit of a bodge. Replace the VoiceDialler registry entry with the one that loads MS Voice Command (see elsewhere in this forum). When you press the button, Voice Command will startup with its double beep noise. However, unlike the VoiceDialler software, Voice Command does not release control back to the EXEC until you press the headset button a second time. And if you don;t release control, all the EXEC's audio will play through your headset.
I'm not even sure you would need Voice Command, you could probably enter a nonsense path in the registry.
Give it a go and see what happens.

Bluetooth voice dialing doesn't work on US TMo MDA

I just got this device, and I'm mostly pleased with it after applying various tweaks thanks to the fine people on this board. One problem I'm having though, is I am not able to voice dial contacts using my bluetooth headset. I have a Plantronics M3500 paired up with the device using hands-free profile, however pressing the button on the headset doesn't do anything to the MDA no matter if it is on or in standby mode. I saw messages on here that other people have this working, but so far, I haven't been able to. Is there something special that needs to be done? It worked fine for me on my Sony Ericsson P900 phone. Any suggestions are welcome. TIA.
Nevermind....
Uh... sorry just figured it out. It does work, but differently from my P900. I used to just press the button on the bluetooth headset, but with the Wizard, I have the hold down the button for a couple of seconds. Perhaps something to do with the hands-free vs. headset profile.
Are you using the stock voice dialer or Voice Command? I have been trying to find a way to activate Voice Command via the bluetooth headset button, without any success.

No, I'm just using the stock voice dialer. The headset is paired up with the MDA using the hands-free profile. When I press the button on the bluetooth headset and hold it for 2 seconds, I hear a litte tone and the MDA 'wakes up'. As I said in the message above, with my Sony Ericsson P900 phone, I used to just have to click the button, and the phone would go into voice dial. I'm guessing that the difference may be due to using the hands-free profile vs. the headset profile that was used with the P900.

Follow these directions, works great...
Install Voice Command to the default location.
Fire up a registry editor
Go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\VoiceCommand
Modify the string marked "path" from the default \Windows\SDDialer.exe to \Program Files\Voice Command\VoiceCMD.exe
Now, when you press your BT headset connect button, MS Voice command will fire up and take commands through the headset. It's reponses will be played through the headset too.
Yeah, what Dustoff said. The other thing to remember (I learned it from these forums) is that you need to press the headset button twice to fully disconnect from the MDA. The first click disconnects from Voice Command, the second click disconnects from the audio gateway.

I need help getting the microsoft voice command software to work through a bluetooth headset. I used the instruction provided via Bits Inside Registry Editor to change the command on my handheld, but was unsuccessful. My blueangel has the latest rom and ext rom updates via the standardization project, and the headset is a Motorola HS820

The keyword in your request is BlueAngel. This registry hack is for the wizard only. I am not familiar with how to do it for the BA.
Sorry...
sorry, i saw the info, got excited and didn't notice the type of phone listed.
thanks,

There a way to get Voice Command to close Bluetooth Conn.

Ah, Lost my Motorola HS-850 which worked fine with Voice Command, been going through a number of different units, the Jabra J10, Motorola H700 both great headsets except for the fact that they seem to mess up and stop working after a first phone call that started with Microsofts Voice Command. I think the problem is due to the fact that Voice Command doesn't close the bluetooth connection properly since the built in Voice Dialer seems to work.
Does anyone know if there is a versions of Voice Command (official or hacked) or any other way to get Voice Command to "behave more freiendly" with some of the Bluetooth headsets?
i got a jabra 250v and it works flawless heres what i do.. hit my button once and wait for the tone.. do w/e command i wanna do and let it go through then once the command is over with i hit the button again to close the connection so if u are doing a call this is the step i use.. push button once.. wait for tone.. say call erich. hit the button to finish call. wait 1sec then hit the button again to close the bluetooth connection ...works flawless for me
Jacob-mda: That what I used to do with my old Moto HS-850 and it worked perfectly.
Unfotunately this isn't the case with all bluetooth headsets, especially newer ones, I've gone through about 4 or 5. Voice Command doesn't break the connection since it doesn't support bluetooth directly and most of the newer headsets hang after the first call and the only way to get them back is to restart the device or run another program like cyberon speed dialer that resets the connection. Not sure why if it's a version difference in bluetooth implentation, or just some headsets are more forgiving.
Unless there is a way to get it working which I'm not aware of, we need some little utility that would do whatever cyberon speed dialer does to reset the connect and then launch Voice Command, this would make it work with a lot more (if not all) bluetooth headsets which would be great!
It's a shame, I'm caught up between deciding what I want more, a better headset and using cyberon speed dialer (with voice tags yuk) or going with a working headset with Voice Command.
Anyways, it would be great if someone could right something that would reset the connect and then launch voice command. It might not be perfect but I'm sure it would make a lot of people (including myself) with non compatible headsets very happy

Bluetooth w/ voice command?

Hey, i just got a bluetooth headset. There is a phone button, that if you push it you can say whoever you want to call and it calls them (or is supposed to), is there any way that i can have this button work with Voice Command 1.5 instead of the phone default thing? because it works a lot better, and i have to program the voices in for the phone default program.
Thanks in advance.
I don't think it'll work with VC 1.5, but MS has just released version 1.6, which claims to support voice dial -- you can get it from Handango.
