Dedicated facebook apps? - Wing, P4350 General

Hey guys i was wondering if anyone knows of any good dedicated facebook apps? im kind of sick of using PIE/opera mini to look at it, so i was wondering if anyone created a standalone program that optimizes the experience

mmmm..
i second that...i was looking for a app for facebook like the one on the blackberry or the myspace app like on the sidekick lx....i mean it would make it easier to get on our myspace or facebook....if anyone can develop it dat can make a large profit since theres millions of ppl that use myspace especially...

I'm sure there is one out there. Search for a pocket pc app. The forums here are more for rom modding and dev. Windows pocket pc will get you there.

XDA Exec-Can You Use Its VideoCam With MSN Messenger?

The header is the question really in total. Snazzy wee webcam .. MSN Messenger.. the two go great on yer desktop. But on your PDA?. I think we should be told. Looking at a quick past glimpse of posts past .. its a non runner.. but what a wasted opportunity! If you think you know how it can be done .. write in .. NOW!.

Oh and a whinge. ClearVue doesnt want to display my PDF file (jrcalc_guidelines_v3_2004.pdf) but Adobe Reader will .. however as on my Nokia 9500 the pages dont reflow so reading means scrolling all over the shop .. what a palaver! But on the laptop . no probs.. cheers!
Thats it .. now you can go!.
Errrm....not sure if you are asking a question or ranting about MSN.
Wouldn't life be grand if things were as simple as MSN utilizing the same functionality as the Dialer App (i.e. video). Have you SEEN the MSN client? It's about as full of features as MSN version 1.99999.
As to your second comment--many of us here are in agreement that ClearVue screws things up, but Adobe does a better job. There are pros and cons of using both.

Since almost nobody uses video calling, the 2nd camera is currently a bit of a waste. MSN messenger usage would be killer.
I'm asking myself the same question as well as wether you can use this device like a normal webcam (for your pc). I have found some references on http://www.mobile-review.com claiming that you can use a Universal as a webcam for msn but it doesn't say how!
However I did find this: http://www.zone1.de/PocketPC/index.html#webcam
which claims to be software that can upload pictures (e.g. every 10 seconds ) from the Universal to a webpage...interesting...anyone tried this?
Also anyone know how to stream video to a webpage from a universal??
Like http://www.comvu.com/ ?

Is there a way to access Apple MobileMe from Pocket PC

I know there are some threads talking about this, but all refer to the push email service. I myself as a Mac user, use the .Mac service more for iPhoto Gallery, iDisk online storage and other stuff.
I have tried all popular web browsers, PIE, Opera, Netfront, Piscel, Minnino, non of them works with MobileMe. Shame to see only iPhone can do all these tricks but not on Pocket PC. I started using BA, then 6700, 6800, now the HTC Touch, I really want to see our developers can figure it out, then we don't need to force to use iPhone instead of "my phone" (I called my Touch this way because I really like the way I customized it to).
Thanks in advance. If you need a tester, I would like to be the first.
Nope, I'll think you'll find apple has made mobileme impossible to use with anything BUT the iPhone.
Besides, it's an ass. $99 a year for a service that is no-where near as reliable as say, ADrive, XDrive, Picasaweb or Googles various storage options.
Apple excel in marketing shiny things, not making a solid software service.
Not to argue. I do enjoy the integration of all these services with my iMac. Anybody will give it a try?
There are a few ways of making the internet think you're browsing via iPhone. Do a few searches, and you should be able to find out how to do it.
We are toying with dangerous forces here.
Should we ever access MobileMe with a WiMo phone, let alone one with an iPhone skin... I fear the universe will implode.

Dev Request! Mob Wars PPC Version!!!

Ok so I am not a developer by any means, but I am an avid Facebook fan and a devoted Mob Wars player. And I have an idea, but no clue about its feasibility.
While it is possible to play Mob Wars by going to the full FB site on Opera Mobile, it would be amazing if somone/people could develop an application to access FB and the game and play a version of it that is optimized for PPC's. Perhaps a way to log in and go straight to the game and skip the FB home page and selecting the Mob Wars application. If you are not familiar with the game but are on FB check it out under the apps. It is easily the most popular FB application. And, I think it would make for a great PPC game, but would require online access, etc.
Any takers?! I have a feeling it would be really popular if possible and developed!
Since this is my idea, I would prefer that it work on my phone. I use a Sprint Vogue, stock ROM, M2D Iolite Version, WM 6.1. I have install compact framework 3.5 so I can work with that as well.
Thanks and Lemme know.
Did you ever get a responce to this or find another app to play on the phone?
I think it's a great idea, microsoft have released a facebook app which works, though it doesn't have facebook app support unfortunately.
The one problem with mobwars and opera is the way the code has DOM objects with his Ajax handling, you have to retype the URL in each time you fight or do a job.
I'd be more than happy to try and get something like this happening, though I'm not sure about copyright's and whatnot, so I've contacted the developers of mobwars and hopefully they get back to me.
I don't know how well I'll be able to do something like this, I have been developing software for windows for about 8 years and also have been a web developer for about 6-7. I've never written a windows mobile application so I wonder how it'll turn out.
I use a HTC Touch Pro with WM 6.1 and .net framework 3.5, so I'll start fiddling when I have some time and let you guys know how I go. I'm not sure how I'll go about getting permissions as I'm sure the program would require access to the database and what not, but as soon as I know stuff I'll make another post.
Feel free to message or email me about it if you have ideas or want to help.
Thanks,
Daniel

Good workin facebook app

Hi Guys
A couple of months ago, I saw microsofts new facebook app and downloaded it to my touch diamond. Very soon, however, I realized that it kinda sucks, because everything is so slow and ugly. And u cant click on several pictures and it partly just doesnt work. So I searched for another facebook app, but I just didn´t find anything better.
If I could write programs on my own, then I would really make a new facebook app, but since I can´t, I´m just asking u guys if there isn´t a way to make a really cool facebook app, I mean like better than the one from microsoft. Maybe you can use the microsoft one as a base/ start and just make it better or something, but it would be really cool to have a good working facebook app on windows mobile.
you can use your browser and to to iphone.facebook.com its better and easier to use than the mobile facebook, other than that i think currently the microsoft one is the best (which personally i havent really found any issues with it, you may just need a faster connection eg. WiFi)
thanks man....iphone.facebook.com is awesome.
i use this program.. no need to open internet browser.. no need to install cab.. very small app but useful and powerful.. much better than microsoft's official fb app.. the only disadvantage, it doesnt support touch flo.. need to use D-pad
file attached
well....i think every facebook app for wm has some special features...but none is including all these cool things...like the chat or notifications and the possbility to look at pictures...etc. at the same time..it would be cool to kinda add them together...
btw..i realized an issue on iphone.facebook.com.: i wasn´t able to look at pictures with my diamond

Blackberry Apps on HTC Rhodium?

Hey guys, I'm fairly new here. Does anyone know if it is possible to use Apps for Blackberry on the TP2? I'm just wondering. I know that there is a Blackberry Suite for the Fuze, but I am looking if its possible to run apps designated towards the Blackberry (IE like a bank app)
WinMo doesn't have a nice selection of user-friendly / useful(reliable) app selection and I'm sure most of you agree. I'm just tired of the whole iPhone this Android that. Don't get me wrong I love WinMo and the Rhodium all the way! I just want to make the phone a little more useful
