I had a Friend who has a PPC and showed me a program called eXPerience
This is a Windows XP Skin for the people who dont know,
In other words its XP on your PPC
Anyway, i was wondering if anyone had this on there phone and got it working,
I have tryed and i keep getting error after error and not workin?

Yer, I have done, They went Busy, It was Supported for WM3 that was it,
I know its only a skin, But its just like XP with the Facilitys you can do,
and the way it looks and Operates with the Start menue, Anyway can anyone recomend an Easy Skin to Remake over the fone, Am bored of it look

Seems like quite a few of you are interested on the new windows messenger live, so i decide to post the file here. This is still the beta version, but it's near complete and no major bug reported.
Once you install it, it will import all the contacts on your Messenger Live to your PDA contact, some people might not prefer this but there is no option to disable it so use it on your own risk.
Apart from that, this version is much much better than pocket MSN, it support far more function such as file transfer and icon...etc.

Problem is i am out of my area only with my ppc. I have also somehow managed to use my athena for over a week with out rar support.
Pocket rar is impossible to find in .cab format
If anyone can post pocketrar.cab up here for me i would greatly appreciate it

Same problem here, only worked for 1 day, now just comes up with a small box saying "error"!! Can anyone help please?

Looks like mine has gone today as well...after entering name and password it just goes back to the today screen.
Damn.
Same errors here as well. Cannot log into Windows Live Messenger or Live Mail. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling but that didn't work.

Thanks a bunch for that link Boel****. That was the only one that worked on my Ameo and it works beautifully,....except for a bit of lag when running multiple apps. Not complaining though.
'Glad' to hear that, I'm not the only one. Bummer :-(

The cab file created by me only has the newest WLM version which can be found on some new WM6 roms... Nothing special. If its laggy blame MS LOL
Was the old one also laggy? Cause it kinda uses a lot of resources.

perhaps I should have read this forum before deleting all my contactlist (msn accounts) in my outlook.
after a sync my msn live app refused to start up.
after deleting the msn live and a hard reset. I'd tried to reinstall it again, but this time I couldn't get trough the installation. It says installation failed. even after a hard reset!
Is it familiar to someone?
very strange that the problem remains even after a hard reset..

Just installed live messenger OFF here to the SPV M3100 and is working ok i suppose
No sound when receiving messages

Runs perfectly fast on the WM6 ROM! I suppose the newer OS comes with better optimizations than WM5 AKU 3.5!

No sorry Mahmood. I'm running WM6 on HTC Universal, but have noticed a very big increase in speed since WM5. It is even faster than the Athena!! Everything is instantaneous.
Hi i have just got the ameo and love it!!! Only thing is i cany find the MSN messenger on it?? Has it gone or am i being silly? But i have looked everywhere and the cd they give you to download a version does not have my Ameo software on it???? please help or tell me where to get the programme. thanks everyone!

You're quite right, it's missing on the Ameo.
However, you can download the newest and considerably better version for WM6 called Windows live Messenger. Works perfectly on the Ameo and is more akin to the PC version.
Do a search for it on this forum. It's in an older thread.

In order to start MSN messenger, go to Start>Program>Pocket MSN.
Once you have started Pocket MSN, you'll see MSN messenger as the first item for you to use. It's a great little tool. I've been using it a couple of years now, and does everything I want it to do

opera mini is a java app and does as such dont require or depend on a surden version of
wm it run under a midletmanager so any opera mini will work if the midletmanager is the correct one

I am out of words to Thank You, Rudegar, i went through the links that you provided, it was so useful. Found out my problems and solution for the same. I got link to download cab file for Operamini, downloaded and installed it in my PPCs memory card. The first trial was indeed successful

sorry if this has been asked before, i searched but found nothing specific so here goes.
i have been asked by my bro-in-law to downgrade his t-mobile mda compact v to wm5 so he can use the apps he needs to use for his job as a sky satellite engineer.
apart from ruining a perfectly good phone, i'm afraid that it will run like poo and crash often.
so, is there a way to install a wm5 rom to this handset and where do i find a compatible rom?
any help is greatly appreciated

i dont think thats possible, but the apps he use should work in wm6 too.
i use apps from wm2003 and wm5 in wm6 so that wouldn't be a problem i think
